Thanks loads people! Before I begin with the Chapter 6, here's a little something I needed to discuss with you. I am new to this forum, and honestly, I'm having a great time here! With all of you, it seems like a family. Previously I was on Beintehaa forum (still am) but I am more active there only. So, I don't know if you guys know me that well, or if I know you, so I'd like to do that soon. :) Here's the chapter.
Hope you enjoy it. 😃
OoO
"Mr. Kabir Sharma," The doctor calls. I turn around to see the doctor standing right beside us. I look at Ananya and nod, and she understands, and nods back. I look at the doctor, shoot him a helpless look, and walk out of the room with him.
"Kya baat hai doctor? Is something wrong?" I ask. Honestly, right now, after all Ananya's been through, I am really worried about her. What if? NO! Nothing's gonna happen. I just know it. She's brave, she'll get through all her tackles. And so will our relationship.
"Mr. Sharma, what I am gonna tell you now, is something I need you to consider with an open mind. For just a minute, I need you to not think of the consquences, rather, think about all the options you have. Mrs. Sharma has a major case of trauma. We had mistook it by Brain Tumor. For whatsoever reason, she's in depression. It's not much serious, but it will be, if not treated soon."
"So when do we treat it? What do we do? Does it require an operation?"
"We did all we can, Mr. Sharma. Now it's your turn. You need to do what is to be done." Me? What do I do in medical case?
"I don't get it."
"Mr. Sharma, what she needs is care, love, and old memories. Her parents could help. She needs to be around people she loves, and truly cares about. Also, she needs to be around people she can show her emotions to. To whom she can be as an open book. If you know what I'm saying.."
"You mean she needs to be around someone to whom she can share her sorrows with?"
"Yes." Oh? Definitely not Maa, she's too worried sick already, and Ananya will never confess her emotions to Maa. Think of something else, Kabir. Ananya's Dad is already.. Nothing can be done. Who, then?
"Thank you, Doctor. For all what you have done for us."
"It's nothing, Mr. Sharma." I return a polite smile to his and am about to turn back when the doctor calls out, "Mr. Sharma, may I suggest something?"
"For sure, Doc."
"I've seen what Mrs. Kashyap is going through. I mean to say, that, she's Mrs. Sharma's mother, so she is going through a emotional turmoil. What I suggest is that she doesn't live with your wife."
"You mean I seperate them?"
"Seeing Mrs. Kashyap cry and be depressed will only worsen your wife's condition. For a while, at least, let Mrs. Sharma be alone. You can be with her, for you don't seem to let your emotions out."
"Yes, doctor, I understand what you're saying."
"I hope I didn't offend you."
"No, nothing like that, Doc. Thanks a lot. When can I take her home?" I'm excited to take her home because that's where she'll get all right. What needs to be thought about now is, what is Ananya so depressed about?
"I'll like to keep her under observation for the night. Tomorrow first thing in the morning I will arrange the discharge papers."
"Yes. Thank you."
"Don't mention it." And we part our ways. I go inside Ananya's room and look at her looking at Maa crying. No, this is exactly what the doctor said would worsen Ananya! I have to do something!
"Maa!" I reach out to Maa, "Mei aapse ek baar zara baat kr sakta hu?"
"Hmm." I grasp her shoulders and lead her out of the room. Once out of Ananya's earshot, I look at Maa. She's broken. How can I tell her to stay away from her own daughter?
"Maa, ek problem hai."
"Kya problem beta? Kahi Ananya-"
"Nahi Maa. Actually, haan. Ananya ke baare mei hi hai. Ananya depression mei chali gayi hai."
"Depression?"
"Haa. They mistook it for brain tumor."
"Toh ab? Ab wo kya karenge? Kya hoga ab meri bacchi ka?"
"Maa, it's all okay. Sab theek hai. Aap tension mat lo, please."
"Agar tum kehte ho toh theek hi hoga, Kabir. Par sacchi, mera jee bahaut ghabra sa rha hai. Jaise kuch bahaut galat hone waala hai."
"Kuch nahi ho rha Maa, aap fikar mat kro."
"Toh ab iss depression ka? Ananya depression mei? Mujhe... Wo depression mei .. kyu? Uske papa.. Dukh.."
"Aap bhet jao, Maa." I make her sit down, "Dekho Maa, meine Doctor se baat ki hai. They're saying ki ab jo karna hai, humne hi karna hai. They've done all they could for Ananya."
"Toh ab ... mei.."
"Maa, mei Ananya ko apne ghar ke leke jaata hu. Doctor said that she needs to be around someone she can show her emotions to. Maa, woh aapke saamne kabhi apne emotions nahi dikha payegi. For a while, mei usse apne ghar leke jaata hu. Uske baad mei usse waapis apne ghar."
"Par Kabir.."
"Aapko vishwaas hai mujhpe?"
"Hadd se zyaada." I smile and clasp her hands, "Toh phir mujhpe aitbaar karo aur befikar raho. Kal doctor use discharge kr denge. Uske baad mei Ronnie ko bula lunga, aapko ghar lijane ke liye. Aap ghar jaake rest kijiyega. Abhi ki baat hai toh.."
"Kabir..!" I hear Trisha's voice.
"Arre Trisha!" I exclaim. "Jao Ananya se mil aao jaldi se."
"Kyu? Koi problem hai kya?"
"Woh Maa ko ghar lekar jaana hai." I look at Maa, "Aap ghar jaiyega, kal subah aake Ananya se mil lena."
"Theek hai."
Ananya.
Ab tumhare iss depression ka karan dhundhna hai.
