Touqeer had no idea about the earthquake because Fame Gurukul contestants are not allowed to watch television or read newspapers. Thankfully, his mother and brother are in Mumbai to watch his show. "We have spoken to his father and his other relatives. They are safe," said Sonia, a personal response officer from the show.
