You are correct, the song is more deep than a mere thank you at face value. Maybe I am being too optimistic but since this season seems to be the unraveling of Harvey's mindset, I opted to combine the two 😃. It wouldn't make sense to play a song in the background such as that one if the lyrics did not fit the occasion 😕.

Edit - I had thought Donna finding out that Harvey was paying her compensation was going to be a big issue but it has turned out to be a non-issue so far.

I have no idea whats going on in Harvey's head, because the guy is UNPREDICTABLE.

But I loved the last part.
"What could I do for you Harvey?"
"I wanted to thank you."
"For what?"
"For 12 years"
I'm happy he finally realizes that Donna did give up a lot to keep him happy. And the acoustic cover of 'The Scientist' made that scene all the more special.
The lyrics fit perfectly for his situation.
Don't get me wrong. I'M A BIG DARVEY SHIPPER.
But that Sorry was needed.

I'm loving Suits.
I get to see a new shade of Harvey every season. I hope the Darvey ship sails soon. I don't want them to rush it neither do I want them to delay it. Ugghh, I just miss the old Harvey & Donna so much.

Ps. I'm coming here after like 3-4 months and I'm soo glad to see so many new members in this forum. :")

the way season 4 ended..at that time it was unclear as to what harvey meant by the I love you...it was left dubious at the end of season 4 but given the way they are showing what he is feeling in season 5..atleast till now..the way i view it..harvey loves donna..she is the most imp person in his life and the thought of losing her rankled him.. when questioned by donna why he did what he did..he told her the truth that he loved her...he could very well be in love with her if he allowed himself to be..but he hasnt till now..thats how I perceive it

but like you said..maybe as the psychiatrist digs deeper..we would know better

Exactly my point .. If he does not allowing any room for his emotions this is bound to happen .. he is in denial or may be simply unaware or trying to stay unaware, we don't know. Considering the way he deals with his emotions, I can only understand that it's not healthy and it can affect even The Harvey Specter. No wonder why this man with immense control and resistance is going through panic attacks.
