So, here is the 10th chapter of my story. Fair warning though, this part has no AbhiGya.
I really enjoyed writing this one and I hope you enjoy reading it too.

Part - 10
Aaliya rejoiced with Daadi as they came a step closer to their goal. "What next?" Abhi asked as soon as he entered the room. "Come on bhai, we are a step ahead, I guess we can celebrate for now.","There is nothing to celebrate Aaliya, we brought her back by lying to her again and I am afraid if this plan backfires then she wont even look at me, let alone come back to me." Abhi said. Aaliya looked at him and suddenly got sober, "We need to mend all things broken bhai. All hearts that have bled need to be healed before we even come to bhabhi." Abhi looked up confused, "What do you mean?" Aaliya took a deep breath and looked between Abhi and her Daadi, finally she looked at Daadi and said, "Don't you think its time we brought Rachna home?" Daadi looked up scandalized, "Where did she come from? Aaliya we want to work on Abhi's relation with Pragya, why are you.. ","Have you seen Akash Daadi? Does it look like he is the same man who betrayed Rachna? If bhai and I get a second chance Daadi then why not him? Hasn't he been through enough already?" Abhi and Daadi looked at each other and then at Aaliya, "Alright then, but what is the plan?" Daadi asked half anxious of this step, half curious of what her granddaughter had planned.
"Akash? Can you come up to Daadi's room? And bring Taau ji, Taayi ji as well." Abhi said to Akash in the hallway and went to Daadi's room. Akash looked at him confused but decided to do as told.
In the next ten minutes all of Mehra family including Mitaali gathered in Daadi's room. Mitaali just couldn't not come. What if they were having a discussion regarding the property excluding her! she thought. "Why have you called us Daadi?" An impatient Mitaali quipped in. "I wanted to speak to all of you, specially Akash regarding something important." Akash looked up. He walked up to Daadi and knelt before her before holding her palm in his hands. "What happened Daadi? Do you want me to do something for you?" "Yes beta, bring my great grandchild home, bring Rachna home beta." Akash looked up with teary eyes, a sob escaped from his mouth before he kissed Daadi's palm and nodded before his mother started with a string of protests. Daadi looked up, she was prepared for this "If this wedding doesn't happen I will transfer all my property to Abhi and Aaliya, and you will be left penniless." Taayi ji fumed but nodded, "Years of dealing with the old hag and this is what she gives me?" She thought bitterly as she saw her smile triumphantly.
The next day the entire Mehra clan reached Rachna's house. Abhi sneaked a look at the house next door and immediately looked away. Even looking at it caused him so much pain right now.. "It'll be worse for her." His heart cried for her. "We will make it easier for her" his mind tried to soothe his aching heart, "Right now, do what you're here for."
Suresh was reading the morning newspaper when he saw all of them enter the house. He stood up and faced Abhi, "Why are you here?", he asked calmly. Abhi and the rest of them were surprised at this. They'd expected more hostility from him, given that the last time they were here they'd been the reason for his wedding getting cancelled and causing his beloved and his best friend a life time of pain, but Suresh thought differently, he knew that his marriage to Bulbul was anything but real. He had seen it in her eyes, the pain and was almost glad the marriage didn't happen. He also understood that what happened that day wasn't really Abhi's fault. During the wedding preparation he realized, what Abhi felt for Pragya was true love and nothing else. He had seen love for Pragya shine through his eyes. Pragya was in too much pain to see that but he saw it, even when Abhi came to see her on the day of the funeral, if only he could do something for them..
"We need to talk to all of you, if you would allow us?" Abhi asked him timidly. Suresh looked behind him and saw a fidgety Akash looking around the house and he understood what they were here for. "Uhh.. Sure. Let me call ma and Rachu." He went in after asking everyone to sit.
Akash kept looking around nervously. He couldn't help it, his nerves were on fire. He could feel her presence as soon as he entered the house, it was as if the time apart had made him so aware of her. He could feel that she was coming close, and he looked up to see her coming inside the room. She saw him and stiffened, he could feel the gears in her head moving, "Why are you here? Now what do you want?" The questions in her mind clear through her eyes, "To take you home, both of you." He seemed to convey through his.
After an hour of discussion, apologies and promises, Suresh and his mother had both agreed, albeit skeptically, to the wedding; but Rachna was far from convinced. Every time anyone said anything about marriage or forgiveness all she could see was the betrayal and she just couldn't move past that. "I want to speak to Rachna, in private." Akash said. Rachna and the others looked at him. He hadn't said a word until then. That was what upset Rachna further, was he here because of his family's pressure? Suresh asked them to move to the balcony, even though Rachna protested.
Akash caught hold of her hands as soon as they were alone and kissed her knuckles and as much as she tried to remain unaffected, he had felt her breath hitch, "I know there is nothing I can say or do that will undo the damage I've caused to you, to us but I want you to know one thing, I love you." Rachna looked at him, angry tears in her eyes and tried to snatch her hands away but he held on, "I know you think it is as meaningless now as it was before but its not, it never was. I know you wont believe me but the truth Rachna is, that I've always, always loved you and only you. The only difference is that earlier I didn't trust my love for you or for that matter, yours for me.." Rachna looked at him sharply, "How dare you? How dare you say that? You think I didn't love you? How could you even say that?" Rachna screeched taking her hands away. He caught hold of her hands again and continued, "It wasn't you, it was me. The kind of people I'd seen all my life. I just thought of love as some fleeting emotion, that changes with time and money. Even then, I knew you loved me and that I loved you but what I didn't know was how much. It was when, despite everything, you decided to keep the baby, decided to raise it against all odds, when I saw your strength and love for this unborn child, that was when I realized that I love you beyond everything else, that I loved you both so much that I couldn't live without you, that you don't only make me a better man, you complete me. My heart refuses to accept that you will not be with me until the end of time and this time I want to fulfill its wish. I am not saying I won't make mistakes, I am just saying that I would never ever hurt you again, I want you back, please, I die a thousand deaths every day thinking that you are out here all alone, fending for my child while I sit there in a mansion living a life of comfort. I want my wife and child back Rachna. And I will not go home without them. I promise you Rachna, its forever. You, me and.." He placed his palm on her swollen stomach "..this baby." Rachna looked at him, it was as if she could see all those days she spent with him. She closed her eyes and she could feel it, her love for him, his love for her, their baby, every single thing revolving around her eyes and suddenly she felt the baby move, as though it realized that the hand was its father's, as though it was telling her, "Lets go, I need both of you." and in a flash, she knew what to do. She opened her eyes and smiled at him before saying, "OK.. I will give you a chance. Take us home, with you." Akash looked at her shocked beyond words, he just placed his hand on her cheek and drew her in for a kiss. The kiss spell need and passion and above all, the all consuming love they felt for each other and they both felt home.
