" If you are really feeling so sorry then why did you materialize it in the first place, Mr.Malhotra? If it hurts you to see me in a condition as afflicting as this then why did you cause a predicament like this?"questioned Lavanya, knowing that NK will not be able to answer this question of hers.
" I know Lav, that I made a huge mistake and it is gargantuan for you to trust me. But believe me, Lav you don't know the torment when the person whom you loved the most misunderstands you and ridicules your feelings towards them." said NK, while his mind travelled back into the past.
" Oh, I very well know that pain. Courtesy, you and your dear brother. Thanks for dawning the realization in my obliviously darkened mind." remarked Lavanya, sarcastically.
" But I loved you, Lav. In fact I still love you and that's the reason I couldn't let go off you or your dear memories." said NK, while trying to hold her shoulder.
" If you love a person, you should learn to let them go, Mr.Malhotra. But it is quite evident that you never understood the definition of true love and maybe I am expecting the wrong thing from a wrong person. And who knows you might go to Mr.Raizada, and tell him to take revenge from me and my sister as I spurned off your advances towards me." said Lavanya, while pushing him away from her as he tried to hold her.
" Trust me Lav, I never wanted to take a revenge from you. It was just..." Lavanya cut him off to prevent him from explaining himself any further.
" Trust? Just? Do you even know what a girl feels when the person whom she loves the most, and was ready to give her everything to him, blamed her as characterless? No you don't, Mr.Malhotra. And believe me you broke my trust the time you proposed me and you broke the remaining trust this time again. If I have any feelings for you then the name for those feelings is just HATRED!" said Lavanya, while shouting the last word with all the strength remaining in her.
NK was totally devastated by the outburst of his paramour. He came upon to the conclusion that it was neither the right time nor the right place to pour out the feelings, which she herself aroused.
" I will go for now, Lav. But let me divulge this to you that the day when you will run into to my arms is not too far because I will not rest before making you mine, with your full acquiescence." vowed NK, before leaving a grief-stricken and astounded Lavanya, who never wanted the words uttered by NK to come true.

" Hello, Uncle. I hope all is well from your end." wished Arnav, as he received a call from Shashi much to his surprise.
" Hello,Beta. I am fine, thank you. I hope all is well from your end too. Just wanted to know about the proceedings of the collaboration." said Shashi, formally though deep inside he admired Arnav and secretly hoped that he could get Arnav and Khushi married. And that was one of the reasons, he wanted both of them to work on this collaboration so that they could understand each other and get to know about each other.
" Collaboration seems to be going well till now, Uncle." said Arnav, analyzing the reports of the collaboration mentally.
" And Khushi? How did rendezvous go?" asked Shashi, finally coming to the point.
" Hot." said Arnav, and the gasp he earned from Shashi after he said that made him realize the folly he committed.
" I meant the discussions soon turned into debates and hence it increased the temperature of the room. Hence, it was hot but I sincerely hope that Khushi understood my point there and didn't misunderstand me." said Arnav, stating the truth in a completely different way, which fooled Shashi cleanly.
" Oh! Khushi is a sport, but sometimes too filmy and dramatic. So she is quite unpredictable. I will speak to her and make her understand what you wanted to tell her." said Shashi, naively believing the not-so innocent Arnav Singh Raizada.
" No, Uncle. It's okay. You wanted both of us to do it and if I interfere you in this now, then your idea would not be fulfilled. And you must be having so much of work there too. So don't worry, I will manage it myself." said Arnav, scared that Khushi will reveal the truth to Shashi and Shashi will cancel the collaboration.
" Sure, beta. But if you ever need any help, don't hesitate to ask me or Khushi." said Shashi, before disconnecting the call.
Such a well-mannered boy, he is thought Shashi unaware of the games he played with his daughters' lives.
