PART 16- THE UNUSUAL DATE

As soon as we climbed in the car..i felt butterflies in my stomach. It was first date ever. I never dated any Guy.. I did have crushes before maan but those weren't like this one. I blushed at my own thought and lower my face...

I straightened myself...when I heard his chuckle..

" someone's blushing a lot..." He smirked..while driving..

I  bit my lip...and cleared my throat ... " umm...whom r u talking about " I replied..faking a silly smile..

Maan smiled..." No one.." he promptly said..and continued driving..

I shrugged my shoulders and..looked away sighing in relief..

" btw...geet.. I love red tomatoes..." his next words... made me squeezed my eyes tight...and go more red..

" i.. I..m not a tomatooo...okay..." I uttered... grumpily..Still not looking at him..

"whatever..But I loveee tomatoes...red ones..."
Once again his husky voice drove me to the edge..

" oh god...whats in store for me..next.." I murmured... I knew his teasings wont stop...and they will keep..making me feel mushy...  I lowered down in my seat and  he chortled..at me..

We reached our destination...and it wasn't less that a jungle haunted place..

I gulped my saliva..climbing down from the car. It reminded me of..old..hindi horror stories...

" lets go "   Maan said strolling ahead...

My eyes turned big...watching my surroundings.. and I ran behind him..

" grrr...what type of date  is this " I cribbed..following maan..

I was walking slow due to my heels... and Maan was running ahead... he didn't even look back at me... I made a face... and cursed him under my breath .." woohooo" I screamed...as I was about to fall...

On impulse I closed my eyes tightly... But surprisingly the fall never came.. I landed  on something soft yet hard... it was comforting n warm ..

I slowly opened my eyes...feeling glad... Only to find myself in his arms..

My lips curved into a small smile..and my heart thumped..loudly.. whispering " Knight in shinning Armour..." I traced my arms..around him

My smile widened...recalling the day when I had fell in his arms..

" are u okay..what r u staring at??' maan said gazing..me..

"ah... nothing..." I uttered roiling my hands n biting  my lip..

I straightened myself...and tucked my hair...feeling flushed..

The next moment I was  raised up in the air... By him

" maaan..." I gasped...startled

He slanted his face..looked me in the eye and replied.. " I cant let u keep falling everytime..geet.."

Those words touched my heart... No one had ever said them to me.. For me it meant a lot...

As he walked along the path..with me in his arms.. I felt solace... I felt happy... the feeling cant be described... I felt blessed..

Maan placed me..down ... and seated himself... I smiled...and looked around..

My expressions changed ...and I made a o shape face..

" whats dis..." I shrieked in horror

" what??" Maan replied..casually seating next to me..

"Is this a place for date.. this is scarrryyy" I mumbled...in low voice..

Gosh I was in the middle of  scary dark forest...

"so.. its fun right..." Maan winked at me.. and stood to his feet...

" are u carzy..u think this is fun..no ways..."

He didn't reply me..and moved inside the tent..

" are..are u listening..." my voice trembled...I was...hell sacred..

He probed out of the tent and..made a blank face...

" geet don't bug me.. Already.. u have..irritated me soo..much..now..just shut up and have this..." He passed me...pizza..

"pizzaa!!' My face beamed...finding something normal... I neglected his words..and looked at my pizzaa dreamily..

He chucked... ya.. I thought of camping..But ur heels..ur dress...wont go with it.. and camping food wont suit u so...pizza.." He said arrogantly...and sipped his coke..joining me...

" hawww..." my jaw dropped...listening to him..

I was literally burning.. But no words..came out of my lips..  I nipped the pizza.. and ate..It angrily..

I felt soo stupid... to have wore this..suit .. This wasn't my style... But I thought of the indian dress..he had given me.. and that's y I made up my mind to wear..this suit..

Gulping 4 slices of pizza..took me..nearly and hour.. And maan.. he dint speak at all...  he was lost somehwhere..

And I was mum.. in all there was total silence..

My patience was fading...And finally I bursted..

" maan..what the hell are we doing.. this isn't like other dates.. infact this isn't a date..." I screamed...at him..

He seemed astonished...and his eyes tapered on me..

" yes..." I pointed my finger at me.. " u called me for a date.. I came in a jungle...for u..ate a whole pizza...in this place... and..u..u dintt even do anything...people dont behave like this on a date"

I sighed..angrily...and looked away..

"what do u want me to do..geet" I heard him say..

I pressed my lips tightly...and turned..my face.. " oh.." I gasped..finding him...soo close to me..

I blinked my eyes... And he repeated " what do u want me to do...geet..ummm..." his husky voice... fluttered my heart... My lips sealed, eyes were...gazing him...and shying away..

" bolo...geeet..." His hand...grabbed my waist..drawing me close..

His hand..moved...up to tuck my tresses... His fingers touched my skin..making me jolt..

" bolo na" his face..was mere a inch distance from mine... hands...ruffling my hairs...

We grew extremely...close...

" I knw..what a date means..geet.. I just wanted..u to..." his voice...trailed..off...as his nose..traced...my cheek...

My lips parted...i knew..what he meant.. he wanted me to take the first step... ..

" don't u..feel scared...of me...umm"  his lips brushed...my cheek...while his finger...ran along my hand..

I was a little nervous .. But the feeling..which I felt for him had overpowered it..  It wasn't  attraction..

Our noses touched...and breaths mingled...

I was prepared for a kiss... But he again surprised..me.. by pressing his lips on my forehead.." bolo geet aint u scared.."..

I smiled feeling his kiss.. That kiss told..me all his feelings which he never did..

" no..maan.. I trust u.." I stated..with confidence..

I said it with all my heart...

As soon as I spoke...those words.. I felt him going stiff... His body...grew cold... and he..parted from me..

" what??" his face...was red..in anger...and shock..

I was confused..what happened to him all of a sudden..it made me...awkward..

 

" did.. i..say anything wrong.." I said... looking at his frantic expressions..

He clasped..my shoulder..tightly..

" u cantt geet u cant trust me..u r not serious...right..." his voice was. Remorseful...and eyes were spitting fire..

" ah...' I groaned.in pain... his hold was hurting me.. It was painful..

" maan..u r hurting me..." I moaned...hissing...

" u cantt trust me..geet u canttt.,.tell me u r not serious...teeell meee." his hold was..tightening more..

"maaan.. u r hurting me..." I cried... trying to pry off his hands...

He glanced at me..sorrowfully  ...and closed his eyes in pain...before... leaving me..

" ahhh...sss" I rubbed my arms..which were aching...

I was..throbbing in pain..when I heard..His car's honk..

A shock wave ran through my veins...

Did maan leave??

" maaannn" I screamed...for him..but he wasnt around me.. I stood up...and called for him...again

"maaannn"  Finally it dawned upon me.. Maan left me alone..

I fell on my knees...tears pooling my eyes..

maan left..me..." I gasped...loudly...tears rolled down my cheek..
