I think dev's father and chaubey ji must be business rivals. till now we got to know chaubey ji is a proud person. who can do anything to save his self respect. to spoil chaubey name and fame in banaras dev must have planned to use sneha to win against chaubey. later either sneha or rishi must have knew about dev evil plans and to save her fathers life sneha must have left with rishi.
