Shahid wants to Surpirise Bebo..

Kapur is planning to fly down from Toronto to celebrate Kareena's birthday on September 20 (Oops! Guess it's not a secret anymore)




Seems like their break-up hasn't led to severed ties between long-time lovers Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapur. Bebo celebrates her 27th birthday on September 20, and we hear Dodo (Randhir Kapoor said it, not us!) is planning a surprise visit and party for her.

Well, what can we say, news of her dating Tashan co-star Saif Ali Khan hasn't really fazed Shahid, eh? The actor, who is currently shooting in Toronto for Aziz Mirza's Lucky Charm, will arrive in Mumbai a day before Bebo's birthday and will no doubt try to salvage their once-strong relationship.

Low-key affair

A source close to Shahid informs, "He's been shopping for Kareena whenever he gets time off from shooting. He knows Kareena is fond of gizmos so he's bought her the latest iPod and also a mobile phone. He really wants to surprise her this year."

We're told Shahid will host the party at his apartment in Versova and will make an entry just before midnight to surprise Kareena. In fact, he's taken Karishma Kapur into confidence for this surprise. Shortly after, the actor will return to Toronto to resume shooting for Lucky Charm.

The source adds that Kareena rarely celebrates her birthday with a bash. So far, it's always been a low-key affair with family and close friends. "This year, Shahid has taken permission from Aziz Mirza for time off to spend with Kareena. Karishma and her daughter Samaira will also be part of the party," says the source.

However, no one is sure how this will go down with Kareena, who is reportedly besotted with Saif Ali Khan. But sources insist Bebo and Shahid will keep up appearances at least until the release of their film Jab We Met in November.

As an on-screen pair, Kareena and Shahid have failed to give even a single hit together, so Jab We Met is the crucial for both of them. While Bebo's been out of work for over a year, Shahid's only just beginning to come into his own as an actor and box-office winner.

But a close friend of Kareena avers, "They've been brought up in the film industry so they know how things work here. Kareena is extremely fond of Shahid and will not let this relationship die so easily."
