I originally hail from Gwalior but we have been living in Satara.I came to Mumbai to pursue my studies and a career in acting was not really planned.
I was interested in acting but since I belong to an orthodox business class family, it was not easy to convince my parents. If not an actress, I would have become an engineer, like my brother.
Titliyan(Sahara One), in which I play a college girl which was a suitable role for me.
In Parivar I play the younger 'bhabi' of the protagonist who has humourous grey shades.
I prefer comedy the most but I can enact any role. People don't realise that playing comedy
is not easy.
The current serials are Parivaar on Zee TV and the Marathi serial Avgachi Sansar on Zee Alpha.
Both are good but the treatment and the contents differ. In fact I have acted more in Marathi films like Aayee No. 1 and Issh.
I am not keen as I am quite happy with mywork.
Firstly I go through the script, try to understand the significance of my role, get mentally prepared and then essay the role.
Yet to come.
Negativity and people with negative attitude in life.
Better shows, better roles.
