What an episode between (K)unti-(D)anveerKarna...😉 😈Siddharth Tewary, take a bow...👏 I thought Star Plus' Mahabharat was his limit of creativity, but with Suryaputra Karna, he has created a new benchmark for himself!!
So, Karna meets Kunti in his childhood, and guess what? Kunti feeds him with her own hand, something which even Karna's vile mother Radha 😡 doesn't do...Really?
Could it be any more creative? 😡
Personally, I am liking Kunti's characterisation...At this stage, maybe she was not bad...I believe that her shrewdness came with age...But butchering Radha and juxtaposing two scenes, where Radha is being a witch, and Kunti is being a Devi is insulting to Radha, as a character. This is not fair...Kunti was an exceptional mother towards the five, but she, maybe due to partial helplessnes and partial cowardice, had let Karna down...then y this distortion?
I am glad that Siddharth Tewary has realized the underlying helplessness of Kunti, which I also agree with, and which most authors try to overlook...but there is no need to whitewash her, to exaggerate this...
Anyway, Pandu looks good and I like this actor more than the previous one...
And then enters Pitamaha Bhishma...I actually LOVED his entry...This actor doesn't have the brilliant voice or physique of Arav, but he had the perfect aura of a patriarch. Although, I would prefer Arav more, this actor seems to be very promising...I liked his dialogue delivery...it's very different from Arav's but certainly great. And as usual, the same old Sutaputra jaap...I really want to know, were Sutas not allowed to be warriors at all? Then how did Keechak, who was also a Suta become such a powerful warrior in Matsya Kingdom, that even King Virat feared him?
And we had 'Kshatriya Satyavadicha'!! Same verses, with just a different tune!! The previous one was much better but this one is decent...I can visualize Draupadi making her entry with a new version of 'Kumari Chaapi Panchali'...😆
So, Adhiraath comes searching for Karna, and in minutes, he traverses a snow-covered mountain, and reaches an evergreen forest...It's really weird that Adhirath and others wear such heavy clothes due to cold, and Pandu and Kunti, who live nearby, are scantily clothed in such a climate...😆 Siddharth Tewary, please take note on your next serial on Mahabharat!!
I am scared, they might even show Karna and Arjun being friends in childhood...😆
In the precap, we see Karna and Kunti playing around in the forest....and Karna falls down the cliff, straight into a river, while saving Kunti...much like Subhadra during Kalyavan scene... Poor Karna...😭
The actors are decent, and so far, they are the only relief...
