PART 10

As soon as sharon went out of the room , rey barged into the room... swayam was about to go to the washroom to call it a night when he suddenly got startled by the door banging open... he immediately turned to see rey standing there with his hands folded ...

"what the hell was that swayam..." rey glared at him.. swayam shrugged in confusion...

"abhi abhi Sharon ko kya bol raha tha tu?? Pagal hai kya??she came to ask you everything and tune use bola kyun nahi???" rey couldn't believe that swayam was capable of goofing up everything to this extent...

"kya bolu???" swayam asked blankly...

"fine.. you don't have to say anything.. I'm going and saying everything that I know to sharon and taani right now..." Rey was about to walk out of the room when swayam held his shoulder to make him stay back...

"no swayam... now I am not gonna listen to a word you say... abhi tak mai isiliye chup tha kyunki you had a point... jab tune explain karne ki koshish kiya tab kisine chance nahi diya...par ab wo ayi hai tujhse baat karne to clear everything..." Rey was frustrated with this swayam... with the passing year swayam had turned out to be someone who was ignorant and indifferent with his own life and as his best friend rey was scared to see this swayam...

"ab kyun???" swayam could only say this but rey exasperated and made swayam sit on the bed and himself settled beside him...

"please swayam.. for a second think from sharon's point of view..." rey knew this was his last chance to make swayam understand...

"uski point of view se dekhta hoon isiliye abhi tak thik hoon..." He said casually and blankly...

"of course not swayam.. agar tu sochta uski point of view se toh abhi jake use sab bata deta.. uske baad jo hoga dekha jayega..." rey s voice was slowly raising and so was his anger and frustration...

"kya batau?? Batane ke liye kuch batane layek honi bhi toh chahiye... char saal pehele she didn't question me... I get it... but then after we met in Singapore.. when she came back to india she didn't ask me anything... Why now?? Just because sheena said I was not wrong... use mujhpe varosa nahi hai I can understand that.. but how she even trust the girl who destroyed everything that she had..." Swayam said softly yet rey could hear his voice getting choked...

"I know what you are feeling but think about Sharon , char saal pehele it was not possible for her to trust you right?? And you know right ?its because of whatever happened in college... it was fun for us but she loved you and then also she had seen exactly the same thing..." before rey could finish swayam looked up at him . there was something in his eyes which made rey stop...

"exactly rey.. at the end of the day I am not a good person... isiliye mujhe kisiko kuch explain nahi karna hai.. because I will always be judged by my past... kya guarantee hai ki koi firse mujhe mere past se judge nahi kerenge...so why should I even try rey??" rey kept quiet and swayam continued...

"and right now she thinks I am right.. and if she comes to know anything , she will be hysterical.. who will handle her then??? And even if she thinks I deserve one more chance , but there's nothing left in me to start something again.. I am drained... I don't have the strength to invest emotionally anywhere..." He covered his face with his palm , resting his elbows on his knees... rey didn't have anything else to say... But he needed to try for one last time...

"what about aru..." He pushed swayam to that extent where all his leftover attachments were involved...

This time swayam didn't have anything else to say...

Sharon was sitting with aru on the the couch playing with her...

"mumma... make my hair..." Aru pouted at Sharon and she giggled...

"abhi we will go to sleep... abhi what will you do tying your hair????" Sharon kissed her forehead and removed the locks away from her face...

"taani...swayam ne dinner kia??" Sharon asked taani nervously... taani shook her head...Swayam's mom called Sharon to join her with some important work and thus taani and aru were left in the lounge...

"umm.. aru... baby.. can you do a work for pia???" taani asked aru pulling her on her lap...

"yesshh..." aru said sticking her tongue out...

"aap papa ke kamre mein jake unhe dinner ke liye convince kar doge??? He has not eaten anything..." Taani didn't even know why was she so bothered all of a sudden about swayam after all these years.. aru nodded like an obedient kid and walked slowly to swayam's room...

Aru slowly pushed the door with her little hands... since the door was not locked she could open it easily... swayam was laying on the bed but as soon as he saw the door open , he got up and immediately a smile came on his face to see aru there... Aru also grinned wide seeing him... she walked over to the bed and swayam forwarded his hands to her and effortlessly picked her up and pulled her on the bed...

"kya hua meri chocopie ko..." Swayam kissed her nose and made her sit on his lap...

"pia ne kaha aapne dinner nahi kiya..." As soon as she said it swayam mentally sighed... weird family he has got...

"unhe kuch nahi pata.. papa office se khake aye hai.. apne khaya????" he asked her... aru was to innocent to catch his lie... she immediately nodded her head ...

"aur milky bhi khayi..." She said proudly and swayam smiled...

"you mean piya???" swayam corrected her... aru didn't understand what she said and thus frowned and scratched her head...

"accha okay..ab bohut raat ho chuki hai.. aap mumma ke paas so jao... mai apko chor ayu???" he asked silently wishing aru wouldn't want him to come.. he didn't want to face anyone at the moment... aru shook her head vigorously...

"no papa.. I am a big girl.. mai khud jaungi... good night..." She kissed swayam's cheeks and then frowned...

"kya hua???" swayam asked narrowing his eyes...

"this hurts..." Aru made an angry face pointing to his stubble... swayam smiled and pinched her cheeks...

"sorry chocopie.. I'll make this disappear..." Swayam made aru get down from the bed and held her hands till the door... after he was sure she reached the room , he closed his door and called it a night... another night without peace...

As usual swayam was in the office a couple of hours before the office starts... only a few of the employees were there and as soon as swayam walked in he couldn't believe his eyes... Sharon was there sitting in a cubicle with sanaya , their PR head... sanaya and Sharon were good friends but still swayam didn't expect her to be present in his office right in the morning without his knowledge.. he somehow maintained his calm face , walked towards the lift lobby and straight away went to his cabin... he entered his cabin to see aman working on the desktop...

"swayam thank god tu a gaya..." Before aman could finish swayam gave him a hopeless look...

"what is Sharon doing here..." Swayam was too confused to react...

"haad hai yaar.. teri patni hai.. tujhe pata hona chaiye..." aman said smirking and swayam glared at him...

"tu bolega???" swayam mentally cursed aman left and right...

"arrey subah se purani security ko dhund rahi hai..." as soon as aman said it , swayam nearly lost his sanity.. he was too shocked to even face palm...

"you know kisliye... Aisa face mat bana.. uss raat tu , sheena , maria and wo security hi tha office mein..." Swayam flinched at the mention of that night.. aman knew that but he also knew that it was high time swayam started acknowledging the reality and so he continued... " she asked maria.. but uss raat Sharon ke office mein ane ke baad hi maria left.. so she has no clue about anything.. and clearly humne maria ko kuch nahi bataya..." Swayam sighed... " and maine Sharon ko bol diya that the security has left the job which is true..." Aman finished...

"tujhse kuch nahi pucha????" swayam asked aman...

"pucha??? You must be kidding... But maine kuch nahi bataya.. more appropriately Sharon ne mujhe mauka hi nahi diya bolne ka.. she was hysterical.. she didn't let me speak..." aman said with a sigh... Swayam nodded...

"please call her here..." Aman nodded and went out , not before patting his hands on swayam's shoulder ...

After some minutes swayam was still standing there , when Sharon without knocking came inside...

"what are you doing here???" swayam asked her calmly... " this is my office Sharon... and please yaha log kaam karte hai... don't give people a chance to gossip about..." Swayam tried to make her understand...

"look..ye meri life hai all right??? Tumhe kisne license dia iske saath kuch bhi karne ke liye??? Do you even realize mai kis state mein hoon?? Tum kuch bol nahi rahe ho.. sheena ne nahi bola... and how dare you say mai tumhe disturb kar rahi hoon???" she snapped at him...

Swayam tried to recall when has he said that she was disturbing him but then he figured out that Sharon was too angry right now...

"and you are not understanding that aisa kuch nahi hai jo mai bol sakta hoon..." he literally pleaded in front of her to make her understand...

"bloody liar... I know tum jhoot bol rahe ho..." she snapped at him loudly...

"sab sun sakte hai.. ye office hai..." swayam said sternly...

"that's basically your problem.. log kya sochenge isse mujhe kya?? And I am your wife .. so I can scream at you..." She said casually ...

"ghar jao... mai tumse abhi baat nahi kar sakta... for god sake mai yaha kaam karne aya hoon..." he said calmly...

"tum badal gaye ho swayam..." she looked at him amused... " actually nahi.. tum abhi bhi wohi same swayam ho.. shameless and selfish... jis ke liye kisi aur ki emotions ka koi value nahi hai...but I will find out the truth... without your help.." with that she turned on her heels and was about to walk out of the cabin when her eyes fell on the couch at the corner... swayam followed her gaze and immediately he knew what she was thinking.. both of them closed their eyes as the night they wanted to erase from their memory came flashing back like a midsummer night dream...

Sharon took a deep breath and walked out of the cabin while swayam stood there blankly,... After a couple of seconds he shook his heads to remove his thoughts and walked over to his chair to concentrate on his work...

As Sharon had walked out of the cabin , aman has seen her... he knew whatever these two were doing was only increasing the web of confusions and fights and as a friend of swayam , he couldn't let that happen...

He immediately took his cell and dialed rey's number..

"rey.. mai aman bol raha hoon..." Rey sensed something weird in his voice...

"haa bol sab thik haina..." rey immediately closed the file he was working on...

"lagta hai kuch thik hone layak hai?? Sharon ayi thi office.. firse larai hua hoga... and yeh swayam pata nahi kyun Sharon ko kuch bol nahi raha hai..." aman said over to rey while rey rmemebered whatever swayam had told him last night...

"hum kya kar sakte hai.. hum Sharon ko batane jaye toh swayam aur withdraw kar lega khud ko.. and you know he has a point when he says we should not tell her anything..." Rey said and then continued.. "par mai maan leta yaar uska har logic agar swayam khud khush hota.. par wo bhi khush nahi hai..."

"exactly my point.. who khush toh hai hi nahi.. and you know what rey?? Bhad mein jaye in dono ki khushi.. they are idiots... per is sab ke chakkar pe ek choti si bacchi kyun suffer karein.. abhi she is not understanding anything but jab bari ho jayegi just imagine kya beetegi uspar..." aman was really frustrated with swayam and Sharon...

"mai ye samjha samjha kar swayam ko thak chukka hoon..." rey sighed...

"rey mere paas kuch hai joh sab clear kar sakta hai.. just slight hope hai... but I am not sure about doing anything..." aman came to the point as to why he had called rey...

"kya ???" rey asked in anticipation... after aman told rey what he wanted to say , rey had a slight smile on his face

"don't even think twice... do it right now...i am sure.. kuch na kuch toh hoga..." Rey said getting all excited...

After all , at the end of the day , its not destiny which would keep them going but they would have to keep their destiny going...
