Hi everyone, for the past few weeks all i have been doing is reading everyones fanfic's and i must say all i dream about is - Shiv Gauri nowdays ;)
So i thought why not give it a try myself! i hope you like it and please do comment if its not upto mark.

She walked into the room wearing a white flowing gown. Deep halter neck, long slit, dark kohl eyes, lightly glossed lips, hair openly dancing to the tunes of the breeze, long earrings kissing her cheeks. She knew all eyes were on her. She had a carefree attitude. Ofcourse all would stare at her. She was dressed to kill.
She caught up with some of her girl friends at the lobby and started chatting away as they walked towards the car.
Friend: Hey Gauri – you look like a bomb today
Gauri: Don't I always ;)
Actually Gauri was always aware of the attention she got not only for her looks but also for her smartness. She was the PR manager of a reputed mobile company in Calcutta. She never learnt to loose, be it studies, swimming, tennis or even beauty pageants – she was always first. In fact she never had any competition.
She had come down to Goa with her friends for a holiday and was on their way to the Navy Ball on a ship. She had heard a lot of wild stories about navy balls and she decided that she would have a blast today.
As soon as they entered the Ballroom, all heads turned towards Gauri. She just walked in – looking no less than a model and swayed right to the bar and ordered drinks for herself and friends.
Standing next to her at the bar was a gentleman, wearing a black suit hair gelled back and could see through the suit that he had a body to die for. He was busy talking to his friends and suddenly he glanced towards her and the glass from his hand fell leaving a shocked shiv kapoor stare at Gauri...

Standing next to her at the bar was a gentleman, wearing a black suit hair gelled back and could see through the suit that he had a body to die for. He was busy talking to his friends and suddenly he glanced towards her and the glass from his hand fell leaving a shocked shiv kapoor stare at Gauri.
One look at her and he knew that she was meant to be his. Shiv Kapoor, the most eligible bachelor or Mumbai – Architect by profession, had many a success stories to his credit. Many buildings in Mumbai, Delhi, Calcutta, even Dubai were designed by his expertise and now he was in Goa for a project.
As he stood there staring at her, his friends noticed something wrong with Shiv but when they looked at Gauri – they were in awe of her too.
Friend1: OMG! What a bomb
Friend2: I think I am getting an attack
Shiv: Back off guys – she is mine.
They all just stare at her with admiration and suddenly Gauri looks their way and thinks to herself "Lattoo GANG!"
Gauri: Come on gals lets dance!
They all move to the dance floor and Shiv's eyes follow her like a vulture where ever she goes.
Shortly, there was an announcement:
"Ladies and Gentlemen, as per our custom, from sharp midnight we will play only couple songs, so if you have not found your partner you still have 5 minutes!"
Gauri's friends look on at the guys and Gauri decides to just walk away somewhere – before she is asked to dance. Just then a hand pulls her and she turns to stare at a man dressed in a black suit.
Man: Hi Beautiful can I have this dance with you
He looked drunk and the last thing Gauri wanted was some dimwit throwing up on her gown so she politely refused but he was persistent and was almost forcing himself on her when suddenly Shiv comes and pulls Gauri and asks her
Shiv: Honey, is someone troubling you?!
Man: Sorry Shiv, I dint know she was with you
Shiv: (Giving him a stern look) It's ok. Now will you please excuse us, we would like to enjoy this dance together!
Gauri looks at Shiv and the man. She was in a daze with the drama in front of her.
Gauri: Thanks! He was acting like a leech.
Shiv: I don't blame him! Please excuse me if I turn to one as well.
Gauri blushes and they start dancing. He lays his hand gently on her waist and hold her hand with the other. Shiv feels a current pass through and wonders if she feels the same. But her eyes were cold. What could be playing in the mind of this beautiful lady – he wondered…

Gauri: (Trying to release herself from his hold) Excuse me Mr.
Shiv: Shiv, Shiv Kapoor. – Architect from Mumbai. Currently here on a project at…
Gauri: Save it Mr. Shiv, I am in a hurry!
She just walked past him. Turns back to look at him and says, "Thanx for the help but I am allergic to leeches" She winks and walks towards her friends!
Shiv stood there on the dance floor glued – staring at her, reliving what just happened. Was it a dream or a girl actually gave him a miss! He failed to understand but he was so mesmerized by her that he refused his ego to come between. He thought to herself, if she is playing – then I am game as well! So he turns around and walks to his friends!
Gauri walks over with her friends to the deck – she is holding a glass of wine. Suddenly her friend receives a call and she excuses herself leaving Gauri alone on the deck.
Shiv sees her alone and thinks that this is the chance where he can make an impression. He studies her for a while. Such a perfect figure, beautiful face to match, an attitude to kill for, confidence of a winner, God definitely took a lot of extra time to make her. The best thing about her she has these innocent eyes with a very wicked smile. She could drive anyone crazy. And at the moment he was her victim...

Shiv walks and stands beside her. Her singing gets interrupted with his shadow and she sees him with the corner of her eye.
She thinks to escape from him without making any noise and as she is tip toeing towards the ballroom…

Shiv: Running away from me!, Do I scare you or do I make you go weak!
Gauri turns around and looks at him with wide eyed, shocked not because he noticed her escaping but because she wondered how he could think so high of himself!
Shiv turns around to face her slowly, grinning – feeling satisfied that he caught her red handed 😳 Gauri doesn't say anything just points her finger towards her empty glass showing she is going for a refill. Giving a smile she turns to move away, when
Shiv: Drink?, you going to get a drink to feed the fish again? You don't want them to get poisoned do you?
Gauri: No it's just that why should we humans always drink to get intoxicated, we should let the fish have some fun sometimes. (Giving a clumsy smile she turns to walk away but shiv stops her again.)
Shiv: I am making you go weak aint I?
Gauri: (Turning to look at him straight in the eye) If that makes you happy .. fine, you make me weak. Now please excuse me – I think I need to go and powder my nose.
Shiv: (Walking slowly towards her) You don't need to powder your nose. You are very much aware of the fact that you look very beautiful, (with even more husky deep throated voice) with make up or no make up.
You look stunning with your hair done up or let loose, (smelling her loose hair) and I am very sure you look absolutely mind-blowing with clothes or even without clothes! (by now he was softly whispering in her ears)
Gauri felt a chill within her. She closed her eyes for a moment and regained consciousness. She opened her eyes wide to look at shiv who was staring at her. She looked at him and smiled acting so casual that Shiv found it hard to tell if she was putting up an act or did she really not feel a thing.
Gauri: Good night Mr. …
Shiv: Shiv, Shiv Kapoor.
Gauri: Right! Good night and continue dreaming on. No taxes on dreams !
Shiv: Hey beautiful, can I at least know your name.
Gauri: (she turns around swaying her hair to a side showing off her perfect back) Patience Mr. Shiv, patience. (turns back and walks to leave)
Shiv: Listen, tomorrow there is a small party by the beach – anjuna at Baba Beach house. Can I hope to see you there.
Gauri: (Waves a hand at him without turning around) If my mood permits. Now GOOD NIGHT. (in her mind good night mr. chipku, lattoo gang member, arghhh! Why can't he just get the message!)
She walks straight to the exit waving to her friends saying she had enough.

She waits at the exit for her friends and then goes straight to the car to leave for the hotel. Their friends can't help noticing a strange grin on Gauri's face.
Friend: What happened?
Gauri: when?
Friend: Come on don't hide
Gauri: Nothing. Seriously. (Giving out a smile.)
Friend: Gauri… don't lie. We are your friends not clients!
Gauri: (giving out a laugh) Ok fine fine. Well I cant help thinking… some guys just never get the message. They just go on and on and on. Anyways never mind. No point discussing and giving them importance.
Friend: What, Gauri and actually discussing a guy…?
Gauri: Oh nothing serious guys, knock it off. So what are the plans for tomorrow?
Friend: Haven't really thought about anything. Let's see tomorrow.
Gauri: yeah I guess. Too tired to even think today.
Meanwhile Shiv noticing Gauri leaving from the party made a quick exit himself.
He was lying on his bed at the hotel.
Tossing, turning, feeling hot, feeling cold, he knew for sure he was in love.
Love at first sight.
He could not believe that he had fallen for her. She was so perfect for him. I don't mind marrying her in every life of mine.
Flashes of how they both danced, her smell, her hair, their eyes meeting, all just kept playing again and again. He could picture her svelte figure as she was standing at the deck, Oh God – now that you introduced me to her please please please let her be mine! Please. He said a silent prayer.
It was 2:30am in the morning and he was still wide awake thinking about her and feeling restless, he decides to make a call.
Shiv: Hi Mom!
Nikhila: Shiv, what's wrong – its 2:30am. Is everything ok?
Shiv: Yeah mom, I couldn't be better. Listen, I think there is something I need to say…
Nikhila: Kya hua Shiv, you are scaring me now. Is everything ok?
Shiva: I think I have found my soul mate. I think I am in love ma. Can you believe – finally I found her.
Nikhila: What? Shiv, please don't joke, what's her name, where is she from, what does she do, when are you getting her here?
Shiv: Err, ma right now all I know is that I love her and wanna marry her. The rest I guess I will know tomorrow, when we meet (if we meet – thinks to himself!)
Nikhila: Ok Shiv, I am waiting for your call. Now you go to sleep. I have to start preparing for the wedding.
Shiv: Hahahaha! Don't worry ma. Very soon. Very very soon.
He felt very relaxed after speaking to her. He just closed his eyes and dreamt about Gauri all over again. How he would woo her tomorrow and how he would dance what he would wear – which perfume, should I hold her a bit more tight tomorrow, should I kiss her, should I propose to her… OH God please let me do the right thing. I want her to be mine tomorrow no matter what!

Part Seven
Gauri, sat up in her bed sweating, she could not believe he had invaded her dreams. She decided to just chill out today.
Gauri was sitting and having breakfast with her friends when they decided to go to the spa and get some foot massage done and then later just laze around by the pool.
She couldn't help thinking about Shiv. The way he said his name – Shiv, Shiv Kapoor, hmm interesting personality. She had a smile on her face the whole day just thinking about him. Of course she was used to the way people gave her wanted/ unwanted attention but Shiv was something different. He played the game along, giving her some competition. Making her think hard about her next move. This is what was different about him. He mislead her all the time, caught her unaware, gave her small shocks.
Anyways not my cuppa tea she thought finally jumping into the pool.
Later that evening they were discussing what to do and where to hang out when one of the babes suggested they go to this beach party which is supposed to be very happening at Anjuna. Gauri immediately agreed that it would indeed be fun going for the beach party. She would meet him again – may be. She wondered why he kept playing in her mind. Anyways she said I better hurry – have to decide what to wear….
It was a long drive from Margao to Anjuna, but the weather was so beautiful that it made the drive more enjoyable. All the babes were dressed in beach outfits. Gauri wore a pink spaghetti top with blue shorts denim and a floral scarf tied around her waist as the belt. She looked pretty and sweet with minimal make up.

Once they reached there, she realized that it was a very crowded beach house. Seemed like the whole of Goa was present at the party. She quickly browsed through the crowd hoping to see Shiv. When she dint find him – she thought to herself – good riddance! At least now I can have my peace of mind.
So they went ahead dancing, singing, enjoying the music and crowd. Of course everyone were noticing Gauri - her smooth moves, her never ending long legs, the silk bronze skin, her enigmatic eyes, infectious laughter, perfect figure. She was surrounded by her girl friends and enjoying her holiday to the fullest extent. Suddenly she finds a hand catch hold of her waist and pull her aside. She quickly turns to see who it was when she saw Shiv. She smiled and simultaneously released herself from his grip.
Shiv: You look like a breath of fresh air! (she smiled trying hard not to blush and encourage him)
so were you waiting for me from long? I knew you would come. (Gauri just looked straight at him and laughed at his face)
Gauri: What makes you think that I was waiting for you! Mr. Shiv I must say you think too highly of yourself.
Shiv: I don't think you slept well last night. Dreaming about me.
Gauri: (surprised at the boldness of this chap) That's none of your concern but I want you to know that you are not my type. So just back off! (saying this she turned around as though running away from him to her friends)
Shiv: (Pulling her hand) Why do I feel that you feel what I feel and know what I feel and feel the same giving me this complete confused feeling.
Gauri: (laughing) Ok now I know for sure – YOU ARE A MAD MAN! You have a lot of weird feelings!
Shiv: (Holding her closer towards himself, pressing his male hardness towards her) Yours eyes have a hidden secret – a desire that needs to be explored.
Gauri: (Feels as if she is naked. No one had ever told her this, she felt as if she was stripped of her emotions, she felt empty in front of him. But controlling her emotions…) I think you need a doctor. (Pinches him hard so that he releases his grip on her)
Shiv: Ouch – I'd prefer you biting than pinching!
(She walks away to her friends.)
They all continue dancing like wild animals. Full on trance, techno. She was a bit high on drinks as well.
Not even for a second did Shiv's eyes leave her. She on the other hand knew this time for sure Shiv was bang on right. She was getting weak and he was making an impact on her. How true could someone read her. She needed to take a break from the dancing and drinking – she went and stood near the pool area. No one was around but she could hear the loud music and was enjoying the cool breeze kissing against her skin. On and on Shiv started coming to her thoughts. She kept on thinking of what he said. Yup he is attractive and he is definitely assaulting my thoughts, my mind, my senses, and may be my heart, but I have to take charge of the situation and control myself. She knew exactly what her future was and so she had to take control. She sat on the pool chairs and just sang to herself along with the music. She turns around to find Shiv on the chair besides her.
Shiv: Hey listen! Am just kidding! You don't have to feel conscious with me, just relax.
Gauri: Hmmm… (putting her head down - not meeting his stare)
Shiv: You know I don't even know your name.
Gauri: My names Gauri.
Shiv: Gauri – My Gauri, Shiv ki Gauri.
They have this strange moment of staring into each others eyes. For once he could see that she definitely felt something for him too.

(She could not even walk straight – may be because of the drinks and of what she must have experienced with Shiv. Looking back at Shiv)
Shiv: Ok I forgive you, but don't leave, I just wanna talk to you. I want to tell you something important, lets just sit.
Gauri: (Not able to balance herself instead of sitting she falls on him – again on his thighs)
Shiv: Awwwwww!
Gauri: (Giggling) Sorry, so sorry!
Shiv: I think I am falling in love with you, actually, I know I love you. I feel it so strong.
Gauri: You expect me to trust you – the guy who I know only from two meetings. How am I supposed to trust a guy who has a hard-on every time he sees me! (She giggles)
Shiv: (A little embarrassed) Honestly Gauri, I hvnt felt this way for anyone. I, I really don't know whats gone into me, but all I think of is you.
Gauri: (Giggles, you could make out she is a little tipsy by now) Shiv, I understand exactly what you going through coz a lot of other people told me that I kinda have this effect on them too ;)
But I will give you simple 4 reasons why you should stay away from me
1. we are complete strangers
2. Its been only two meetings
3. You think too highly of yourself
4. And lastly, like I just mentioned – you keep forcing yourself on me – you always seem to be like, what you say – Horny, yeah u are always so damn – scarily horny. (shiv smiles looking at her slurry speech)
Shiv, you kinda scare me, God knows you might even be a serial killer – Shiv the Ripper hahahahaaa!
Shiv: (slightly irritated) Gauri, I am serious – I know what I feel for you. True you must have had this effect on others but I felt this way for the first time. Gauri I need you to talk to me, I want to tell you all about me and I wanna know all about you, I want you to open up to me and tell me what you are hiding.
Gauri suddenly feels as if she is being robbed of her emotions, she realizes that if she spends more time with him she might loose herself completely to him. She slowly gets up to walk away from him..

(She starts walking away from him almost running. Shiv just sat there as time stood still for him. He knew she was his and no way would he let her go away from him. Getting hold of himself, he went searching for her and saw her taking a drink and he just nudged her and she looked at him with eyes showing her weakness. She was totally smashed!)
Gauri: Oh Shiv, Hi! (acting as if nothing happened) I needed to powder my nose so…
Shiv: (Rolls his eyes up thinking same old excuse) Like I told you yesterday. You don't need to powder your nose. You look very beautiful, with make up or no make up, with your hair done up or let loose, with clothes or without clothes! And, and you don't need to lie to me!
Gauri: (She gives out a loud laugh.)
Mr. Shiv Kapoor, hmm… what do I say. You really should stop dreaming. And about the part of me looking good without any clothes, well yes I do but, but but but… (placing her finger on his lips) please don't even dream about it coz you will never get the opportunity to see me that way (slowly moving her finger from his lips to his heart) in this life or any other life of yours! (moving her finger in circles, she was really loud!)
You know what, I thought you were different, but you are like any other guy – just wanting to bed me. (she was falling over him)
I don't think I wanna be with you anymore, sweet heart. (holding his shoulder) You are like any other low life that I've met all my life. Just get away from me… (and saying this she just falls flat on him.)
Next morning she wakes up and finds herself naked in bed with Shiv….

Part Eleven
Next morning she wakes up and finds herself naked in bed with Shiv almost on top of her and yeah naked as well.
She closes her eyes again just to confirm she isn't dreaming and no she isn't. She was actually lying in a bed naked with Shiv besides her (almost on top of her). She felt her head heavy. She felt the room spinning round. She wanted to scream and cry and just kill some body. How could She – Gauri Chatterjee have given into this creep lying next to her so easily. She just grabbed the sheet covering herself leaving Shiv completely exposed on the bed. She walked into the bathroom ran the cold shower and just stood below it. She was shocked.
She dint know how she could give into someone on the second meeting. She tried to think about the events that happened last night and all she could remember was Shiv grabbing her and forcing himself on her at every opportunity. She could not even have imagined that Shiv could stoop so low as to take advantage of her and, and.. she dint even wanna think about it.
She was crying and she couldn't control herself. She felt cheated and betrayed and hurt. She wanted to scream and she prayed to God that this should be some kind of a nightmare and she prayed she would wake up.
Flashes of what must have happened between them ran in her mind making her feel more remorse and more hurt. She stood there scrubbing herself and washing herself a million times, she threw up with disgust, she was robbed of her prestige. She was a wounded warrior. She realized all the while Shiv played simply to get her to bed.
After a while she decided she would not break down so easily and let him have the pleasure of seeing her like this. She walked out and searched through the room for her clothes – placed them in a bag and wore Shiv's tracks and t shirt and stood there staring at him sleep, he had an angelic smile on his face. She couldn't believe he could be such a monster. She felt he was mocking her over her defeat. She wanted to kill him. Then she thought that would be an easy death for him. Instead she turned around and walked to the bathroom filled a tumbler full of cold tap water and came and splashed it on his face.
Shiv: What the h*&l! (Opening his eyes and closing his fist, he stops noticing Gauri stand beside him) He garbs the pillow and covers himself.
Good morning – but this is no way to wake up a guy who just..
Gauri: Just, who just what! Save your crap Mr. Shiv Kapoor for some other babe and listen to me for once and for all..
I am not some one night stand like the other babes that you dated previously and neither am I some slut wanting to get paid for the torture that you must have put me through last night. When I told you that I was not interested I meant every word of it.
I thought you to be different but you turned out to be worse than anyone I have ever known in my life. When a babe says no it means NO. Which part of my no did you not understand. (Her voice was trembling but she had no tears in her eyes)

(She turns to walk out from there when shiv grabs her hand from the back, she turns around and gives him a tight slap)
Gauri: Don't, Don't you dare ever try to touch me. Whatever happened, happened. Don't think I will take this shit from you any longer.
She runs out of the hotel and enters the lift and tears roll down her face. She feels betrayed and lost, and hurt. But she pulls herself together and says BE STRONG GAURI – BE STRONG – THIS IS NOT THE END OF THE WORLD. She walks out of the hotel and throws her bag of clothes straight into the trash and takes a cab back to her hotel.
Shiv just stands in the room, wondering what just happened. What he could have possibly done wrong. He knew she wanted him as much as he wanted her. But why dint she even give him a chance to speak. Why dint he stop and explain things, what could he do to change her feelings and make her realize he loves her.
Flashes of the times they spent together start playing in his mind again and again and again and he just holds his head and screams GAURI.. and kneels down and starts crying and howling for Gauri…

Part Twelve
Shiv and Gauri have gone their separate ways… Its been a year now since they last met. His life has changed completely, He is not the same old Shiv (no he hasn't changed from Iqbal to Yash but as a person he has changed! Ok Sick Joke. Sorry!)
Shiv walks into the house and throws the car keys on the table and sits down next to his mom. Browses through the channels. He looks tired and less interested in anything. He works late and keeps to himself. There's something eating him up. Being a mother she could not see her only child like this. She took hold of the remote and switched off the TV.
Nikhila: Lets have dinner – I have to take my medication as well after dinner so lets not delay further.
Ramu, khana laga do
Shiv: Mom I have told you a million times don't wait up for me for dinner. I have a lot of work and you know when I am working I have no account of time..
Nikhila: (cutting him short) If that's the case then why don't you get someone to worry about you and wait up for you when you are late aur saath mein agar time mile then let her worry about me also!
Nikhila waiting for his response stares from the corner of her eyes. He just walks off to his room, freshens up and comes back to have dinner.
Shiv serves himself dinner at the table and sits quietly besides her.
Nikhila: I know its been a year since you met with that girl but Shiv for how long will you just cry over her. Why cant you just forget her and move on with life.
Shiv: Mom please I don't wanna talk about her. (Pushing his plate to the side)
Nikhila: Fine (pushing his plate back to him) Then find me someone else to blame for all what has happened to my son!
Shiv: Mom please, she dint do anything.
Nikhila: Shiv, you haven't even told me what happened and I will not even ask you but if you feel I can help you in anyway – then please, please let me know, I am your mother Shiv and I also want to see my son settle down and be happy. I want to see my son normal like he was before, happy, joking, smiling, always upto something. Where has my Shiv gone? (She covers her face to hide her tears)
Shiv: (Gets up and hugs her from behind) Mom I am sorry, I know I have been ignoring you and myself and I have been on my own but mom its not that I dint try. (getting emotional) I tried so hard to forget her, I cried, and cried for months and thought may be now my tears will dry, true my tears dried but the pain is still there. Mom I was in love with her and may be I still am and will always remain. What all I dint do to forget her.
I even randomly dated some girls but I just could not get her out of my mind. I feel I owe her an apology. I feel that she was the one for me. We were meant to be mom. You see me hurt but trust me mom I feel like I am dying a million deaths. I wish things could be different, I miss her mom. (A teardrop falls on Nikhila and she gets up and hugs him)
Nikhila: Sorry Shiv, I know you were hurt but I had not imagined the intensity of your pain. You take how much ever time you need and I will wait – I promise.
Shiv: I need another promise maa, I want you to take your medication on time – please don't wait up for me. Please.
Nikhila: I am your mother beta. Just because I got emotional that does not mean I will give into all your whims, don't push your luck beta.(Saying this she gently pats his cheek)
Both smile and hug again and continue eating.
Next morning Shiv wakes up and walks his way to the breakfast table whistling. Nikhila is surprised but she is happy to see him this way. He sits for breakfast and she serves him.
Shiv: Wow, Cheese Omlette & energy toast! Great!
Nikhila: you'll have juice of tea?
Shiv: Tea will do ma!
Nikhila: Seems like you had good sleep last night,

Nikhila: And what is it that you decided
Shiv: True I need time to forget her but I know I have to move on with life as you said. So as a start I give you full permission to go and find a bahu of your own choice. But ultimately I will decide but at least this will be a start.
I tried from my side to forget her – May be you will be able to find someone better than her. (He looks up to see her smile at him)
Nikhila: Thank God! (folding her hands and thanking God) Shiv you don't know how happy you have made me. I promise, I will bring the best for my son. And don't worry – the final decision will be yours. I will not force you at all.
Shiv: Great! So that settles that for now. Arnt you eating anything for breakfast?
Nikhila: Arrey what breakfast today I don't want to eat anything. My heart and stomach both are full.
Shiv: Maa please, no emotional dialogues, Eat and eat well, Chal I have to leave for work. So see you in the evening.
Nikhila immediately calls Sarla her friend and tells her what Shiv just announced. Sarla tells her about a proposal – no parents, but staying with her bhaiya bhabhi. Well educated and pretty looking. Nikhila immediately tells her to arrange a meeting for today itself in the evening. She thanks God and immediately calls Shiv.
Nikhila: Shiv, what are you doing this evening after office.
Shiv: Nothing special, Why?
Nikhila: That Sarla Aunty naa, she is eating my head. She is after me with one proposal. And since you said that you don't have any problem I said ok we will come, but if you still have your doubts then I will call her right now and cancel. She is also like one cracked bouncing ball, keeps playing the same rotten game without moving ay further. But I will tell her..
Shiv: (Understands her plans and interrupts) Mom, mom its ok, we will go. Or else this Sarla Aunty will not leave you – so we will go and see the people.
Nikhila: Well, Sarla will not be coming but she knows them very well and even I have met with them on a few occasions and they seem to be nice people. So we will be going on our own – without her. Its ok naa beta?
Shiv: Yeah mom, anything you want! As you wish.
Nikhila: So we are going right?
Shiv: Yeah mom we are going.
Nikhila: So what time will you be here? Which suit should I keep ready?
Shiv: Mom, I will be home once I finish my work and I will wear what ever I am comfortable in. So please relax.
Nikhila: Yes yes, ok I will wait for you, but you come early. Bye.
Nikhila, could not contain her excitement, she got ready a bit too early and decided to wait for Shiv. As Shiv entered she acted calm and cool but of course her excitement was so obvious when she gave him tea with salt. But eventually they left for the venue.
The car stopped and Shiv got out and so did Nikhila.
Shiv was wearing blue jeans and a white shirt, very casual. Nikhila was decked up almost like a Christmas tree!
They rang the bell and were greeted by a house boy and he screamed, Saab mehmaan aa gaye. They saw a tall fair man walk towards them.
Shashank: Namaste, I am Shashank Bose. Welcome, Welcome.
Shiv: (shaking hands) Shiv Kapoor and my mother.
Shash: Haan, I know Nikhila Aunty, we have met on and off. Namaste aunty. Come in come in.
Shiv: Thanx
Shash: Hello (screaming to call out for the rest!) They have come
(Small girl runs towards them)
Shanti: Papa
Shash: Comer here my bachcha. Here say hello to uncle, aunty.
Shanti: Hello uncle, hello aunty.
Nikhila: Very sweet girl.
Shiv: Hello angel.
Shanti: (Opening her sparkling eyes even wider along with her mouth) Mummy also calls me that
Shash: where is mummy and bua.
Shanti: There they are (She points out towards the stairs)
Shiv turns around to look up and sees no one and looks back at Shanti and Shanti shows him tongue teasing him and giggles to herself and Shashank and Nikhila all start laughing. Shiv wonders if she is like this then how naughty the other ladies must be. Better be aware of them.
Shash: Naughty Girl, no masti now. Achcha tell uncle something about yourself.
Shanti: My name is Shanti Shashank Bose, I am 3 years old, my best friends name is Arti and I like to eat chocolate – fruit and nut, my favorite hero is Abhishek Bachchan and my favorite heroine is Mummy.
Shiv: Oh! So your mummy is an actress?
Shanti: No but she is the most beautiful in the whole world, and then me! (blinking her twinkling eyes with a smile)

Shiv and Shashank are busy talking when a lady suddenly comes in and says, Namaste Aunty. Shiv looks up to see Gauri.
Nikhila: Hello beta
Shiv looks at her and is surprised. Stands up to almost hug her when Gauri immediately puts her hand forward
Gauri: Hi, (Shiv realizes what he was about to do and controls himself and gives his hand forward.) Am Gauri Shashank Bose.
Nikhila: Gauri – this is Shiv – Shiv Kapoor my son.
Shiv is shocked. He looks at her and sees the mangal sutra and then sees Shanti running to her.
Gauri realizes whats playing in Shiv's mind so she quickly turns to Shanti, distracting hers and everyone else's attention to Shanti.
Gauri: Come my angel, sit on mamma's lap.
Shanti: Mummy, Uncle also called me angel.
Gauri: (Looks at Shiv, and then smiles at Shanti) That's because you are an angel, our little angel.
Shiv doesn't say a word as he cannot understand what was happening.
He wasn't sure if this was a dream or his past was a dream.
He dint know if this was his Gauri or may be his hallucination
He was confused wondering if she was the same Gauri and suffered with some kind of personality disorder or whether he was the one actually having some mental disorder. He was surely going mad if he wasn't already!
He was staring at Gauri, and Gauri was feeling very uncomfortable and conscious. She knew he had this effect on her before and things haven't exactly changed. She was scared and nervous. She remembered all that happened and was wary of his crazy tactics and was scared may be he would put up another of his weird act.
Shiv noticed she was the same Gauri yet a completely different person. The confidence she had was replaced by timidity. She was coy, shy and nervous. Her bold character was no where visible. She was wearing a yellow saree. She still looked beautiful, just like she did a year back – she had lost a little weight but her assets were indeed in tact. All he wanted to do was walk upto her and hold her and cry for the time loss of one whole year which he spent just dreaming, thinking and wishing for her.
Shash: (breaking the silence) Wonder whats taking Kaya so long. I will go and check. Come beta. (Takes Shanti along)
Nikhila: Wait Shashank, even I will come – after all I would also like to see how my bahu is looking.
Hearing this Shiv nudges her and gives her an angry look. Nikhila realizes what she just said and looks down as if she said nothing.
Gauri and Shiv are alone in the hall now. Its like time stood still for them. He stares at her and she stares at her sandals, getting edgy like a new bride on her first night. Feeling awkward, she decides to excuse herself.
Gauri: I will arrange for some refreshments and come
Shiv: Gauri! (She stops, facing her back to him. He gets up and slowly walks up to her and whispers in her ears) Running away from me! Do I scare you or do I make you go weak!
Gauri Shudders hearing his voice. Feels a current within her. She turns around and stares at him and remembers history repeating. The same words, the touch, the kiss, the bed, the naked bodies. Anger takes over her and she turns away angrily and walks towards the kitchen. Shiv races her and blocks her way to the entrance.
Gauri: What the hell you think you are doing.
Shiv: (With a cocky smile) I still make you weak don't i?
Listen Gauri, (holds her shoulders really tight) what I am doing right now is not even a fraction of what I actually want to do!
(she tries to push him and releases herself, he quickly grasps her wrist. Her bangle breaks giving her hand a cut. She starts bleeding but Shiv doesn't notice her wrist – he is staring at her with rage.)
Gauri: Shiv please leave me – someone will see!
Shiv: fine I will, but first you promise me you will meet me tomorrow.
Gauri: No, I will not, there is no reason for us to meet so please leave my hand, you are hurting me Shiv. (Shiv leaves her hand and hold her face in a tight grip forcing her mouth to open)
Shiv: Oh yes Gauri, you will meet me because if you don't meet me then I will tell everyone what happened between us in the hotel (saying this he forces his mouth on hers and smooches her passionately. Gauri struggles to free herself from him, finally Shiv pushes her away from him)
Shiv: And that my Gauri was just a reminder of what all happened that night! Anyways, 10:00am tomorrow Hotel Highway.
(winks at her and walks back to the sofa while Gauri just stares at him in disgust. He turns back and giving her a peering look says, "I don't like waiting so be there on time."
Gauri: No shiv I will not.. (Shashank, Shanti, Nikhila and Kaya are all coming down)

Chapter Fifteen
Shash: Arrey Gauri, you dint offer Shiv anything
Gauri: ahem, Err (with a sorry smile) I thought may be Kaaya would ask his preference and get him something.
They all come and sit on the sofa and Kaaya sits next to Shiv. She is wearing a light pink saree and looks very pretty but Shiv has his eyes fixed on Gauri. Shashank suddenly notices Gauri's hand bleeding.
Shash: gauri, what happened to your hand?
Gauri: Oh that – nothing I was just walking into the kitchen and I banged my hand onto the wall. Its nothing.
Shash: What nothing. Raghu, zara first aid box laana.
Raghu gets the first aid kit and Shash does the cleaning and the dressing himself, blowing on her hands to ease the pain. She notices Shiv clasp his fists and burning in jealousy.
Gauri: Shashank (pulling her hand back) its ok nothing happened, I will get some refreshments. Nikhila Aunty will you come with me – we could all leave them alone for sometime to get acquainted.
Shash: Wait, let me finish the dressing and no need to do anything. Raghu will prepare the refreshments and we will hang out in the garden – kyon Shanti (carrying her in his arms)
Shanti: Yeah!
Nikhila: (Smiles with admiration) I hope God always keeps your house blessed like this!
Shash: As long as we are all together yes, nothing can happen, right Gauri (holding and patting her shoulders)
Gauri: (Releasing herself) Now chalo lets leave them alone!
Shiv looks at her thinking to himself – I have to teach her a lesson, I don't understand how she can do this to me and not feel anything herself. Tomorrow our account will be settled.
The whole meeting goes off well. Shiv and Nikhila are driving back to their house, when Shiv listens to the same song that played when he and Gauri first met (Shania Twains – From this moment) He can't help but think of those moments and the times that he suffered without her. Nikhila sees a tear rolling down his cheek
Nikhila: Please Shiv, you have to get over her Shiv.
Shiv just turns off the radio and says yeah mom don't worry, I will be fine, I will be fine soon.
Thinks to himself – tomorrow I will know exactly if I will be fine or loose myself forever. Gauri, you will have to pay for each and every single tear that I have shed for you. He accelerates and hurries home with a wicked smile!
At night he cannot sleep as he keeps thinking of the way Shashank was dressing her hand and starts imagining how Shash and Gauri must be sleeping in each others arms. He gets up in fury and calls the Bose residence. Gauri picks up the phone on the 4th ring.
Gauri: In a sleepy voice, Hello!
Shiv: Doesn't say anything. Just breathes heavily on the phone.
Gauri: Hello! HELLO!
Shiv continues to breathe heavily
Gauri: What do you want from me! WHAT DO YOU WANT???
Shiv: I WANT YOU GAURI. I WANT YOU…

Chapter Sixteen
Shiv: I WANT YOU GAURI. I WANT YOU…
TOMORROW 10:00 – I WILL BE WAITING. AND IF YOU DON'T SHOW UP – YOU KNOW WHAT I AM CAPABLE OF DOING? (saying this he hangs up. A teary eyed Gauri, just stares at the phone thinking – her worst nightmare was back.)
Now that she spoke to him she does not get any sleep and wonders what might happen tomorrow. She keeps recalling how he kissed her this evening. She thinks to herself – he still has the same effect on me like he did then. God please, please help me – I don't want to become weak again. I lost a lot the last time; please make me stronger this time.
On the other hand, Shiv after speaking to her – as if he transferred all his stress to her gets peaceful sleep of course with dreams of his Gauri.
The next day he is waiting at the restaurant – dressed in a black shirt and blue jeans. He has already had two cups of tea and is almost going to order the third one, when he sees her entering.
She is wearing a white spaghetti salwaar chooridaar and her dupatta is flowing along with her hair. She has worn minimal make up and her eyes look angry. All heads turn to look at her listening to the rhythm of her bangles and her jhumkaas. Ignoring all the glares she walks straight to Shiv's table. Shiv had made sure that the table is only for two and had pulled her chair closer towards his. She pulls the chair to the opposite side and sits, placing her purse on the side. She notices that Shiv is still staring at her and so she coughs up *Ahem Ahem* and pulls her dupatta down to cover her cleavage which had apparently distracted Shiv's attention.
Gauri: Shiv. HELLO (moving her hands in front of him) Can we just finish this off fast!
Shiv: Sorry, you look absolutely stunning Sweetheart.
(She takes the purse and places it in between both of them covering herself except her face)
Shiv: OK, ok (Smiling) let me begin first.
Gauri: Listen Shiv, I have no idea why you called me here but please make it quick I have to go and pick Shanti from the play school by 12.
Shiv: Fine! The reason I called you here is because I wanted to tell you how much I love you and how much I still lust for you. (Saying this he winks at her)
She gets up to leave.
Shiv: Listen sorry, sorry I was just joking.
Gauri: Shiv I don't have time to joke around. Just come to the point.
Shiv: OK – Sorry.
The reason I called you here is to clear some misunderstanding between us. (Staring into her eyes making her conscious)
Gauri: (Looking down and playing with her purse) Go on!
Shiv: About the other night when we were at the beach party
Gauri: (Stares at him with anger) Please Shiv, I am not here to listen to all the gory details. Shiv: Gauri, please (takes her purse and places it down) just let me finish.
Gauri: Sorry!
Shiv: So.. like I was saying the other night, I know you don't remember anything and that's what I am here to remind you or rather tell you honestly what had happened that night.
(FLASH BACK)
Gauri falls flat on his chest completely drunk.
Shiv: Gauri, Gauri wake up.
Gauri: Shiv please leave me alone (pushing him away she walks out towards the pool again assuming that's the exit)
Shiv: Listen – where are your friends? The exit is this way. (pointing towards the exit)
She walks straight heading towards the pool
Shiv: You are completely drunk Gauri. Gauri, Gauri wait up and he hears a loud *SPLASH*
(Before he could catch up with her she had walked straight into the pool)
Shiv jumps in too and gets her out and she was still unconscious, wet and cold as well. So he drives her to his hotel. He has to change her into dry clothes as she is still drenched so he undresses her and covers her with a blanket, but she is still cold and so he has no other option but to lie next to her to give her more warmth and bring her temperature to normal.
The next morning all he remembers is her slap.

Gauri: (looks up at Shiv teary eyed) So that night… nothing happened between us?...
