When we were small, we were always told in hushed tones that evil exists; an outward evil and a personal evil around us.
Our personal battle is with the personal evil ; the one that persuades us against doing something nice at times, encouraging bad behaviour, rudeness, rebellion, etc. We are taught that by prayer and an innate insight into self accountability and faith, we can reduce and suppress that inner evil.
The outward evil exists, but must not be courted, say the religious teachers. The only way to prevent yourself from being a victim of such practices is to strengthen your faith and belief that Allah will keep evil away from you.

Today evil is shown as arrogant, and blustering, overconfident. Sanam2 tries to put a spell on Sanam using a strand of her hair. But Aahil has arranged for Qur'an kaani in the house so her magic is nullified.
<Props for the actual reading of verses from the Qur'an, they even chose the correct verses that are deemed protective against evil. Not bad. Someone did their research there... >
but the evil is still arrogant and unrepentant. Apparently tortured by the sound of holy verses, she is temporarily weakened, but escapes by putting on earphones and music...?

<So easily thwarted ?? These are holy verses, (personal opinion aside) some use it to exorcise jinns ! I really dislike the way the holy verses recitation was thwarted so easily. To me reading the Qur'an is by leaps more powerful than chadars and Babas. I really dislike when QH tries to be religious, they really don't know what they're doing. They don't realize that their depiction of Islam is very myopic and window dressing>
I would have expected Sanam2 to be forced out of the house because she couldn't breathe! Not nullified by earphones!
*grumble*
<Tip for writers. (KV's personal religious beliefs aside,) Aahil can be seen just visually reading the Qur'an, not actually aloud. That sight would've been FAR more powerful to prevent Sanam2s magic in the house. Just calling the Ustaz and children to read doesn't make Aahil look any better. in fact just him reading ALONE would've sufficed ! >
*Rant over*
That annoying peeve aside, I was piqued by Aahil's reaction to Jannat's lecture today. She told him off for just standing there and watching while she was in trouble. She belittled him for outwardly braying about his love for Sanam, but when it came to actions he fails.
What was THAT? Was she intimating that if he thought she was Sanam, he failed in saving her? That she thought he was a good man, a good friend (?!!) who would do anything for others, and she was wrong.
All tamasha. For appearances.
She even goes on forther to say she regrets wishing for him to get Sanam back. But she was wrong. His love for Sanam is not true, its stubborn.Apparently Sanam left and his stubborn-ness is just to have her back.
"Kitne bewakoof tha mein..." she says...
AND HE NODS !!
(ROFL!!!)
And he didn't deserve her, apparently.

<After he rescued her from tribespeople, a lecher who assaulted her, saved her from showing all of her back to all and sundry; this is how she thanks him? Ugh..I'm beginning to think Aahil should tell Shaad to keep her >
"If I am stubborn about having Sanam, not true love. What is Shaad then to you? Please, I'm not interested in your answer... I don't need to hear it. You can bluff everyone, but not Allah. Ask your heart, who is the love of your life? If you ask hard enough, Allah will show it to you..."

Jannat is speechless for a moment, but stubbornness rears back, God is in my heart, and I know what's in it. I have always loved my husband and I will always love him.
<Goodness, how it must feel to hear your wife tell you she loves you so much and be angry about it too? Sanam is saying she loves her husband (Aahil), and trying to prove to Aahil that her husband is Shaad...>

If Aahil will turn away from Jannat now. The moment Aahil turns away from her, Sanam2s magic tricks will stop. Win- Win ! Jannat gets her wonderful Shaad, Sanam2 gets to be Begum, Shaad gets his "Sacchi Mohabbat", and Aahil gets his groove back.
Because he has lost it BAD.
What if he decides to turn tables on Sanam2. Work it out with her, stun her with a second chance for her. Watch the Sanam in Jannat rise out in all fieriness.
Hahahaa... I dare you !
p/s : really tired of Jannat's lectures. Did she forget Aahil is paying for her wedding? Ingrate.
Oh yeah, elsewhere, Nazia is slowly turning into a hapless pawn on SK's chessboard. Is she going to turn the sister against the brother?
