well di main concept was a orphan girl suman staying with her best friend kanchan at hostel...kanchan belong to a rich and big joint family...she had two brothers...karthik the elder and karan younger...kanchan's mother once visited kanchan and was impressed with suman's qualities...she was hurt with her bitter reality of being orphan and she promised her that she will make her marry her son..

neither ragini nor sanskar can be compared to karan
