Because this iss a daily soap and now they should show the main lead in more pain..so for that they have to kill the shiv..

I mean in this sadness of loosing sid roshni will be shocked to know that her father shiv is dead...

And even DD should face all this.

Then itself it will be shown how the jamai will handle this situation..if shiv is there he the jamai of Nani will take care of roshni and he will b hero in this by revealing the madness of misha...but the revelation should be done by leads only especially our sid as he is jamai so I think shiv will die..
