Part 4

With lots of drama and request, Kali finally convinced her babasa to go to the palace. And with assuring of kalpi's safety from Raghav vitthal agreed for her help to Raghav and group. It was not less than another surprise for villagers that vitthal send his daughter to the haunted palace with some strangers. And it got them the chance of gossiping about Kalpi and vitthal. But he ignored them overall... coz he start trusting this city man than villagers.

Their jeep ran in the sand of desert...and stopped at the footing of the heel. They started walking toward the entrance of palace was full of covered with the thorny bushes with very small pathway. Sammy and Maya stepped front while Kalpi followed them smiling on their teasy and naughty fight, when bough of thorn was held about to hit Kalpi...Raghav came between them and caught the bough. It scratches his hand little, Kalpi take his hand immediately in hers and strokes by her thumb gently. Raghav lost in her touch...as it was not first time he was touched by a woman...but her touch felt him feathery...with love and affection for him. "Thank y..." She was going to say but lost herself in his chocolate brown eyes...which was beholding her with intimacy.

"Hey guys...what are you doing there?" Sammy shouted from the top of the hill...which brought them again in reality. Kalpi left his hand hurriedly and moved toward others.

They entered in the black stone palace with a huge wooden door

...which still carried its beauty after 300 hundred years. The wall, floor was covered with dust, bushes...but the path toward the palace was very much cleaned. "Surprising...if no one come here then how this path is cleared. In such kind of haunted palace covered with reptiles and insects...but here not single rat look..." Raghav whispered silently not wanted to hear by anyone observing the surrounding.

"Wow...what a haunted house... Bhairavi I am cominggg..." Sammy shouted with mischievous grin in his voice...and started to run in slow motion dramatical way.

"Here nautanki starts..." Maya said nodding her head unbelievably looking his antics.

"What...she is waiting for me from 100 years...darling" Sammy answered with innocent face.

"Oh...really, then what I am doing here...go to your bhairavi..." Maya pouted and turned to go back, While Raghav and Kalpi tried to hide their laughter seeing their fight.

"No...please don't leave me...I will die without you my Maya...then I also have to jump from that steeple in your memory... Please pardon my life my love..." He pleaded her kneeling in front of her. She gave him disgusted look.

"If you do any more drama...then I swear Sammy I myself throw you from that steeple" she exploded.

"Thank you thank you my love... How can I look toward other girl when my own girlfriend is so beautiful..." He whispered hugging her at side. "Sorry princess for my lie" he said slowly moving his head at another direction.

"What...Sammy I kill you..." And she ran behind him to beat him. Raghav and Kalpi laughed loudly and followed them without noticing that someone eyeing on their every move.

They walked on every corner of palace...memorizing the beauty of the old and exclusive art of ancient Rajasthan. The tower was decorated with the stencil of culture. The walls were craved with the minor work of stories. The whole palace bwas not less than the frieze of monarchy. Raghav got to much beautiful sight for his documentary.

They slowly forged ahead when Sammy's eyes felled on the portrait.. "Kalpi...who is this girl?" He asked her and something clicked in his mind, "princess..." Kalpi nodded her head affirmatively. "Oh...ho...the prince was duffer...that allowed this beauty to die. If I was there...I was ran away taking her with me..." He was so lost that did notice Maya was standing behind him. He gritted his teeth skittishly looking her behind... "No maya...I am just thinking about prince" but she turned fumingly from there... "Maya listen... I am sorry janu... Look you not forgive me... I will jump from here to devote my soul to you...like princess..." But she not turned. He was trying to climb the wall but

"Come baisa...I will show you steeple..." Kalpi dragged Maya toward the steeple leaving Sammy hanging in between.

"Hey wait... I am coming" and ran behind them.

"Aww...this view is so beautiful..." Maya explained, the whole desert was seen from there openly. The two towers was connected by the steeple by the covered pathway. The king was look after on his reign from there. The pillers was made by the acute hook...which still looked shined.That was the one of beautiful example of ancient times architecture work.

"Look baisa...from there Jaywant watched the princess" Kalpi spotted the place near a huge rock at other side. Her eyes sparkled with excitement showing the place to Maya...her face look more ethereal in golden reflected rays of sun, Raghav who was busy in clicking the pictures of view suddenly catches her glimpse in his camera.

"Beautiful..." The only word left from his lips. Sammy moved forward to see the place, when...

"Ohhuuu... It's so abyss..." They astonished looking the deep of heep. "Sammy it's perfect for you to jump" Maya snapped.

"Raghav you are lucky yaar...as you don't believe in love... Otherwise your condition was also just me" Sammy whispered sadly. Kalpi's heart lumped with his words...as Raghav really not believe in love. She lowered her lashes deplorably...when Raghav noticed her misery.

At the evening... Raghav Sammy and Maya spend their time at Kalpi's home...with their chitchat with vitthal and try to gain the knowledge of village life and palace... While Maya helped Kalpi in her kitchen. They started to share a bond which was unliked by someone.

Next day they all were roaming around the open terrace, where Sammy again following Maya for forgiveness of his misbehaviour...while Kalpi was busy is showing Raghav some hazy spot looking from the palace...when misty Storm of desert came. Kalpi signaled Maya Sammy to hide...while she dragged Raghav to the near wall and hide her and him by covering her chunari over their heads. She was busy in adjusting chunari on the overflow of air and he was in her care...which she showing to a stranger without any intention.she terribly try to not leave the grip of her chunari but it weakened by air when he hold her hand by his and other on her back to keep her near him but without moving his gaze. The another Storm thundered in her chest speedily with his touch. They was just few inches apart from each other...his eyes fell on her shivered lips which lumping because of his proximity. They lost in each other in such way...the Storm stopped...but they didn't notice it.

"Don't talk to me..." Maya fumed loudly on Sammy...and her voice broke their spail. They distanced themselves from each other and moved toward their way back to home leaving someone in back who clenching his fist tightly made the blood flow from his hand.

That night was sleepless for Raghav and Kalpi with their new unspoken desirable thoughts...but which had no meaning in their lives. He was a stranger for her who came for his work in the village and maybe left in few days...while she may be somebody's wife...as this villagers married their daughter in very young age...he never been showed any right toward her. Their thoughts were useless... As they are the two edges of river which tried to meet each other lot...but their way never meet at end too. Jerking the born feelings, they charged themselves in the slumber.

The next day was very surpring to them...as all village was decorated in beautiful flowers, paintings and rangoli in front of door. The Mahakali temple also decorated lavishly for some occasion.

"Why this much excitement feel in air kaka...is that something today?" Maya asked curiously.

"Yes madam...today is our Mahakali mata's pooja in the temple this is the grand celebration of our family continuing from the centuries...and we would like if you also come in pooja...after all where you get to see this monarchy festival" sarapanch said in between with a vicious smrink on his face ...make vitthal moved behind lowering his head. Raghav not even looked at him which increased the sarpanch's anger some little.

"Of course... It is our pleasure to join you in festival... Thank you sir" Sammy again jumped in between to handle situation.

"Kaka where is Kalpi? We will enjoy all celebration together..."Maya asked excitedly.

" Kalpi...why she enjoy?...she is not allowed in this pooja...if you want any help I will say to my daughter in law to help you " sarapanch said rudely and left from there at someone's call for him...Raghav Maya and Sammy watched him surprisingly and then vitthal who standing there quietly.

"Kaka...what did he mean Kalpi not allowed for pooja?" Raghav returned impatiently.

"A widow never allowed in this kind of pooja ceremony in our culture...hukum" He mumbled in low tone.

"Widow..." Raghav's mind stopped thinking with his sentence. His eyes felt on Kalpi who feeding grass to her cows with a pleasent smile on her face. His heart curdled to see her that colorless clothes which he first time noticed after four days. A drop of tear come on its boundary but stopped there...as man never allow to cry.

"We married her when she was three...but destiny not wanted to see my daughter happy... After three years her bin( husband) died with a mere decease. Her mother not held this jolt...and she also left us...from then my child suffering her life... I scares what happens when I too leave her...some sultry eyes watched my daughter evilly...want to keep my Kalpi as their..." Tears felled from his thinking on the cruel thought of some bast****d, "and that night...thank god you was there otherwise...I don't understand where I keep my daughter safely...palace ghost killed every girl...but I will happy if she kill my Kalpi too...but...she never do..." Raghav maya and sammy only looked him sympathetically, He wiped his tears "what I told you...you are my guest and I narrated you my sad story...please join us... You will get lots of fun here...I just see you later..." With unshield his tears...vitthal walked toward the temple leaving the dumbstruck Sammy Maya and disheartened Raghav.

That time Sammy understood the meaning of her words that palace ghost never harm her...coz there was nothing to jealous for princess about Kalpi...she also a miserable and poor soul like her.

In all pooja hours they only missed Kalpi...day ended festival also ended...but her face not left Raghav once. He was connected with her by heart...don't know...but by pain definitely.

Lovely update. I'm liking the interaction between all four and their bonding they have formed in a short time. Sammy is funny and a free spirit who loves teasing Maya. They are really cute and so is Maya and Kalpi' bonding. Raghav and Kalpi are getting attracted to each other but are hesitant to say anything. and now he finds out that Kalpi is a widow 😲. Who was following them when they were in he haunted palace? Mystery is intriguing. This is getting interesting. Waiting on the next chapter!
