The sun rays peeked through the curtain and entered her eyes. she wrapped herself with a quilt and snuggled her white cutie pie aka her teddy .she heard her mother, who is yelling at her to get up as it is already past 7. Thats when it hit her that she is sleeping cozily till now without thinking of the test that is awaiting her.

Rushing from her bed , she straight away went to the bathroom which is situated just opposite to her dressing table.

She came after fifteen minutes from the bathroom and went downstairs to be greeted by her dear mother and her lovely father. She sat on the dining table and started having her breakfast without talking much, and this shocks her parents. why wouldn't they be surprised? The girl who is known as a chatter box by her parents is keeping quite because of some unknown reason.

Her mother motioned her father through a gesture that was understood by him .he looked at his daughter who is quietly having her toast.

"Beta,is there any exam today?"

She seemed to be not listening to what her father was saying.

Her amma shook her shoulders ,jerking her from the dream she was thinking.

"haan papa, what were you saying?"

"beta,do you have any exam?"

"yeah papa...err... I have mathematics today"

" good luck for your exam beta...may alah be there with to you"

"thanks papa...I am getting late ,bye"

"bye amma...take care"

Saying this , she went towards the gate ,wore her shoes and fled away like a jet plane. she was overly pampered by her parents and relatives as she is the only girl child in their family. The gene was spread throughout their family as all the young generation of their family are boys except her so, all showered their love towards her.

But she knows her limits and she won't cross it either and that makes her a good girl with moral values. she strode towards the classroom and she saw her friends chatting. She then saw that the teacher was looking at her and smiling. she was shocked to her wits...as her strict grumpy class teacher was smiling at her.

Soon the exam started and all the students were given the question paper and the answer sheets. all were writing the exam ,suddenly she felt dizzy and fainted. after few minutes she felt someone was sprinkling water on her. she can't fully open her eyes but she managed to open and saw that the whole freaking class was staring at her.

She got up immediately and drank the water given by the teacher. her back was paining like hell as she hit her back hard when she fainted. She whined in pain , the teacher helped her to stand up and gave the class, A STERN LOOK and all got back to writing. Kushi also started writing. though her head and back was paining she wrote her exam...reason one being ,she took extra efforts to learn for this examination and reason two being, she really want to write this exam as she had a bet with one of her friends that she will get first rank this time and they simply laughed at her and she thought to prove them who she is.

She finished writing and gave the paper to the invigilator and rushed to home as she was again feeling dizzy. she rang the door bell and her mother opened the door and was completely surprised to see her early. she stepped inside the hall and sat on the sofa. She took a tablet and gulped it, her mother watched her with concern and asked have you again fell ill?'.

She sheepishly looked at her mother and nodded her head like a baby being caught when it tries to steal a candy.

"yummy...mmm"

"where did you get this ice cream papa...its tasting very good".

She remembered the time when she was eating ice-cream which was bought by her father. She hung down her head down, guiltily.

She went back to her room and slept for hours as she is having fever and cold. at night she was coughing continuously and her mother saw it and gave tablets to her. She was very sad as she remembered that she didn't write her exam well.

She was constantly blabbering that she dint write her exam well to her mother and her mother felt pity for her.

This happened almost every day and after 10 days its school reopening .she was extremely nervous and afraid as her friend told would tease her to hell. She happened to go to school by bus but today she went by her father's vehicle.

All students went to the score board which is situated in the top right corner of their class to check their ranks. She started to search her name from bottom to top. She could not find her name there and thought that he had failed. She was very disappointed and went to the restroom and cried. When she came out, she saw many of them were staring weirdly. She thought that her friend would have said that she had failed to everybody and again the tears made its way down the cheeks.

She saw her friend running towards her, seeing her she rushed towards the class to avoid embarrassment and her friend kept following her. She took the last seat and settled down. Her friend also came and sat beside her and smiled .she also returned it back with a small smile. Her friend gave her a gift which was wrapped with a golden wrapper. she saw her friend surprised.

Suddenly her teacher called her name, announcing her to be the 1^st rank student. Then only it hit her that she didn't check the top 5 names. She smiled happily , meanwhile they announced her name once again saying...

"The student of the year 2014-2015 goes to Safina"
