Hi all,
A friend requested I write something on Kabir and Ananya. @idonkno, this is for you. Hope you enjoy it.
I am going to write a small OS on a scene on the current track. I shall explore the intensity of Kabir's emotions. All credit goes to the creatives of Reporters. They are doing a bang up job. :)
FAITHLESS.
Seeing the door open, Kabir walks into Ananya's home, with only one thought in mind, "she needs me. She must be hurting. She needs me." He stops, shell shocked as he sees her in the arms of another man. A man who not so long ago admitted to him how much he loved Ananya... That he was going to tell her. Not able to see Ananya in another man's arms for another second longer, he turns and walks away. Defeated. Dejected.
He walks into his apartment. A restlessness takes over as his minds eye replays the scene he had witnessed moments ago... Of Anaya in Ronnie's arms. A wildness appears in his eyes as he looks around his apartment... Taking stock of his empty apartment, he realises how empty his life is... That the ray of sunshine that shone towards him was not his. Weak, not able to face reality, that the attraction, the attachment formed was one sided. He turns towards his old bad habit... His companion... His escapism... Alcohol. He needed to forget.
Needing to see that she is okay, wishing he could be by her side, he drives towards her home, not caring that he is drunk. The one time his faithful companion had failed him. He was not able to forget her. His heart calling out. She is my fiery angel. So full of spunk. Fearless. Chuckling as he recollects how she took on the baagis. His heart calls out, "why did she not turn to me? Do I not mean anything to her? I thought she liked me."
He parks across her home, hidden by the darkness, hopeful to catch a glimpse of his fiery angel. To reassure himself that she is okay. Instead he watches the girl who slowly crept her way into his heart, turn to another for reassurance and support. His heart cracks a little as he watches the picture perfect family through the open window. His demons call out, "She is not yours. You are too corrupted and cynical to have such an angel." He drives away, his demons laughing aloud, "haha... Did you really think she would fall in love with you... A cynical bas***d, who carries the load of his past on his shoulders!" He decides to believe in his demons over his instinct.
He wakes up hours later and finds himself on a hospital bed. His head pounding, he is able to grasp from the nurse that he was in an accident and had a broken foot. He turns around and seesTarini, glare at him. It was clear from her stance that she was ready to give a mouthful over being irresponsible. He looks at her sheepishly. Holding his head, he pleads, "not now. Headache."
As the day progresses, his eyes automatically seeks out the entrance of his hospital room, quietly searching. Eagerly waiting to see her. Disappointment growing with the hour, refusing to listen to the voice in his heart, "she is not coming. Your FRIEND is not coming. She does not care."
Unknown to him, she did come... Only to walk away without meeting him. Having watched him interact withTarini, She decided to believe in the rumours over her instinct... Wiping her tears as she races away from him, thinking, "I thought he liked me."
