He's obviously doing well for himself right now. But if his fan following really is kids and women (and what age group of women are we talking about here) what happens when these kids grow up? And when the next hot and happening thing comes along? I know this author thinks he wrote a very pro Varun article, but having a die hard fan in a 9 year old is not a sign of longetivity.
Giving 5 back to back hits is great and all. But when it all happens within 3 years, again, I don't think that's necessarily a sign of longevity either. Let the kid be around for double digit years at least before calling him a superstar. There was a time when Govinda kept giving hit after hit doing the same kind of movies. And while his fans disagree I still maintain that other than Badlapur all his other roles were more or less the same and Dilwale looks like it's up the same alley.
It's way too early to call him the next Salman Khan or the next SRK. On top of that the fear with elevating someone this much is that their fall will be that much worse.
