I doubt Raveena is still thinking of getting leading heroine roles, unless it's something off beat. But I do agree that she neither looks nor is old enough to be Priyanka and Ranveer's mother. The woman is what? Only 42 years old? Priyanka is 33 and Ranveer is 29 almost 30. Shefali is not that old either, but I think people are used to her playing a mom since she played Akshay's mom and Big B's wife in Waqt.

every actress has the right to decide what roles she takes up, if karishma, kajol fans expect them to get heroine roles, so is raveena who is at the same age group and they were all rivals at some point.

she def can give the top heroines of today a run for their money. I bet many wouldnt even be able to match her in her dance, she is an excellent dancer

The double standard in BW is disgusting!

We have AK, SK, SRK, Akshay, Ajay romancing girls that are half their ages (Deepika, Katrina, Anushka, Kareena) but then a 40 something old woman should play a mother to people about 10 years younger. This is just enraging. This why as much as I love Tabu and how great she was in Haider, she didn't suit playing a mother to a 34-year old Shahid.

If actresses like Madhuri, Raveena, and Tabu are expected to play the role of mothers to 20 and 30 something actors then hold the same standard for the aging Khans, Devgan, Akshay also. Make Salman (50 this year) play a father to Katrina. Make Shahrukh play a father to Deepika and make Amir play a father to Kareena. If these scenarios sound dumb for BW, then so are the scenarios where 40 something actresses are expected to be able to play mothers to people 10 years younger than them while the mainstream actors are romancing actresses 20 years younger and playing college students.

With that being said, i hope either Madhuri or Raveena had the guts to tightly slap Zoya across the face for approaching them to play the mother of 30 year old actors. Who the hell does Zoya think she is? She is no KJO that people would take this crap.
