The controversy over the Kareena-Shahid kiss, splashed by the Indian media, has raised an important question: where should the media draw the line with regard to intruding into the private lives of celebrities? Besides, who should decide this delicate line of control — the media or the celebrities? In this case, if the couple had been photographed kissing in the privacy of a bedroom, the media's intrusion would clearly have been unacceptable. But does photographing them in a public place constitute a violation?
