I agree with this argument. Even though I personally may have different beliefs, I must not blame others for having beliefs different from mine. As Valtaire said,
"I may not agree with what you say. But I will defend till death your right to say it."
But there is one criticism I do have regarding the serial Ravan:- stories seem to be inconsistent. It is quite evident that the makers of the serial want to highlight good qualities of Ravan. Nothing wrong in that. From 10th September's episode, it is quite evident that they also want to show Ram as God (because the episode had chanting "Jai Ram Jai Jai Ram"). Nothing wrong in that also. But what is wrong is that the serial has not intervowen these two things in a consistent manner.
They have already shown that Lord Ram has been born. They are showing Ram as God. It is obvious they will show Ram killing Ravan. God does not descend on Earth to kill somebody just like that. If God came on Earth to kill Ravan, this means Ravan must be very evil. But has the serial really shown Ravan as so evil?
Serial started by showing that Ravan is killing sages. Somebody may say it is wrong. But the serial has justified it by saying that the sages were indulging in wrong practices. It has been shown that Ravan killed Vidyut Jivah. But even this has been justified by saying that Vidyut Jivah's culture was so bad that he even killed his own mother. Ravan finalizing Kumbhkaran's marriage without Kumbhkaran's agreement may be wrong. But it is not so wrong that God has to come and destroy Ravan.
Before 10th september's episode, Ravan was nowhere shown as really evil; all his actions were justified. In 10th September's episode, it was just mentioned that Ravan's immoral behavior started. But did they really show him as evil? No. When they have to show that God came on Earth to kill Ravan, then they must show as to why God had to destroy Ravan. They have not shown it clearly.
The makers of the serial wanted to show that Ravan was not always bad. Fine. If they want to show good qualities of Ravan, it is all right. But, before showing the birth of Lord Ram, they must have shown evils of Ravan.
