Daya Shankar Pandey gets on an uthak baithak' spree on the sets of & TV's Badii Devrani...

Actor Daya Shankar Pandey who essays the role of Bilasi in Shashi-Sumeet Productions' popular & TV show, Badii Devrani is known for his superb comic timing. And the actor was recently given one such sequence which actually put his co-actors in splits as he shot for it.

Well, the stage was set for Bilasi to do sit-ups (uthak baithak) for a sequence. Actually, this was a last minute addition made to the scene by the director to keep the sequence more lively.

We hear that the scene required Pandey to do nearly 211 uthak baithaks (ohh, ouch!!). However, the actor actually went on to do an additional 100 more sit-ups, is what we hear.

Our reliable source from the set told us, "Daya Shankar Pandey is a perfectionist, and he readily agreed to do the sit-ups for the sequence. The shockingly high number of 211 did not bother the man, and he started giving his shot. However, when the 211 were over, the director said cut' in a very secretive way, so that Pandey did not hear it. Ultimately the sit-up session ended after Pandey had done it 100 more times. The entire cast and crew had a whale of a time as they saw the tough man at his energetic best."

We tried calling Pandey, but he remained unavailable for comment.

Phew, this really shows the high levels of fitness of the fine actor!! Way to go, Pandeyji...
