Taani and swayam were in the city square mall where a new shop was going to be renovated with their brand of clothes and they had come to check the consignment... As they entered the shop , right in the front there was the bridal collection display and the dummy was wearing a lehenga which was exactly the same which Sharon had worn during her marriage...

Taani immediately looked at swayam and found him staring at the lehenga with a straight face... he turned back to find taani looking at him but he avoided her and walked past...

After their work was done , taani went to the adjacent book store while swayam waited for her outside although he knew he was genuinely not needed there...

As he was leaning on the railing of the corridor looking downstairs , he found someone pulling his pants... he immediately looked down to find his chocopie standing there with a grin... His face immediately broke into a smile... He knelt down beside her and pinched her nose...

"so chocopie... we meet again huh????" he asked her with a wink...

"and that calls for our ice cream celebration..." she winked back...

"haa celebration hoga... but tell me something ... tum firse yaha akele kya kar rahi ho????" swayam frowned and glared at her...

"aaj to mumma ke saath ayi hoon... mumma andar mere liye kapre kharid rahi hai..." she pointed to the nearest kid's shop...

"okay... ice cream bad mein hoga... now you will go inside to mumma... pareshan hogi na wo???" he tried to convince her...

"nahi...mujhe ice cream khani hai..." she stomped her foot...

"okay hum khayenge ice cream.. but usse pehele tum abhi jao ander...mumma se kaho that tum bahar ho... agar wo permission de fir jayenge hum..." he patted her back...

She pouted and frowned but never the less turned to go inside the shop while swayam stood up and turned around looking downstairs again...

As aru was about to get into the shop Sharon came out hurriedly and sighed in relief seeing her at the entrance...

"abhi mai tumhe bandh ke rakhungi... har vakt idhar udhar chali jati hai...heart attack ho jata mujhe..." Sharon glared at her...

"array mai to firse buddy se mili... unhone bola apse permission lau fir mujhe ice cream khilayenge..." aru pouted with a frown...

" kaha hai tumhara buddy????" Sharon asked as aru held her hands and dragged her to where swayam was standing...

"buddy ye dekho..." Before she could complete swayam turned around to find his chocopie standing there holding her hand...

They didn't hear what aru had said latter on...

Swayam felt his lips and throat go dry ... She was still the same... tall and lean wearing a faded jeans and t shirt with her hair kept open... If anybody would stress on their eye they would find a small tinge of red vermillion in the middle of her scalp... swayam clenched his fists as he struggled to find his voice... The dream which he never dared to see again was standing so close to him...

Sharon concentrated on his features... he had turned to be leaner and weird... his once short stubble face is now showing prominent stubble... his hair properly combed like a professional... he didn't look the same... he looked like a bizarre has moved passed his soul sucking all the life out of him... he looked helpless , alone and vulnerable...

Sharon found him averting his gaze away from her and looking at aru with tears moistening his eyes...

Swayam didn't take a second to conclude that his chocopie was his baby , his daughter...

"ye lo tumhara notes... and this is the project.." Sharon handed swayam his economics project file... swayam Sharon were in a relationship since the last three months and all the notes , project , assignment , paper work of their class was done by Sharon for swayam...

"thank you..." Swayam smiled widely at her and she smiled back...

"mai ja rahi class... notes kal tak mil jayega tum dono ko as usual..." Sharon told swayam and rey and bade them good bye running towards her class...

After Sharon has gone away from their view rey turned at swayam's direction to find him still dazed out looking at where Sharon has gone...

"swayam ye tu kya kar raha hai????" rey sighed and swayam turned back at him breaking away from his reverie...

"kya???" he pretended not to get what rey was saying...

" do you realize you are changing????" he came directly to the point...

"what do you mean.. of course no..." swayam shrugged away rey's point... he was scared of this question because he knew he was changing but didn't want to admit...

"isme itna weird behave karne wali koi baat nahi hai... ye achi baat hai... hum bare ho rahe hai yaar.. we need to change... and Sharon achi larki hai... and tu khush reheta uske saath haina????" he tried to make him understand,... Swayam kept quiet...

"aur agar tu jana chahta hai.. to abhi bol de yaar use... aur rehena bhi hai Sharon ke saath fir bhi bol de use... baad mein pata chalega to baat bigar sakta hai..." rey held his shoulder and swayam turned at him...

"bolne ki koshish kiya maine... par bol nahi paya..." Swayam said in irritation...

"kyun kiya koshish??? Uska saath chahiye tujhe?? Ya fir..." Swayam knew rey was telling the truth... Swayam had tried many times to tell sharon the truth.. he knows she'll never accept him after knowing everything... and so he couldn't put up with the courage of telling her the truth... as a natural human instinct he tried to accept what was going to happen... so he tried to convince himself that he doesn't want Sharon and will tell the truth so that she leaves...

"of course not... mai janta hoon Sharon chali jayegi..." swayam immediately told rey...

"exactly..janta hai... par chahta kya hai????" rey hit him at the right chord

"dekh.. tu paka mat mujhe..." Swayam glared at him and walked away...

Swayam straight away went to the fire exit and sat on the stair case... He could see all the moments he had spent with Sharon moving in front of his eyes like a reel... He shrugged his head to remove the thoughts...

The door opened and he felt someone sit beside him... he looked at his side to find a classmate sitting there smiling at him... he faked a smile and looked away...

"kya hua swayam??? Something wrong????" she asked smiling seductively... Swayam didn't even look at her and nodded in a "no"...

"mai dekh rahi hoon swayam... jabse tum aur Sharon saath mein ho you are really ignoring me..." she pouted and swayam narrowed his eyes unable to comprehend what she was saying...

Seeing his reaction she gave a laugh and said... " come on swayam... I know tum koi loyal boy friend to ho nahi..." swayam frowned at her... when he heard her say that he was not a loyal boy friend he didn't feel nice...

"wo jis din tum log disc gaye the.. party karne I was there too... maine suna that you were partying coz you won the bet... I know swayam tum Sharon k saath bet k liye ho..." She held his hands expecting swayam to take the next move... but instead swayam shrugged his hands away and stood up...

"mujhe kuch kaam hai..." he was about to turn when the girl got up and held his hands making him look at her...

"tum badal rahe ho swayam..." she frowned and said in irritation...

Swayam was already confused , irritated and angry at himself as everyone was pointing out changes in him and he could feel it himself but didn't want to admit.. he looked at the girl with determined face and replied ,

"aisa kuch nahi ahi.. mai pehele jaisa hi hu..." he badly needed to convince himself that he has not changed...

The girl smirked and slowly came closer to him , holding his hands as swayam went scared , pale and nervous for the first time... and this angered him more... he realized that the girl has taken his hands and placed it on her waist and he felt his throat go dry... He sucked in a breath and gulped his saliva as he had a sinking feeling in him... he cannot do this to Sharon... he cannot... His heart kept telling him but he shuddered at the thought... he was still not ready to accept what he was feeling and going through but he stood their rooted not even concentrating on what the girl is doing but forcing himself to stand to convince himself that Sharon didn't matter to him...

He was completely dazed out in his confusion to notice that his hands were on the girl's waist and she was running her hands though his hair nuzzling into his neck unless and until he found the door bang open...

he looked at the door to find Sharon standing there rooted at her spot... The girl slowly moved away and held his hands looking at Sharon... Sharon looked at their entwined fingers and then at swayam... she knew swayam would say something in his defense... she knew swayam could never do this to her...

"swayam... ab to bata do..." the girl jerked his hands but swayam stood there looking at Sharon feeling everything break inside him... he kept on telling himself that everything would be fine...

As the girl saw swayam was not moving or saying something... She herself started saying...

"wo mazak tha Sharon.. swayam and baki friends ne bet lagaya tha that you will never agree to be with him... so seriously mat lena... no harsh feeling huh?.." she smirked at her...

Sharon kept looking at swayam hoping that he would say something contradicting her... when she felt swayam lower his gaze she knew it was true...

She turned around and left making swayam realize that she did mattered...

"buddy.. aap bhi chalo na..." swayam's reverie was broken as he looked up to see taani and Sharon standing there looking t aru with shocked expression... he guessed that when he was dazed out Sharon and taani had met and were going somewhere...

Before Sharon and taani could protest aru has started dragging swayam out of the mall...

"Sharon please... ab to baat karle mom se...wo bohut worried hai..." taani told Sharon as she looked at swayam from the corner of her eyes... he was sitting there in the lounge of Sharon and vicky-neha's apartment constantly looking at aru...

Aru came upto him and attempted to climb on his lap... " buddy ice cream???" she pouted... Before swayam could answer Sharon spoke up...

"aru idhar aao..." Seeing aru close to swayam , she was suddenly scared... aru looked at Sharon and frowned nodding in a no refusing to budge an inch away from swayam... swayam could stare no where except for at aru's face...

"tum puchti thi na??? papa kaha hai... he is your papa..." She looked at swayam saying this to aru... swayam still didn't look away from aru...

Aru's smile was gone... he looked at swayam with tears brimming in her eyes...

"aap itne busy the ki aap mujhse kabhi milne ke liye bhi nahi aye??? Birthday gift bhi india se veja... yaha nahi aye..." she complained... swayam closed his eyes clenching his fist...

"mujhe laga aap mujhe vul gaye ho..." She said as a tear dropped her eyes... swayam immediately wiped it with his thumb and struggling not to break down and nodded his head indicating aru not to cry... He picked her up and made her stand on the floor getting up... aru immediately held his pants and gave it a tug...

"buddy.. aap yahi rahoge na??? firse chale nahi jaoge na????" she looked at him innocently... Swayam knelt down in front of her caressing her hair...

"what's your name???" he asked her as he felt his heart break... he had to ask his own daughter what her name was...

"aap ne hi to diya... chocopie..." Aru said with a grin as swayam smiled...

"arushi..." he heard taani say... he looked up at taani and understood that she knew about his daughter as well as where Sharon was...and still had kept it away from him... for the first time he looked at Sharon too... for a moment Sharon found a lot of complaints there... he quickly looked away and looked at aru...

"I need to go now..." he said with a sad smile...

"aap aoge na kal???" she asked with a scared look... swayam smiled and nodded... "of course chocopie..." he patted her head and stood up and left...

Taani and Sharon stood there looking at his retreating figure... as they sat down on the couch talking about informing their parents about sharon's whereabouts...

After ten minutes they heard the bell ring again... aru ran to the door and was successful to pull it open since it was already unlocked... her face lit up again as she found swayam standing there with a chocolate cone in his hand...

"ice cream..." She screamed in joy... swayam knelt down and handed it to her...

" chocolate... as promised..." He was only looking at aru as Sharon and taani kept looking at them from the lounge...

As aru found he had only one in hand , after licking she offered it to swayam who took a bite and then gestured her to have the rest... with the cone in hand aru hugged swayam with her little thin fair hands as swayam pulled her closer to himself kissing her hairs softly as his eyes met with Sharon for a second before he moved them away...

"bye..." He stood up and walked away with aru happily licking the ice cream given by her buddy , her papa...

Awesome. Very well penned😊. I never thought Taani would know about Aaru. That was shocking. Also, how Sharon told Aru that Swayam is her papa without any problem / hesitation😲. I never expected that too. Later, Aru getting all emotional for Swayam not being there in her life so far was so sad😭. Loved the whole update.
