TOI:Co-star accuses Bhaiyyaji of sexual harassment

Actor Sai Balal, popular as Bhaiyyaji in 'Udann', has been accused of sexual harassment by his co-actor Helen Fonseca, who played Saroj in the show.

Allegedly, it started off with Balal sending her sleazy text messages, which slowly graduated to po*n videos. After much prodding, Helen revealed, "Sai would often send messages asking if I wanted to kiss him apart from sexually explicit videos. Initially, I handled it politely. But when things came to a head, I asked him to back off."

"I even complained to the production house, and a day later, I was relegated to an insignificant role in the show. I was expecting support from the cast and the crew, but that didn't happen. The show is a closed chapter for me," adds the actress, who is a principal of a pre-school and has featured in TV shows like CID and Savdhaan India.


However, when contacted Balal rubbished the allegation, "It's not true. Please come to the set to see how clean I am." The actor at the moment is mourning the loss of his aunt and is not in the city.

We sent a text message to the producer of the show, Guroudev Bhalla, but he didn't revert till the time of going to press.
