I was a little shocked with the drama that played out with nandish and rashmi. However, looking back now, I'm sure Rashmi had informed all of the production staff that she had to leave for a performance in LA. A contestant leaving like that would surely have been fired from the show. The entire drama that was enacted was most likely suggested by the production house because it provided a ton of mirch masala on this daily punchama as well.
The other contestants don't really seem that upset or angry with them about this fiasco - even in the love challenge where the contestants had to push a contestant in the water - nandish and rashmi were safe. And they aren't really a big drama couple in the show. I kow a lot of people feel that nandish and rashmi are creating drama by saying they are in this show to improve their relationship - perhaps the production house wants to play up this drama - like they do with showing mrunal and sharad's family's videos, or overplaying the whole upen-karishma phone incident (the whole thing looks scripted to me to be honest).
Upen recently posted a pic with nandish and tweeted he loves nandish and rashmi who he feels are among his biggest competitors in the show.
I watched the season that rashmi was in Jhalak - there was no drama in that show from her side.
In this show, all the couples that have a history or attitude/personality that can create drama has been amped up for this "daily punchama" and just generalized drama quotient.
