Hi..

As directors are considered the true captain of a ship ( very debatable now-a-days though)- Who among these ace directors do you think have their own fan base and guarantee a good film with or without big stars. How many of you go to watch a film just because your favorite filmmaker has made it?? and when did you get terribly disappointed after watching such a film??

Karan Johar, Aditya Chopra, Mani Ratnam, Vishal Bharadwaj, Ashutosh Gowarekar, Raj Kumar Hirani, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Rohit Shetty, Farhan Akhtar, Rakesh OmPrakash Mehra???

Anyone else who you like to include in the list?? 😃

Hirani, KJo and Rohit Shetty. Basically the latter two because they are known faces on TV and Hirani due to his films.

Raj Kumar Hirani. PK, 3 Idiots, MB series. Need I say more??

Vikram Aditya Motwane. Udaan is a masterpeice. And his follow up Lootera was quite good too.

Anurag Kashyap. Drops two spots to third after BV, but one of the best film-makers in the country. Ugly, GOW, Black Friday, Dev D, Gulaal.

Vishal Bhardwaj. Three classic in the form of Haider, Maqbool and Omkara. Definitely belongs in the top teir.

Farhan Akhtar. DCH is love. To make such a movie for your first is special indeed. Don series ruined him though. I hope he doesnt return to those and starts afresh.

Ashutosh Gowaikar. Lagaan is one of the greatest cinematic experiences of BW. I didnt like Swades that much and JA too fell short.

Soojit Sircar. VD was such a refreshing and great movie. With Piku he takes a place in top ten.

Dibakar Banerjee. So much talent yet always falls short due to some reason.

Reema Kagti. What a brilliant debut with Talaash. One to look out for sure.

Sriram Raghvan. Brilliant when he wants to be. I love thrillers and he knows how to diliver.

I like all of them. They are talented for their genre of movies. I cannot rank them because none of them can actually make films of others. They are unique in their brand of film-making
