One for mom: Bipasha Basu

Bipasha Basu has been down with a severe bout of flu. "I got out this week for an event, but otherwise I've been home-bound. I've never been ill like this before," she rues.

Today, she'll have to brave it out at a public event again, this time for her mom's sake. "I'm supposed to record for Indian Idol with John (Abraham) and Arshad (Warsi).

I thought of skipping it, but my mother is such a big fan of Indian Idol. I constantly hear her talking about Emon and Amit Paul, wondering who they were. Now, I'll finally get to know," she says.

Apparently, John clinched the issue on mom-in-law's behalf. Laughs Bips, "Yes, John egged me on to take mom to the show. She'll probably be clapping the loudest."
