It isn't a good feeling to get replaced in anything but in Bollywood, it's pretty normal it seems...
If Salman Khans walkout from Shhuddhi has left the whole industry in a trance, Rekha's sudden withdrawal from Abhishek Kapoor'sFitoor has left everyone shell-shocked. Everybody is busy looking for a reason behind both the actors' sudden withdrawal from the films. We agree these definitely are huge replacement bids, but truth be told, this isn't a new phenomena. Many a times superstars have walked out of films that went on to become blockbusters while there are films that tanked. Let us tell you a few of them.
Aamir Khan-Shah Rukh Khan - Darr
Aamir Khan was a rage among girls then sinceQayamat Se Qayamat Tak had made him every girl's dream man while Shah Rukh Khan was still looking for that one big break. Apparently, Aamir didn't want to lose the romantic charm that he had spun over the women with a negative film and refused Yash Chopra's directorial Darr. Shah Rukh filled in and the rest is history.

Shah Rukh Khan-Sanjay Dutt-Munnabhai MBBS
Did you know it was Shah Rukh Khan who was supposed to be the fake MBBS but loving gangster Munna in Rajkumar Hirani's debut directorial? But he refused and Sanjay Dutt became the eternal Munna bhai!

Kareena Kapoor-Preity Zinta- Kal Ho Na Ho
Kareena Kapoorwas Karan Johars first choice to play Naina in Kal Ho Na Ho but Kareena wasn't interested.

Kareena Kapoor-Aishwarya Rai Bachchan-Kareena Kapoor-Heroine
Madhur Bhandarkar announced his film at the Cannes film festival with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the lead. But later he replaced her with Kareena Kapoor who, however, was the first choice for the role. According to rumours, the reason behind Ash's ouster was her pregnancy.

Kareena Kapoor-Deepika Padukone-Goliyon Ki Raasleela - Ram Leela
It would have been a Ranveer Singh-Kareena Kapoor love story of Shakespearean proportion if she hadn't refused to do the film. At least that's what the lady told the media when asked about the same. But rumours were rife during the making of the film that it was the no pregnancy clause in the contract that led to Kareena's walkout.

Hrithik Roshan-Shah Rukh Khan-Swades
Yes, Hrithik Roshan was offered Swades, but the actor turned it down for reasons best known to him. It may not have been a blockbuster that SRK's films tend to be but he has never been this good in a role before.

Salman Khan-Shah Rukh Khan-Chak De India
Chak De! India was more than just a Shah Rukh Khan film. It had a brilliant script but even then Salman Khan, the first choice to play Kabir Khan, said no to it because he didn't like the climax of the film.

These revelations are pretty shocking as today, we can't imagine an actor not being part of a certain film!
