Actresses feel that Priyanka is trying to shift the focus to herself

Source close to an actress, who had a big hit recently, wonders whether Priyanka Chopra is trying to steal the thunder from other actresses. Says the source, "Every time an actress has had a big hit, PC has taken to Twitter to congratulate her. And then add how she was the one who started the trend with Fashion." This is making the actresses feel that Priyanka is trying to shift the focus to herself. It happened with Anushka Sharma during NH10. With Deepika Padukone during Piku and now Kangana Rananut with Tanu Weds Manu Returns. It's nice that she cheers for other actresses but somewhere she has always pointed out that she was the first person to kickstart this girl power revolution.

An industry insider points out, "When Kangana won the National Award, PC said that she was proud of her for her second award as they won the first one together for Fashion. Just before that, Deepika Padukone's career soared even higher when she delivered her sixth consecutive hit at the box-office with Piku. Around the same time, she tweeted, "Can't wait to watch #Piku #TanuWedsManu ! #GirlPower always! So good to see such amazing content driven films led by girls! It was so hard to get people to believe in us when I started. We were always second." She further reminisced the time when she was criticised for signing Fashion. She wrote, "I was called silly for doing Fashion as if it would harm my career! Hah! Look at us now! This movement will soon be a revolution! #ProudFemale." When Anushka got great reviews and acclaim for her first hard-hitting road film, NH10 as a producer. It was around the same time that Priyanka had also announed that she was working on her first production and PC tweeted, "Der aaye durust aaye! Ended up catching NH10 today. I am so proud of you @AnushkaSharma as a friend, woman, actor and producer! What a powerful film." The Quantico actress needs to be careful with her compliments because they are not being taken in the spirit they are meant to be taken in.

Pee Cee is merely doing herself what others get PR to do for her.

Count the number of articles about certain actresses...and somenothing to do with films..the forum gets flooded with them..all with one aim..to put the actress in peoples minds and not let them be forgotten.

Pee Cee isnt connected to anyone in films, not does she have a film director or hero as boyfriend, her career rests on her own shoulders, so go getter that she is...she puts it out there.

Having said that, yes, maybe she should stop adding her own name when she praises someone..

BUT its nothing different to what a paid PR and family PR of other actresses do. People should remember that..the media and forums show the clear picture, of who is a media junkie and who isnt

Sonakshi, Anushka, kangana are the coolest that way..they believe in a life outside of films and dont feel the need to share every detail with public..katrina of course, will not be mentioned because if not for her films, non readers wont even know she exists.

And Ash is like, the media needs her, so they will write anyway.
