"Bhai! Ashok!" Raman heard Romi yell out.

He turned around to find the tall wounded man right in front of his face. Ashok grabbed his shoulders in an attempt to push him down and Raman fight back as much as he could. His back was right as against the balcony's railing and Ashok's continuous attempts to push him down caused him so much pain he ended up screaming.

Ishita and Ruhi quietly entered the house quietly. Both were frightened by what had just occurred. Ruhi had clutched onto Ishita hand as tightly as she worried about her aunty getting hurt again. She slowly led Ishita around the house as she locked all the doors and windows following her dad's instructions. The last room they entered was Raman's. As Ruhi locked the door from inside, Ishita sat down on the bed weeping as she remembered Ashok's behaviour.

Ruhi sat down next to her and just looked at her scared of whatever had been going on today. Ishita looked at her face with was shadowed with fear which she was trying to hide as her dad had told her to be supporting her aunty right now. Ishita realized more than anyone this small child was being affected by all this. She was the one who had to see a drunk Ashok barge into her house, see him smash a bottle on the floor when Ishita told him to leave, she was the one who saw her get dragged into that room screaming, and she was the brave one who had used her mind at the right time and called Raman.

She had seen more than enough, so Ishita wiped off her tears and tried to not think about Ashok and focussed on making sure Ruhi was feeling okay. She smiled faintly at the small child before engulfing her into a bear hug. Ruhi tried to be strong like her dad said, but that hug broke her down. She cried loudly in Ishita's arms mumbling about how scared she was. Ishita had never hated Ashok more than she did right now for doing this to Ruhi.

"I'm sorry Ruhi." She whispered quietly, but Ruhi heard.

"Aunty don't say sorry. You are nice, but that uncle is bad."

"But he hurt you beta! I'm sorry this happened."

"Papa told me a story where a bad guy hurt the princess and queen, but the king came and hurt him so much more. The princess and queen forgot about the bad guy hurting them because the king saved them and the three were happy together. Just liked Papa saved us, so now we should forget about that bad uncle and be happy Papa saved us. "

"I love you so much Ruhi!"

"I love you too aunty, just like I love Papa."

"Ouch!" Ishita yelped as Ruhi touched her bleeding wrist.

"Haw! Aunty you're hurt!"

"It's just a little bit Ruhi."

"No it's not, there's blood!"

She ran to get the first aid kit and brought it back to her. She asked for help and Ishita smiled at her before helping her take care of her bruises and wrist.

"Aunty, your leg also hurts. What do we do about that?"

"Nothing, just give me a kissy and I will be fine!"

Ruhi kissed Ishita's cheek and Ishita kissed her back, but then they heard Romi's yelling and Raman's scream. They both rushed to the glass door of the balcony where Raman was struggling to fight back Ashok.

"Raman!" Ishita yelled and started to make her way to the door, but was stopped by Ruhi.

"Aunty no! Papa will be okay, don't go! That uncle will hurt you again!" she asked with fear in her eyes.

Ishita looked at Raman fighting back on the balcony and she realized if she was so scared seeing him like this, then Ruhi would be in a worse state. She went back to the window and closed the curtains after taking a good look at him and shedding a tear.

"Please be okay Raman. Please."

He had enough of this hideous man hurting him and everyone else important to him. He managed to push him off himself and now had him pinned on the balcony's railing. Ashok tried to fight back, but Raman's anger had broken all boundaries by now. He was absolutely done with him and couldn't tolerate him anymore. Ashok punched him across the face in an attempt to fight him off and Raman gave it back to him twice as harder. Luckily before Raman hurt him too much, the police had arrived and Romi had brought them up. Romi held Raman back as the police took away Ashok trying to calm him down.

"Bhai! Ishitaji and Ruhi all alone! Go to them and I will handle this, please."

Hearing their names Raman relaxed and told Romi to make sure everything goes right here. He rushed off to go back home while Romi stayed back.

She heard the door open and told Ruhi she would go check. She saw him enter the door finally and limped her way to him. He looked her at and it only took one look to realize she hadn't stopped crying since she had gotten here. She looked at his bleeding cheek and ran her fingers gently over it making him flinch in pain. She took her hand back apologizing and took a good look at him. His shirt had small stains of blood, his hair was mess just like his shirt that was now untucked. He was visibly tired and hurt...all for her. He had managed to drive that man away from her life at the cost of getting hurt and his daughter having to see it all.

Seeing him safe even though he was in a bad state and grateful that he had saved her from Ashok and did all this for her, she engulfed him into a hug. She held him tightly close to her by encircling her arms around arm crying on his chest. Ruhi also came outside to find her dad back home. She ran to him and hugged his leg crying as well. Ishita was hugging him with her hands on his back and Ruhi with his arms on his leg both causing a lot of pain, but he remained quiet. He couldn't think of his own pain since his girls were suffering right now. He patted both of their heads and asked them to go to the bedroom. He was in the middle with one hand around Ishita and the other holding Ruhi's hand. The trio walked into the room and Raman asked Ruhi to change. He asked Romi who had just entered to call Mihika and the Iyers. Soon everyone was called and they were all rushing to them.

In his room, Raman had Ishita sit down on his bed and she, shaken by this whole incident, was clutching into his hand asking him not to leave. He looked at her bandaged wrist and her wounds all cleaned off and she answered his question before he could ask it...

"Ruhi. She and you saved me from him."

He smiled at her and she smiled back faintly. He sat next to her on the bed and asked her if she was okay with talking to the police.

"I don't want to see that man!"

"You don't have to, you just have to give a statement."

"Do I have to?"

"Hey listen, I know it's hard for you right now and giving a statement will relive those moments for you, but this is only to get him to leave your life." He explained to her gently.

"Will you come with me?" she asked scared.

"The police are coming here and I will sit right here as you tell them everything."

She nodded still scared and holding his hand tightly as the police walked in at that moment. He sat with her during the whole time she told them what happened.

"...I was with Ruhi just doing my work while Ruhi was busy drawing or coloring. I heard loud knocking on the door and thought it was my sister who probably forgot to take something to work. When I opened the door...he was there." Tears were started to form again and Raman held her hand firmly letting her know he was there for her.

"Ashok was there completely drunk. He walked in and told me to pack my things to come with him. I told him to leave and he smashed the bottle he brought with him to the ground... Ruhi got scared and ran to me while Ashok was saying ...cheap things about me and Raman. He accused me of ...cheating on him." Raman was infuriated with Ashok's disgusting ways of thinking, but calmed down for the sake of Ishita and supporting her at the moment.

"I told him to shut up and he tried to... slap me, but Ruhi came in between. The small child tried to help me and he didn't spare her either...He called her an illegitimate child and other things I can't even mention." She looked at Raman as his anger was reaching a whole new level, but she held his closed fist trying to calm him down.

"I told him to back off and he thought I was being too defensive about Raman's child and...dragged me into the room asking me to pack my things... while I tried to free myself... When I refused to go with him, he took all my clothes and threw them into the suitcase in his drunk state. I tried to take my clothes out and... he held my wrist breaking my bangles." The police looked at her bandaged wrist as Raman ran over hand gently over the white cover on her skin.

"I tried to fight back and he started getting more violent... He threw a vase at me that missed... and knocked over things from the shelves. He pushed me down... when I tried to open the door he had locked. And threw a book at me, but it hit Raman instead... because he came in the way." She started to sob as she thought about what could have happened if Raman didn't come in time.

Knowing she couldn't speak any further, he signalled the police to leave while he sat with her. As they left Ruhi came out to find Ishita crying again. She went to Raman and whispered...

"Papa, aunty is still crying so something."

"I will, just be with her right now. I will be right back."

He walked out of the room and returned with some water and a pill for her.

"Ishita, have this and get some sleep."

He handed her a sleeping pill to help her get some rest and as she finished taking it Ruhi suddenly had a horrible thought come in her head...

"Papa! If that bad uncle comes back then? Papa I'm scared!"

"Raman! She's right, if-"

"Shh! Both of you! He is not coming back, and trust me on it!"

He looked at the Ruhi terrified in their spot and could think of no other solution besides putting her to sleep. He asked Ishita if it was okay with her if he was on the bed and she nodded her head scared of being left alone and couldn't think of anything else. Ishita just sat on the bed and watched Raman pat Ruhi's head which was on his lap. The day's incident and the fact she was still on medication from before made her fall asleep quickly and he slipped out of bed after sure she wouldn't wake up.

He left the two in the room after telling Ishita he would be right back after changing. He came back a few minutes later changed and with a bandaged wound to find her asleep with Ruhi. He was about to leave the room when Ruhi cried for him in her sleep. He rushed over to her and picked her up. He sat down with her on the bed and put her on his side making her stop her crying. Exhausted and with the effect of the pain killers he took, he fell asleep in between the two. The Iyers rushed in almost 10 minutes later to find Ishita and Ruhi both asleep on Raman's lap as he fell asleep sitting on the bed. As much as they wanted to be with their daughter, they realized it was best to leave the trio alone as they had been through a lot today. They all slept through the day and night due to the effect on their sleeping pills and painkillers.

She woke up the next morning to find herself sleeping on his lap. She got up right away and found him sleeping in an uncomfortable position with his cheek now covered with a bandage, but his face relaxed. Seeing his bandaged cheek, the events of yesterday played back in her mind. But she convinced herself it was all okay now and that devil wouldn't bother her anymore. She came out of her thoughts and noticed Ruhi still asleep on his lap and in an attempt to help him, she got up and went around the bed to lift Ruhi's head carefully off his lap and onto the pillow. She looked at him and want to help him into a more comfortable sleep and carefully touched his shoulder trying extremely hard not to wake him up. As she helped him lay down, she heard him mumble...

"Ow! My back...stop."

She realized his back had been hurt yesterday and she didn't even noticed while he understood her pain right away. She decided to wait until he got up before calling a doctor to come see him. She slumped down on the bed seeing the sleeping father daughter and what Ashok had done to them because of her. Her crying made him wake up and he opened his eyes to see her crying again. He sat up causing an immediate pain shoot up his back causing him to yelp. Ishita looked up to find him sitting in bed and sat on the edge next to him. Ruhi woke up in that moment before she could say something, but as she ran off to get dressed, she immediately asked...

"Raman what happened your back?"

"Nothing, I am fine."

"Raman take off your shirt, I need to make sure."

"Ishita...my shirt?"

"Yes your shirt! I don't care about anything right now, I need to see if you're okay."

"I'm fine-"

"Then I could say the same thing right now, would you believe me?"

"No."

"Then I don't believe you either."

"You're not budging are you?"

"Nope."

"A complete Jhansi ki Rani." He muttered under his breath as he unbuttoned his shirt. He was hesitant to take it off as he finished with the buttons. Seeing him not okay with this she said...

"I am a doctor, so do what I say like you would listen to your own doctor."

"You're a dentist, not a doctor!" he tried to argue back but in vain. So he had no choice, but to take off his shirt.

As he removed it, she asked him to turn around. Tear formed in her eyes and she cursed Ashok as she saw his state. His shoulder was badly bruised and his back had small bruises as well.

"I think it was the balcony's railing." He said to her.

"And the book on your shoulder." She said as she ran her hand over his bruised shoulder making it hard for him to not be affected by her touch.

"Ishita..."

"I'll put something on all this."

"No I'm fine. I have to go get ready."

"Raman! Stay!" she said in a firm voice that was choking as she tried not to cry.

She got some ice to put on his back and asked him to lay down on the bed. He tried to refuse but failed once again.

"These women! They always get their way around." He muttered under his breath again.

As she started to place the ice wrapped in a towel on his back, he wanted to get away and pretended to get hurt by the ice...

"Ouch! This is hurting it more."

"It is? Sorry."

She started to gently blow on his shoulder attempting to lessen his pain only little did she know she was making it all the harder for him. He needed to get out of here before he ended up losing control over himself. He knew she wouldn't let him off the hook easily and he was indeed hurt, so he tried to find a way to stay put. He closed his eyes just trying to forget it was her who was touching him right now and with Ishita's help his pain was reducing and he slipped back into sleeping thinking about her.

He was woken up by the sound of his phone ringing. He tried to ignore it at first, but then it wouldn't stop and he got up to see Shagun's name flashing on the screen.

"Hello Shagun!" he said almost irritated.

"Raman, why didn't you call yesterday? I was waiting to talk to Ruhi. I was getting so worried when you didn't answer my calls."

"Sorry, but there was a huge problem here yesterday!"

He narrated everything that took place the day before and Shagun knew it was time he knew the truth of this marriage. She couldn't believe Ashok had stooped so low and now it was enough...

"Raman I am coming to your place right now, I have to tell you something important..."
