Chapter-3
AB BOLNA KYA?"My sister..."Vandu was shell shocked to know that Shagun is Raman's sister. She coudn't believe her ears. He didn't spare a second there, but sprinted out of the compound as fast as he could. Vandu understood the sticky situation where he is in. He also gone in the same state where her sister is. She watched his hastily retreating figure with her fuzzy vision. Raman drove back home frantically contemplating the incidents once again. He can see nothing but two faces, one; his little sister and the other the love of his life!
RAMAN'S POVI knew it's her. The moment I was inside her room, the moment we were in the proximity, all my instincts told me that it is her. It is my Ishita.
Damn it! I still loves that bloody bi**h.I still can hear her voice even though she is not talking. I still can hear her promises for a future together ringing in my ears. I still can feel her voice lingering in my very soul...even after she stopped talking to me.
However, I couldn't follow my heart straightly, which I've never done. The overwhelming love had already turned into hatred when I came to know that she left my sister to die there. She never turned up. She had broken my trust. She made me decide that I should never let her know that I loved her more than she did.
It must be her guilt of being the reason for letting Shagun die so miserably which made her mute. She must have the feeling of committing a sin by letting my sister...
I never tried to find out her whereabouts albiet my mind told me millionth time. My crazy heart didn't want her to face my wrath for whatever she had done. One thing I was sure that once I meets her I may end up killing her...turning her into ashes. Alas...! I loved her so much that I've suppressed my rage to forgive her. Nevertheless, I've never been successful in forgiving her till now. I can't even treat her as a WOMAN!
What kind of a woman is she? How could she do this to her best friend who loved her so much. Maybe more than she loved me. Shagun adored her so much that she wanted her to be with her for EVER. Tied to her for EVER. In a familial bond. As my wife. She belived that WITCH too much that she lost her life!
She is the one reason why I've lost my sister. I'll get to the other reasons and persons behind this mystery through her. I don't care what way I chooses to gain it. I don't care what she feels about me in the end. I'm not that worse like her. But I'll make sure that she suffers a lot to repent. I'll make her feel the pain of being LEFT ALONE!
BHALLA HOUSEMr and Mrs Bhalla were yelling at Raman for doing rubbish things. He didn't move a bit by their round of scolding and advices. That was when Mihir entered the scene.
Mr Bhalla: "yeh kaisa bakwas hai puttar? Yeh sach hai ki hum tujhe jald se jald shaadi-shuda dekhna chahte hai. Lekin iska matlab yeh nahi hai ki tumhe kisi gungi ya behri ke saath..."
(What's this nonsense? It's true that we want you to get married soon.But it doesn't mean that you can marry some dump or deaf)
Turning to Toshiji with a pleading look, " Samjhavo apna puttar ko"
(Make him understand)
Toshi: "Ji puttar...papa ne sahi bola. Aise decision mat lena."
(Papa is right. Don't take such decision)
Raman: "I'm sorry mummiji, is baat ko lekar aur koyi discussion nahi hoga. Mera decision final hai. Agar min shaadi karunga to sirf aur sirf Ishita se. Ap Ishita ko reject kar sakte hai...If you don't want me to get married ever."

By that warning like dialogue he ran to the upstairs to his room. Mihir came to a stunned Mr and Mrs Bhalla with an I'll-try-to-talk-to-him face which made them heave a sigh of relief.
Toshi: Making a confused face, "Pata nahi kyun mera puttar kal vo ladki ko dekhne ke baad thoda ajeebsa bartav karne laga...hai na Bhalla ji?"
(Don't know why is he behaving strange after meeting the girl...right Bhalla ji?)
Mr Bhalla: "Haan...mujhe bhi laga ji..."
(Yes I too felt it)
Mihir: Reassuringly, " Don't worry uncle ji, main dekhta hoon."
(I'll see)
When Mihir ran to Raman's room Mr and Mrs Bhalla sat on the sofa, feeling weak by all those affairs going on in their life.
RAMAN'S BEDROOMRaman was lying on his back eyes tight shut. Mihir entered the room after knocking. Raman didn't raise his head or moved to acknowledge his presence. Mihir sat beside him on the bed and begun the conversation in a soft and slow pace because he feared to die in the fire of Raman's anger. He inquired him regarding his decision that made Raman blurt out the truth that she lost her voice in an accident. Safely hid her hands behind Shagun's death. He explained him everything about their long lost love affair, Shagun being the cupid. He tried hard not to show his overflowing hatred and anger towards her in front of Mihir.
Raman: "Kyun Mihir...? Sab ko mera decision itna rubbish kyun lag raha hai?"
(Why is my decision seems rubbish to others?)
Mihir: "Because she cannot talk..."
Raman: Turning his back to Mihir, gritting his teeth in anger,"I have faith on my feeling...it is unfathomable Mihir...which will make her talk"
Mihir: "Lekin kyun...? Is it because you love her...?
(But why?)
Raman: "No...there is something else...she...should tell me..."
Mihir: "Please stop talking puzzles. Straight batao..."
(Tell me straight)
Raman: Turning angrily at Mihir, "She have to talk Mihir...at any cost...I'll make her talk...!"
Mihir: "But Raman...isse tumhara kya lena dena?"

Raman: "Lena dena hai Mihir...SHAGUN!"
Mihir: Sits back feeling weak on his knees and mumbles, "SHAGUN?"
Raman: "Haan...uski maut ke raaz sirf Ishita janti hai...and I'll make her spurt out it...chahe kuch bhi hojaye..."
(Yes...Ishita is the one who know the mystery behind Shagun's death. Whatever may happen, I'll make her spurt out it)
Mihir: Pleadingly, "Raman please...don't make it difficult for me...again..."
Raman: Touching his shoulder as if to give him strength, "I didn't mean to hurt you yaar... You've Mihika in your life. But what about me? No one can replace my little princess... Shagun!"
Mihir: Creasing his eyebrows, "Matlab kya hai tumhara?"
(What you mean?)
Raman: Stammering, "That...that...you have...moved on..."
Mihir: Punching on the bed in frustration, "Goddamn Raman...!
Mihika is not my love...she is my family's choice for God's sake!"
Raman: "Well...you've moved on...and it is clear...now you can't feel my pain anymore..."
Mihir: "You've mistaken me Raman... Mihika is just a hope for me to move on...but...but...I'm still damn stuck with the past... I cannot even think of loving Mihika with all my heart... Mera dil ab bhi uski pass hai yaar..."
(My heart is still with her)
Raman: "I don't want you to stuck with the past...and I too really wants to move on..." Turning his back to Mihir and says in an angry but calm tone, "Ek baar Ishita mere haath main aajaye..."
(Once I get hold of her)
Mihir: Quizzically, "Haath main aajaye matlab?"
(Get hold means?)
Raman: Trying to control the damage, "Matlab...shaadi...haan...shaadi hojaye...to...to vo mere paas ajayenki na..."
(I mean marriage and she'll come to me)
Mihir: "Are you sure yaar?"
Raman: "More than sure."
Mihir: "I'm always there..."
Raman: "I know"
After giving a promising look and contented smile to his friend, Mihir walked towards the entrance only to be halted by Raman's voice asking him not to let others know this matter. It made Mihir to look at Raman suspiciously.
Raman: "I don't want to give them false hopes. There is only hope that she may talk...no chances...And I don't want them to go through the same pain...again..making them remember Shagun...I hope you understand..."
Mihir nodded positively and left the place after promising Raman on the same.
BHALLAS AND IYERS ON CALLThey apologised to each other on the argument and dirty fights the last day. The Bhallas were faking it while the Iyers were rejoicing the turn of events.
Mr Iyer: "Main bahut khush hoon ki ap aise decision liya."
(I'm so happy for your decision)
Mr Bhalla: "Mera puttar ke khushi ke aage kuch nahi hai mujhe."
(My son's happiness is everything for me)
Mr Iyer: "Raman jaisa damad milne ko sach me lucky hoon...I'm sure ki vo meri Ishu ko khush rakhega."
(I'm lucky that I've got a son-in-law like Raman. I'm sure he'll make my daughter happy)
Mr Bhalla: "Haan ji...to hum sagayi ki baat karenge...?"
(Then we should talk about engagement)
Mr Iyer: "Next week hum ghar main officially milke baat karenge...?"
(We'll talk officially the next weak)
Mr Bhalla: "Vo ji...galat mat samajhna...par..hume Raman ka shaadi isi mahine karna hai...uski horoscope mein kuch problem hain..to hum kal milke sab baat kar sakte ho?

After cutting the call Mr Bhalla turns furiously to Raman who is standing there rubbing his chin.

(Why did you make me lie?)
Shaking him by his shoulder to bring him back from the trance, "Ki hoya puttar?"
(What happened son?)
Raman shrugs his hands off and walks to his room after murmuring a "Thanks papa"
NEXT DAY IYER HOUSERaman called Vandita before hand to inform his decision to marry Ishita. She was on cloud nine to hear the great news that someone is ready to give a life to her sister. But Raman cleared her saying it is not his sympathy but
HIS DEEP FEELINGS FOR ISHITA . Vandu interpreted it to be
HIS LOVE FOR ISHITA !He asked Vandu not to bring the matter of Shagun or Ishita's psychological trauma in front of his family as they will feel bad.Vandu once again fell flat thinking Raman to be a kind and considerate person.
After a lot of discussions the families decided to get them engaged after two days. And a register marriage on the fifth day after the engagement considering Ishita's state. So Ishita's
COUNT DOWN started!!!
