Define KJo's love for Alia Bhatt - Page 3

Utility wala, paise wala, hits wala

Lemme get this straight..Alia is talented & i do believe she is a live wire onscreen..And she can be fun off screen too..But KJo's obsession with casting her in every other film & the overhype is getting borderline ridiculous..One good performance & she is called Meryl Streep..2 hits & she is called a superstar..Are you kidding me?

Alia is young Kareena for KJo just like Deepika is young Aishwarya for SLB.

Well, Alia has also given Karen hits where as Kareena hasn't always. In fact other than K3G Kareena hasn't had any hits with Dharma.

Anyone in Alia's situation would do the same. You don't turn down a Dharma movie because it's being handed to you easily 😆. The only reason to turn down a Dharma movie would be if you want to do off beat or art house films. At the same time, production houses will repeat their hit actors and Alia certainly is one for KJo. Shandaar might change things though. It looks like it's September release might get lost between Brothers and Fan (isn't Fan releasing in October?).

Also, I don't think the general movie going audience really analyzes things the way we do here on IF. I think as long as she keeps churning out hits her career graph will rise. It is also helping that so far she's been doing different kind of roles. I doubt people will suddenly stop buying tickets to her movies just because it's another Dharma film.

As far as not giving others opportunities, movie making is a huge business with lots of money involved. Why should Karen give a role to Parineeti instead of Alia given their current box office standing? There are other filmmakers out there as well. I don't see any of them giving Parineeti any films. Her own mentor Adi Chopra doesn't seem to be giving her any roles. Such as the nature of the beast, you give a flop and lose your mojo and people will not invest money on you.

he takes pride in having her as his protege .. If Alia becomes really successful in the future, Kjo surely will have a big hand in establishing her career
