Viewers have grown immune to twists?

I've observed this with my family, friends and some of my online friends too.

There was too much drama and viewers have seen the worst in the past few months. Now I think they have grown immune to twists. Especially after Basanth and Shiv exit the story lost its impact on viewers. Previously I've seen people around me feel for characters esp. when Anandi Shiv & Ganga Jagadish are in sorrow or facing any difficulty. They used to wait for the suspense to be revealed.

Previously they were sad when Basant and Shiv were killed. Now they simply don't care!

They are like ...'Whatever you want you can show...I'll watch if I find some time and only if there is something interesting. Else skip the episode.'

Anandi's daughter kidnap and her child marriage, Nimboli torture by Harki, Ganga Jagadish misunderstandings, Kundan trying to get close to Nimboli, Kamli marriage with Pushkar after seperation from Gopal. All these had least impact on viewers.

Now they will kill Gopal but I think people wont bother much.

Anandi sorrows and tears, Ganga tears etc. etc. have lost their effect.

Anyone observed the same with people around them who watch Balika Vadhu?

Ya i also feel people watching bv r because of habbit.
There r loyal viewers who r watching because they r habitual.

whatever bv will show they will watch

and other group they watch as per track , depend upon spoiler . or while shuffling channel

It may be individual opinion.
The story came back after being stuck in one place for more than a year
It came back with Anandi's pregnancy then subsequent death.
People wanted to know how Anandi would cope with life and how she will bring up her children
Then she lost her freedom and her baby.
She gained freedom and finally managed to make home for herself and for kids now how will she make her son less dependent on Dsa is the next step.
With her separated from her daughter how and when she will unite with her daughter how will her daughter react knowing that her mother's mistakes resulted in her suffering and how they cross that barrier . Now there are so many things to look forward to.
In between showing these salient things in the story they will obviously show Nandini's life how different it is than it should be and through the story of Akheraj family drama they are showing us whatkind of a girl she is . They were showing what kind of a boy Shivam is through his interactions with Singh brothers and Dadisa as well as his mother.

In between the story of Anandi and her kids they are showing Jagya's family story which also reached next level

Anandi's sorrows and Ganga's problems are part and parcel of life they are showing how these two women approach the problems they face in life.

Story is all there . After more than year the feeling what happens next has entered while watching this show.
It is really sad that Shiv had to be bumped off and shame on the writers that they couldn't incorporate his character in the story.
The only thing that is wrong is the pace . They are dragging the show.

Yes agree. this happens esp when the directors delete important characters in the serial just like that without giving any proper reason. They sent sumitra and bhairon out and not a word about them. They think people simply forget. Anyone who takes the serial seriously will also consider these things.
And honestly,I don't understand the concept of loyalty when it comes to watching serial and liking actors. I believe audience who watch it at all times watch it out of mere habbit and nothing else. Loyalty is too big a word to be used for watching a daily serial on tv . Just my opinion.

Well its Show Business... all things depend on MONEY
everything is fair when MONEY keep coming...for Viewers either its out of habit or just time pass

Most of Daily soaps are OTT Illogical still getting good numbers in term of TVT or even Sponsors too

@ bold... yes, I have become one of those viewers now. The post leap story has barely had any impact on me as viewer. I do not feel any attachment even for the prominent characters like Anandi, Jagya or Dsa any more, let alone the new cast. The story is moving in round and circles, just for the sake of it.

I do keep an eye on the forum and on the updates time and again to keep a track on how the story has progressed simply because I have invested 6 plus years in this show so its hard to be completely disconnected. But I must have watched randomly only 5-6 episodes post leap.

Balika Vadhu has certainly lost its impact for a section of viewers like me, who were largely watching the show because it had a sensibly woven story to tell, which is no longer the case.

I was ready to watch the story even after Shiv's exit, but makers could not excite me enough to even pick on my remote and start the TV.

surprisingly many newly launch shows failed to gain impact ...many shut down within 3/4 months to one year
these 6/7 year old Dailies like BV still running sometimes with good numbers sometimes bit low numbers

but point is BV still watched by some section of people , that makes difference may be out of habit or any other reason...

Fact remain all these old serial like BV still making impact for some section of audience (may be lesser audience compare to their previous episodes ) still its much better than newly launch serials...

anyways... lets see how long this scenario will continue

True . BV is running mostly because other shows are not able to sustain interest of the viewers.
So many of us who have been watching BV since the time it started till now are doing because the newer shows failed to catch our interest.
This says a lot about the state of entertainment on Television rather than the show itself.

Agree watching Anandi's daughter as Balika Vadhu for that they simply bump off Shiv make Anandi widow refugee its sheer 🤔
But fact remain BV still making money for Channel those who are part this show getting money

who cares when Money is there...😆

Wonder why viewers still watching BV out of habit or for time pass ...moment BV stop making profit for channel it will shut down
