If we remember last week... We had Abhaas, Harshit and Priyani perhaps giving the best performances... All of them esp rocked in the Folk round... Toshi, Irfaan and Abhilasha came right behind the toppers... The relatively weeker lot was Ishmeet and Mirande.... Most of us here also felt that Sumitra was right there at the bottom, with her rendition of Beedi being the most forgettable one ever in a reality show....

Come fwd to one week and a huge surprise/shock awaits us....

Toshi is eliminated (we all thought that he had a huge vote bank)....

The weakest performer of the last week tops the votes...

The other 2 week ones (Ishmeet and Mirande) are comfortably placed... and the strongest performers of the last week are at bottom 4...

Not just that, arguably the most talented and consistent singer reportedly survived just by 25 votes...

What can we derive from voting patterns and shocking results??😕

Jayaji, what is happening is that we have three of such shows running parallel and all asking for public votes. Gajendra singh has made a wrong decision to slot SVOI in the same timing slot as the other popular show on the other channel.So it all depends on the number of viewers who are dedicated followers and among them the dedicated voters.

As we know that as of now SVOI is lagging behind in terms of TRP ratings, so it has badly affected its vote gathering front. I think bulk of the SVOI voters, do voting for more than one contestant & naturally they sympathise with the lesser performer on a particular day thinking that the best one will be taken care of by others. Thus we have a 180 degree variation in terms of the top & bottom vote gainers while the middle remains somewhat constant.

One double standards professed by the judges & Gajendra singh is regional bias. The contestants on one hand are introduced in each & every episode as from this state, city and this aspect is highlighted time & again(evident in Saturday's Chak de episode) and the same producers & judges lament about peoples lack of judgement terming it as regionalism(Gajendra singh was openly saying this in an interview to star news just a few hours back).

And by the way sorry to go off topic Toshi in all probability is going to be brought back since Gajendra singh has hinted that the judges are unhappy over his elimination and they are thinking of making some changes to the format in the near future.

I feel Mirande might be eliminated this week. That would be really bad, because she's hardly being able to do justice to her talent due to her throat problem.

Feel bad for her. I can see she wants to give in her best but her voice isn't holding up

yup I agree but probably she can do better justice in next season😊

by far this is the show which has taken highest potshots at public voting..... it holds on public not only for eliminations but also bottom four.... the once for who are safe, they say public took right decision and for bottom four they say they are best singers.... so who should be bottom four....

i seriously have doubts whether these so called "votes" are even real! there is so much fluctuation...
one week they r in bottom 4 then the next week they are almost at the top...
what kind of voting patern is this....

i think these votes are being catered according to TRP's...to increase drama, they put some strong singers at the bottom to raise viewership.....

dont beleive in these votes at all!

I personally think that since the voting pattern is actually so fluctuating.. it makes you think that the votes here are indeed real...

As Trishanku rightly said, the overall vote base for this show is not as high as some of the other shows... Also, since there are multiple favs for most of us, we tend to send votes to many instead of crazily voting only for one week after week... When one contestant lands up in bottom 4, some of their fans probably go for a continuous voting spree to save them next week and this additional delta of the votes just alters the results like this...

I agree ... this show is not seeing frenzied voting by fans unlike the others and hence probably the fluctuation ...

i still hold on to my opinion that though the elimination might be based on lowest votes the others in the bottom are cooked up so i dont beleive that abhaas just missed being eliminated last week 😛

btw last week was the first time they mentioned the topper among the votes
