The title of the story is about to get more true! 😆 They are mad... and Randhir is slowly going to turn more mad. And they're separated because of their own stupidity, that's true. He's crazy, as Rehaan says... someone who is unnecessarily complicating things. I love you too! You keep smiling! <3

He's blinded by love... or what he believes to be love, really his craziness, his ego. He thinks Sanyukta can get better, but who is he to decide that for her? -_- He thinks he's smart, but destiny is going to pummel him to the ground... that's how he's going to learn. Fifty Seven

Everything seemed to flow smoothly for the next month. During his business meetings with Rehaan, Rehaan would tell him that Sanyukta was starting to a be a little more loose around him.

"You know, I still think you should drop your ego and go and be with her," Rehaan told him one day at a coffee shop.

"Rehaan, I've told you so many times... I can't," Randhir told him. "Why don't you be with her?"

"She isn't some toy Randhir, that if you don't like, you can throw on someone else," Rehaan told him. "She may not even like me."

"She doesn't like you?" Randhir asked with disbelief.

"She does... I mean she does like me as a friend," Rehaan clarified.

"So? What more do you need? There's trust, there's understanding. You're a good guy, she's a good girl. You guys have known each other since you were kids, why do you need anything else?" Randhir asked him.

"There's no love," Rehaan pointed out. "I do love her... but not in the way that you do."

"Love will come on its own," Randhir told him. "Think about it Rehaan. I know you like her more than you say you do... and she, she will like you in that way too. What's there not to like about you?"

Rehaan sighed.

"We'll see Randhir," Rehaan said to him. "I'll talk to her and ask her what her views on marriage are."

Randhir smiled at him. This was great. He knew that Rehaan would be able to keep her happy.

He paid the bill and then went home, to look through his window. Sanyukta wasn't in her room. Randhir sat by the window and picked up one of his files, which had a contract he needed to sign for the start up of his business.

Later on that night, Randhir noticed the light of her room turn on through his peripheral vision, and he turned around to see her smiling. He smiled, surprised that she was smiling. It felt really nice to see her smile like this after so long.

Then Rehaan entered the room behind her and Sanyukta turned around to show him something. Randhir looked closely. It appeared to be a towel. Rehaan took the towel, then disappeared into Sanyukta's bathroom.

Randhir took a deep breath - why should he care if Rehaan was showering in Sanyukta's room? There must be some problem with his washroom... and even if there wasn't, what was the big deal. He should be happy.

But he couldn't help but feel a little uneasy, like what was happening was not right.

Rehaan then appeared in her room again, wrapped in a towel, and Sanyukta looked at him, with a smile. She stood up. Rehaan was about to make his way out of her room in his towel, when Sanyukta grabbed his arm to stop him.

He turned around, and Randhir could tell that he looked surprised. Sanyukta said something to him, and Rehaan grinned widely, engulfing Sanyukta in a tight hug. She hugged him back.

The hug was more tight than Randhir could have ever imagined, and he didn't like to watch it. He closed his curtains, so he wasn't able to watch them anymore and he lay down on his bed.

He ought to be happy... he wanted Sanyukta to like Rehaan, and it seemed like she did. They would be good together. But he felt very uneasy, like this wasn't right... like he should be in Rehaan's place right now. It wasn't even jealousy, it was just that he knew what was happening was wrong, and he was still letting it happen.

"What's happening?" Randhir groaned. "Why can't I just let those two be?"

Fifty Eight

The next day, when Randhir went to meet Rehaan, he felt awkward. He didn't know why... he just didn't want to talk about Sanyukta, but Rehaan brought her up almost immediately.

"So Sanyukta said yes to marriage," Rehaan told Randhir happily.

"What?" Randhir blurted out, stunned that Sanyukta agreed just like that. "She said yes?"

"Yes," Rehaan said, smiling widely. "She said yes. She said she didn't think she would be able to move on from you... but she wants to give us a chance."

"What?" Randhir said, still shocked, in a state of disbelief.

So last night, when Sanyukta grabbed his arm, it was to say yes to Rehaan? Randhir scrunched his nose in disgust. How could she? He thought her love for him was so pure. But then again... why was he upset? He should be happy. He wanted this.

"Great, I'm happy for you," Randhir said, standing up. "Anyways, I have to go."

Rehaan looked confused.

"We haven't even discussed business yet," he told Randhir.

"Sorry, you do what you feel is right," Randhir said, then left the place.

A zillion thoughts were running through his head. Saying it was so easy... that he wanted Sanyukta to move on. Even envisioning it was easy. It was for her own sake. Her happiness. How could he not be happy? But he knew, that her happiness could not possibly lie in Rehaan, if it did, her pure love for him wouldn't be pure. And Randhir was convinced her love for him had been pure, that meant that she couldn't be happy with Rehaan. It was impossible.

What had he been thinking?

He wanted her back now... this wasn't fair. Not on him, not on her. It was only because of him that Rehaan even proposed to Sanyukta. Now it would be because of him that Sanyukta would break the proposal and come to him.

He was going to meet Sanyukta. He had to meet her. This was not happening... he couldn't let it happen.

Haha in our lives destiny does make things right too... or wrong, it's just our perception of right/wrong does not usually tend to agree with destiny's. Just like in the FF, RD thinks it's right to stay away from Sanyu, even though he knows he's meant to be with her. So he thinks destiny is screwing him over.
