Maan didn't reply ... for a strange reason he didn't like to share his relationship to Geet with Meera... he didn't say anything about Geet to her... not even her name...he convinced her to take medicines... she agreed after a lot of persuasion...
Slowly Meera started to recover and Maan without knowing went in the flow with her... he started spending more time with her... took care of her...he took her to shopping... movies and dinner with him... he thought he is doing all this for her betterment but for Meera this showed how much he loved her...
as the time passed, Meera also started working the hospital... although not officially... but she assisted Maan in most of the cases... in this way they got more time with them...
Maan was normal at home also... he never said anything about Meera to dadi as.. Meera left even before Maan could say anything about her to dadi... and Geet didn't knew about his love in collage days...
Meera started to influence him like olden days... Maan also didn't stop her... and Meera suddenly asked him to marry her... Maan was shocked... but didn't reply her.. and Meera took this as his rejection and again starter to slip into depression... Maan was alarmed and promised her in that situation... that he will marry her...
but after that he didn't say anything... Meera one day asked him about marriage and suggested him a divorce... as his was a love less marriage... she even suggested to give his wife a lots of money and properties... so that she can live her life without any trouble... and she even told him that she will allow Maan to look after geet if she was in trouble...
one side... Maan was in guilt trip,.. did he really cheat Meera... she loved him so much that she left her only family for him... she should have told dadi about Meera when she asked him to marry...
and on the other side was geet... his wife... who has no one other than him and his dadi in this world... and he is even not being loyal to her... he should have told her about Meera before marriage itself... or when she came back to his life... but now it's too late... and it started to suffocate him that he is not being loyal to her... with Meera being in his life...he didn't cheat meera... as he married Geet after she left him for long time... but he is definitely cheating geet... but he couldn't send Meera just like that... and her condition is not even nice... she is not even ready to listen geet's name from his mouth... Meera is not even ready to leave him for couple of days... if he had to attend any conferences ... and it has become a daily routine for her to cry when he left the hospital for home...
Maan thought that it's better to divorce geet and free her from this relationship... as he is not the right person for her... he is a cheater ... as meera said... but towards geet... so it's better to relieve her from a person like him... and ... he didn't want to fall in Geets eyes... by being caught by her ... he himself will confess about meera and will free her...and as Meera said.. he can look after her... and settle her life...
Divorce papers were ready and Maan that day left hospital early to home... Geet was unusually calm ... Maan found it odd... but he didn't question her... he has a tough task ahead .. to convince geet for divorce...
Maan tried a couple of times but he failed... he was wondering how to break the news... he heard the bell... he went and opened the door... there stood his driver...
driver - Saab... yeh bhul gaye aap gadi mein... and he handed him a tiffin box...
Maan wondered ... yeh kab leke gaya main...
Maan - yeh kisne diya tumhe...
driver - ji... woh nurse didi ne diya... unhone kaha ki bhabhiji kal hospital aapke ke liye dinner leke aayi... aur waha chod diya aap ke liye...
Maan nodded... the driver left... leaving Maan in deep thoughts... if geet had come to hospital .. why she didn't meet him... and according to the nurse.. she came to hospital yesterday evening...
Maan slowly entered the room... and saw geet standing near the window and watching the moon... she was never like this...
Maan cleared his voice... Geet turned and saw him.. but said nothing... when Maan didn't say anything.. she said...
Geet - ji aap ko kuch chahiye...
Maan - haan... woh.. kal tum hospital aayi thi...
Geet stared at him and nodded...
Maan - toh mujhe kyun nahi mili...
Geet - aap busy the... kisi aur ke saath... she said looking down...
Maan understood... Geet had seen them... meera was emotional and he was just comforting her... but it's good ... now he can talk to her...
Maan - tum poochogi nahi woh kaun hain...
Geet didn't say anything... but stood there with her head down...
Maan - woh Meera hain... Meera rathod... woh mere saath collage mein padhte thi... aur hum dono ek doosre se pyar karte the... phir kuch anban ke kaaaran woh mujhe chodke apne ghar, America chali gayi... aur ab wapas aagayi hain... aur chahti hain ki main usse shaadi karu.. apni zindagi mein Shamil karoon...
Geet looked at him with tears in her eyes... but didn't say anything... Maan continued... aur main usse shadi nahi karsakte jab tak hamara divorce na hojaye... isliye mujhe divorce chahiye... aur maine papers bhi ready karwaya hain... bas tumhe sign karna hain...
Geet didn't say anything... her darji's words echoed in her ears..." dekho geet... Maan tumhe apni zindagi Shamil karr raha hain... ab tumhe hi inka kaha yak rakhna hain.. unki parchayi Bankar rehna hain... kabhi bhi shikayat ka mauka dena... agar woh teri jaan bhi manage toh Khushi Khushi dedena..."
Maan - sign karogi... he questioned... Geet thought... aap maangte toh meri jaan bhi dedeti... ek sign hi toh karna hain... main karoongi... and nodded... Maan gave her a pen... and showed her where to sign... Geet quietly signed...
Maan - main yeh papers submit karna doonga... thoda waqt lagega... divorce hone mein... tum tab tak yeh baat kisi ko mat batana.. dadi ko main bataoonga aur unhe mana loonga...
Maan turned and was about to leave... Geet asked... ji... he turned and looked at her... Geet with great difficulty asked... kya main isse pehen sakti hoon...t... ta...ta... talak ke baad bhi... and she showed him her Mangalsutre... Maan stared at her for a minute... he just nodded and left from there... Geet fell down on her knees crying clutching her Mangalsutre...
Maan And Geet behaved very well in front of dadi... she never doubted them... but in their room.. they were total strangers... Maan avoided geet as much as possible...
Maan has to leave for Mumbai for a medical conference and Meera accompanied him... they both stayed in one room... and dadi saw them who came there to attend a function... she was furious... as Maan was cheating on geet... but she didn't want to create a scene in front of strangers.. she kept quiet and left Mumbai without attending the function...
