And then Raman who had stopped living in a way got to know about Shaguns pregnancy and decided to live for his baby

Present

He sat on the bench silently shedding tears as she sobbed behind the trees. The two were away from everyone's gaze so they thought they could cry freely without being seen, but a pair of eyes had spotted both of them crying. Ruhi had seen Ishita walk away from Raman and seen how the two had been crying ever since. She left the playground and went over to dad. She sat on his lap and he turned away and wiped off his tear. She hugged him tightly and asked...

"Papa what happened?"

"Nothing beta...something just went into my eye."

She hugged him tighter and kissed his cheek.

"I know you're lying. It's okay if you don't tell me, it's an adult thing you are crying about right?"

He smiled at her adult like talks and they both laughed together as he tickled her and she tried to tickle him back in between her giggles.

"I quit Papa! I quit." She said raising her arms up high so he would finally stop. She looked at her father who was now smiling and asked him...

"Papa are you okay?"

Realizing this was her way of making him happy and help him forget what he was crying about, he smiled at her & felt grateful to God for sending her into his life. She managed to make him happy and reminded him that things happen for a reason. If that night, Ishita hadn't misunderstood him, Ruhi would have never come into his life. He lost his true love that day, but gotten this angel the very same day.

"I'm perfectly fine...thanks to you." He said as he kissed her cheek.

"Then I will be right back."

"Go ahead, go play with your friends."

She ran over to Ishita not before looking back when he wasn't looking to make sure he wasn't crying again. She stood in front of Ishita who had her head buried in between her knees. She tapped her shoulder making her look up and wipe away her tears.

"Ruhi? You're here?"

"Aunty what happened?"

"Nothing, actually...something went into my eyes."

"Even I don't make obvious excuses for my pranks, but these two only have one excuse." Ruhi mumbled to herself at seeing her dad & Ishita aunty acting similar.

"What did you say Ruhi?"

"Nothing Aunty, but why are you crying? Don't lie to me because I know you were crying."

She looked at the small child who was the only who sympathized with her, even though it was only because she didn't know what her father had to go through because of her. She looked closely at the little girl in front of her. She was visibly upset seeing her cry and genuinely wanted to help her through some of her innocent ways. Ishita could only look at the kid with tears in her eyes. She noticed Ruhi's looks for the properly for the first time. She had a peculiar resemble to Shagun. The mole on her upper lip and her eyes all reminded her of Shagun. Her tears fell down again as she thought of Shagun. Just like Raman, she had hurt Shagun so much.

Ruhi sat next to Ishita on the ground and wiped off her tears with her fingers. She looks like Shagun and acts like her as well, Ishita thought to herself. Ruhi's actions resembled Shagun so much that Ishita couldn't stop her tears and they continue to roll down her cheeks. Ishita continued to cry as she remembered the times with her best friend and how she was also someone who supported her and was there to listen to her problems.

Ruhi couldn't see her cry and didn't know what to do to get her to stop. She got up and ran back to her dad who was still sitting on the bench in deep thought as he pretended to look at his phone.

"Papa give me your hanky."

He looked up startled and then was confused knowing her weird demand.

"What happened? Why do you need it?"

"Offo Papa, please just give it."

He handed his handkerchief over to her and she ran off. Curious to know what she was up to, he slowly started to follow her, but was stopped by the ringing of his phone.

Ruhi was back next to Ishita and couldn't bear to see Ishita cry anymore.

"Please don't cry! It makes me sad."

She extended her hand and wiped her tears away. She signalled her to open her hand and placed his handkerchief into hers as she as her hands open.

Ishita couldn't help but to engulf her into a tight hug. She couldn't have felt more grateful to God to send this angel to her to give her some calm moments in her storm-filled life. Having the little girl in her arms stopped her tears and she just closed her eyes and smiled. Ruhi gave her biggest smile knowing she had managed to stop her crying.

"Thank you, thank you so much."

She said as she still hugged Ruhi, Raman came over to where the two were and was surprised to see the two with each other. He wanted to go grab Ruhi and take her as far away as possible and even stepped forward to separate the two. And then he stopped, but he himself didn't know why. Seeing the two together gave him some sort of peace. Ruhi's smile light up his world and if that meant her being with Ishita, then that's the way it would be. And for the first time since yesterday, he saw Ishita smile fully which sparked some unusually happiness in his heart. Seeing the two happy, his lips instinctively curved into a smile, until she looked up into his eyes.

Her tear struck face and her hopeful eyes; he just couldn't face them. He knew if he looked into her eyes, he would melt and only hurt himself further. When he turned around again, he had covered his true self with the veil of a cold man who didn't care for anyone.

"Ruhi..." he called out to his daughter.

"It's time to go home."

"But Papa-"

"Ruhi, I have an important video call to attend. Let's go for now." He said managing to suppress his anger for Ishita and trying to not show it towards his daughter for no fault of hers.

"Okay..." she agreed to go, but with a condition...

"Aunty come with us. We can walk home together. It will be fun."
