Note : An unusual longer update!

Arnav swirled the glass in his hand containing the golden liquid and some ice cubes. He let out a deep breath and kept the glass back on the counter. His back facing the crowd dancing madly and crazily on the dance floor.

Khushi's face flashed before his eyes, when she was staring at Dhruv's picture frame. It had slightly put his mood off. Is she not happy with them? Or she is missing her late husband very badly?

Or maybe he's just over thinking? Of course he is. How can she just totally forget her husband like nothing happened ever?

Arnav shook his head at where the train of his thoughts was going. Over thinking can really make you less sane.

Brushing the stupid thoughts away, Arnav turned around, a smile creeping up on his lips as he spotted his friends on the dance floor; Lavanya, Rajveer and NK and Sheetal in a corner.

They looked more insane than his train of thoughts.

Arnav wasn't a bad dancer but at the moment, he didn't feel like go and join the gang, adding up some more masti.

And that's when Lavanya and Arnav's eyes met. He passed a smile and Lavanya blushed under his gaze thinking the otherwise totally.

Squeezing herself, she made a way out of the crowd and rushed towards Arnav, grinning.

"Whoa-" Arnav exclaimed as he got a better look of Lavanya's disheveled state. Her hair was a mess due to continuous dancing and jumping.

"You girls don't look lesser than an old witch" he commented and looked around at others.

Lavanya pursed her lips and **** up her eyes, she punched hard on Arnav's chest.

"Oww" Arnav faked a cry and then chuckled finding her looking at him angrily.

"You guys are just jealous of us" she retorted and Arnav ****ed an eyebrow before speaking, "Seriously?"

Lavanya rolled her eyes but then letting it go, she suppressed a grin and looked at him.

"C'mon. Let's dance" she wound an arm around his elbow and jumped eagerly batting her eyelashes innocently.

Arnav chuckled and shook his head really not having a mood to show off some of his quite good dance steps.

"C'mon. You can't say Nooo" she cooed, trying to drag him but failing miserably as Arnav was rooted to his spot looking at her with a weird look, as she tried hard.

"Lavanya, I don't feel like. So don't force me" he said unwinding their arms and then suppressing a small smile.

Lavanya, huffed, dropping her hands to her sides.

"As you wish Arnav Singh Raizada, because I'm not going to ruin..." she bent her head forward. "My party because of you" she said poking a finger on his chest and then stepping back grinning at him.

"Oh-khay" Arnav muttered.

"I never said you" he yelled at her, as she moved back to dance floor.

"Yeess...but I'm gonna come back soon to you if you don't come here in few minutes" she yelled back, while moving back, sticking her tongue out at him.

Arnav smiled lightly and turned around again to face the counter, taking the glass containing the golden liquid in his hand back and running his finger on its rim. The rock music changed into a less rock one, with some drum beats and Arnav couldn't help but nod his head according to the drum beats, his fingers thrumming against the counter.

He looked beside him at an evidently crestfallen and unhappy Aakash who drew a deep breath and leaned his back against the counter, folding his arms.

Arnav kept staring at him, still thrumming his fingers and nodding his head, totally enjoying the music.

Aakash slowly turned his head towards him and glancing at him he looked away.

"Payal didn't come" he said in a wretched tone.

What's wrong with her? Is it all because of him? Why is she avoiding him? He was still a failure in understanding and getting the answers from her.

"Oh" Arnav could only say this and Aakash peered at him.

"That's why you look like...like summer with no mangoes" he added after a moment, thinking of a perfect example.

"I wish Bhabhi was here. At least she could have given some consolation unlike you Bhai" Aakash spoke, totally irritated.

Arnav chuckled hard and turned towards him.

"Whaat? Actually...you know. No...tell me, why are you after poor payal? Maybe she's just not interested in you as you are" Arnav said as if speaking a fact.

"Bhai you are breaking my heart into pieces" Aakash said and Arnav chuckled again.

"You know what...Bye" Aakash said, and loosening his tie a li'l aggressively, he left from there.

Here, he's feeling so miserable and all his brother can do is laugh at his predicament.

"What the...Aakash??" Arnav called out but he just left.

Arnav shook his head with a small amusing smile and followed him out. Love really makes you insane...more than Arnav's train of thoughts!

*

"Aakash. Wait. At least hear me out" Arnav called him out again, once they entered inside the mansion.

They had driven back to the mansion leaving their farewell party in the middle. Arnav had no such intention to leave the party in amidst but finding Aakash in a foul mood and thinking that maybe he just crossed the limits and has really kind of hurt Aakash's sentiments, he just followed him.

"Bhai. I'm really tired. Can we talk tomorrow?" Aakash requested in a polite tone, his anger forgotten.

"But Aakash-" Arnav pressed a hand on his shoulders. They were near the main door.

"Bhai I'm sorry. You aren't at fault. I think I'm kind of over reacting" he said glaring down at the floor. Maybe he is really!

Arnav sighed and patted his back.

"Good night" Arnav said with a smile, his coat hanging loose on his back.

"Good night" Aakash smiled back softly but the smile not reaching his eyes and left, jumping up the stairs.

Arnav stared at his back with a sigh.

"Why do even people fall in love?" Arnav muttered, after seeing Aakash's condition.

He shook his head, turning around and his gaze fell on Khushi who was sitting by the poolside all alone, staring up at the sky.

"Bhabhi" he whispered and squinted his eyes to see clearly.

He was surprised to see her wide awake as everybody else was in the mansion drowned in deep sleep...except her. A very small but confused smile adorned his lips as he stared at her.

*

Khushi was staring at the bare sky above her with fascination, a small smile adorning her lips too just like the in-numerous stars twinkling and adorning the black carpet.

Unlike others, she wasn't able to get some sleep and so she was here...her legs dipped in the pool water and her head tilted up.

Being alone and gazing at the stars always made her feel close to her parents because Bua Ji has always said her that, people after dying become stars, twinkling every now and then...making us feel their presence.

Khushi sighed and rubbed her arms, it was quite chill outside but she didn't have a heart to just go and sleep missing such a full of peace atmosphere.

She turned her head back and stopped swinging her legs in the water, when she heard footsteps nearing her.

"Arnav" she whispered.

Confusion written over her face as Arnav reached her, two hot steaming mugs of coffee in his hands.

"You're early. Weren't you supposed to be in your farewell party?" she asked.

"Coffee? Arnav questioned back with a smile, ****ing his eyebrow.

Khushi smiled back, and looked at him and then at the hot steaming coffee in the mug in his hand, the wisps coming from it rose in the air, tempting her. Not a bad idea. She was already feeling cold and a cup of hot steaming coffee is enough to spread warmth in her body.

He handed her the mug and sat down beside her, dipping his legs in the pool too, their arms brushing while Khushi sipped from the mug and let out a contented sigh.

"Yes..i'm early. Actually we're early" he replied to her earlier asked question making her smile.

"And now you can ask me why?" he added, sipping.

"Why?" Khushi asked.

"Payal hadn't come to attend the party putting Aakash's mood off and I was really not kind of enjoying much so I just followed him though I didn't have an intention to leave the party" he said.

"Payal didn't come but why?" Khushi asked.

"No one knows" he said and Khushi pursed her lips feeling out of sorts of Aakash.

"Poor he...must be really depressed. Where is he?" Khushi asked about him.

"In his room. He wanted to sleep" he said and Khushi nodded slowly.

"I wish I could do something for him" Khushi muttered looking down.

"Huhn.." Arnav chuckled.

"Bhabhi...you saw Aakash, he tried right? Maybe...maybe it's just that Payal is not really interested in Aakash as you all think" Arnav said.

"No. It can't be." said Khushi placing the coffee mug in the little space between them.

"And why?" he asked.

"Because I've seen the love in her eyes for Aakash with my own eyes" she said and Arnav tried to control his chuckle.

"How Bhabhi?" he asked amused.

It's difficult. Isn't? How can one read someone's eyes...maybe it's just something else and not love and how one can be sure?

"I've seen it Arnav and I think...there's-there's something restricting her from showing off her emotions which she feels for Aakash. I really think that..." she fully turned her upper body towards Arnav.

"There must be a story behind Payal's reluctance and hesitancy. I'm very sure now Arnav" she said and he smiled.

"Story? Seriously? Be practical Bhabhi" he said and Khushi pursed her lips turning away from him.

"I am being one and I know she loves Aakash too" Khushi smiled wide and Arnav just stared at her.

"...I think we need to do something else and then execute it quite well. I've to think of something soon before Aakash gets really depressed" she said making a pondering face.

"Why are you smiling like this?" Khushi asked narrowing her gaze at him.

Arnav shook his head and looked away chuckling.

"You can ask me if you needed help" he said sipping from the mug.

Khushi nodded with a small smile realizing now the reason of his smile. He's finding all this ****. But but but...if he's unromantic with poor Lavanya...that's not her's or Aakash's fault.

We can be a little filmy sometimes to solve some problems. Can't we?

Suddenly silence fell between them except the sound of sipping liquid occasionally and the sound of the ripples in the pool water whenever they swung their legs...the silence wasn't uncomfortable but peaceful.

"So...finally. You are graduated. Congratz. What are your plans now?" Khushi asked moments of silence later, starting a conversation, the coffee mug in her both hands.

Arnav finished his coffee and keeping the mug aside, he turned towards her.

"Umm...No big plans yet. I'm just going to join AR Corps. as soon as possible. I have already talked with Aman" he said with a smile and the excitement was obvious the way he sounded.

"Aman?" Khushi confusedly looked at him.

"Yep. Aman Mathur. He was Bhai's PA. A very very loyal man and he's the one who is handling everything now" he said and Khushi quickly remembered the time, when Aman Mathur had come to her asking her to evacuate their colony. Realization dawning upon her.

"Oh" she could only exclaim this much.

"Well, I don't want to burden the poor little creature anymore. After Bhai it's my responsibility to take up the business"

"Yeah, you're right" she smiled a small smile at him.

Arnav drew a deep breath before speaking up.

"I really want to take AR Corps to a new height.." he said, "Just what Bhai always wanted. You know it was his dream to make AR an international company and now I really want to make this dream of his come true. I'll work very hard to achieve this success" he said, staring up at nothing, a small smile on his face...and his voice seemed distant.

The dream of his brother now seemed his own dream...because of the way he said. But Khushi's face fell on Dhruv's mention and moreover seeing the love and respect in Arnav's eyes for his brother who was actually a dreadful monster.

How skillfully, he had masked his true identity from them and then suddenly Khushi felt dejected...what if they come to know about Dhruv's real face? Would they believe her or not? They wouldn't...of course!

But even if they will...they are going to very much heart-broken. Khushi sighed. Maybe it's better to hide the truth from them or bury it inside her forever.

She doesn't want such nice and kind people to be down-hearted or sorrowful or hate her ever.

"Well...leave about me. Tell me about you Bhabhi. You never told me much about yourself. I mean except the basics. How much you have studied?" he asked and Khushi, nudging away her thoughts for a while turned her attention towards Arnav and smiled at him.

"Urm...I have a 2-year associate degree in Business Fashion Designing" she said and Arnav stared at her with surprise.

"Seriously?" he asked and Khushi nodded with an uncertain smile.

"Wow. That's great...I mean you could have done bachelors or masters?" he asked and Khushi opened her mouth to speak but stopped.

Now what should she say? That she did have many plans regarding her future but that monster had some utterly different and other plans.

"Umm..yeah but.." she trailed silent.

"You know you can be very beneficial to AR.." he said and Khushi broke into a chuckle.

"Me? No way. My Bua Ji used to have a sweet shop called Swastik Nishtar Bhandar. I would use to help her there a lot. I have never worked before. I don't even have any experience" she spoke, totally amused by Arnav's words.

"No Bhabhi. I'm seriously serious. You can get experienced here in AR. It would be great" he said and Khushi shook her head, dismissing the idea.

She knows very well...everyone will think of her otherwise, that now after eating the Raizada son, she even wants to take over their business and she wasn't really in a mood of giving others a hot topic to gossip.

"Not now Arnav" she said and Arnav sighed with a small smile.

"Ok but you can at least think about it some other time. Right?" he asked and Khushi chuckled.

"I'll see" she muttered swinging her legs.

Arnav glanced at her and seeing her smiling, he smiled wide shaking his head.

*

Everyone was at the breakfast table having their fill of morning. Khushi and Anjali stood beside Shyam who was sat on the chair, finishing everything ASAP so he could leave. Anjali's gaze fell on Aakash who was unusually quiet. Not that he blabbers or talks much but there was something unusual about him...he looked dull and didn't have that exclusive glow making her worry.

"Why does Aakash look so sad?" she asked in a small voice and Khushi looked up at Anjali and then at Aakash.

"What's wrong with him?" she muttered.

"Woh...Actually yesterday..." Khushi trailed silent confused of whether to speak or not.

"Did something happen yesterday? I don't know. I was so tired and was in my room" she said softly getting concerned for her brother.

"Actually Di...Aakash is upset because of Payal. Nothing's well between them and Payal didn't even attend the farewell party last night making Aakash more than sad he already is...I don't know what's troubling Payal" she said in a whisper.

Anjali glanced at her brother and sighed.

"But I think...they like each other. Payal and Aakash? Isn't?" she said and Khushi nodded.

"Yes they do..i do think so" she muttered.

"But you don't worry. I'll surely do something so that they clear out everything between them" she said and Anjali passed her a smile.

"Rani Sahiba...why are you still standing? I can't complete eating these Chapattis alone. You have to help me" Shyam said and Anjali made a face before sitting beside him.

That's when Arnav entered inside after his jog and now rushed towards the breakfast table.

"Good Morning everyone" he spoke and everyone greeted back.

Arnav glanced at Aakash and the moment their eyes met, he smiled mischievously at him and gestured him through eyes to peek at his back pant pockets.

Aakash narrowed his eyes and looked away thinking that it was another way of making fun of him.

Khushi confusedly looked to and from and ****ed an eyebrow at him who in reply grinned at her and pointed at his pants pockets but they were oblivious of Manorma's soul-scorching gaze on them.

*

"What's this?" asked Khushi.

"4 passes" he said laying them down on the table.

"For what?" asked Aakash.

Arnav looked up at Aakash from his sitting position.

"This is for you my brother" he said putting them back in his pockets.

"But why?" he questioned.

"Kyun itne questions kar rahe ho mere bhai?" Aakash sighed.

"Okay fine. I got these passes for free but don't ask me from where...it's a long story but basically by these passes we can have access to the Grand Full Moon Party which is going to be held tonight at 8.00 at Victory Valley Block" He grinned and wiggled his eyebrows.

"Kaissa?" he asked, totally awed by his idea.

"But...but Arnav, it...would be like some very uninvited and unwanted guests" Khushi spoke.

"Who said? We have these passes right. That means we are invited and absolutely not unwanted. And furthermore, it would be fun" he said and shrugged.

"But..."

"No buts and ifs please. Don't let my hard work go in vain Aakash. I did this for you because you think that every time I make only make fun of you but in fact..i really care for you" Arnav said standing up and placing a hand on his shoulders while Aakash just stared at him.

"Look, you can bring Payal there and can try to clear out all the misunderstandings between you two. Try it as a one more chance" said Arnav making Aakash ponder over this.

"4 passes, so you and Payal and me and Bhabhi" said Arnav.

"Whaa...me? What will I do there?" Khushi spoke up totally startled by what Arnav said.

"What do you mean Bhabhi? Only couples are invited...so it's Payal and Aakash and you and me" he said and for a second Khushi just stared at him.

Did he realize what he said?

"You can take Lavanya with you-" but she was cut off by Aakash.

"No Bhabhi, you have to come and please do this for me. It's only you who can really advise me good at the difficult time" he said and Arnav peered at Aakash.

"It's me who brought these passes. At least give me some credit man" Arnav said stretching his arms.

Khushi chuckled and shook her head.

"It's final. Me and Payal and Bhabhi and Bhai. Bhabhi please be ready at 8 today" Aakash spoke.

"I'll leave, I have to think of doing something special for her" Aakash smiled for the first time after yesterday night and left leaving Khushi baffled.

Arnav has zero interest in Lavanya. How does she and everyone else not see it? He'd rather take his bhabi to a couples party than her 😆. I'm gonna feel bad for Lav so hopefully she finds out that he just sees her as a good friend.

I really like Arnav's and Khushi's bond. Curious to know what'll happen at the party. Continue soon and thanks for the PM.
