Azaan ends the call and turns to the judge. "Sir, Mrs. Kabir Khan has acquired the maafi nama" Kabir is...shocked? Azaan continues, "but because the trip is long, it might take her some time to get here. I request the court, to postpone the decision of this care for until tomorrow." The judge says, "If the maafi nama has been acquired, then we don't mind waiting till tomorrow." Azaan says, "Thank you, but I have another request. The mother of the defendant is very sick, and she wants to meet her son. I request the court to let the defendant out for one day on bail"
The judge lets Kabir leave for 24 hours, on the deal that he cant leave the country during this time. Azaan smiles, "Thank God, now, I can at least show my face to mom." They take leave and arrive at the hospital. When Zareen aunty sees Kabir, she takes off her oxygen mask out of excitement. Kabir quickly runs to her. "Ammi what are you going?" Zareen aunty says, "You're here son, I don't need any medicine now" Mazhar and Mr. Khan come in. Mr. Khan says, "See son, what happened to your mom without you?"
Kabir says, "I am ammi's nalaiyak son, I cant give anything except pain." Zareen aunty goes, "no son, who said you are nalaiyak? You are my best son" Kabir smiles then excuses himself to get coffee for Zareen aunty. He actually just goes out of the room and leans against the wall, silently crying. His dad comes out, and shocked to see him crying, asks why he is crying. Kabir says, "Dad, whatever the decision of the court is, I want to spend the last moments of my life enjoying and having fun with my family. And I also have a request. I don't want anyone to mention my court hearing in front of mom. And promise me, that after my death--"
Mr. Khan holds up his finger, "Stop, not another word! You want a promise from us to be laughing and smiling, and you yourself are talking about such crying things?" He turns Kabir to face him. "Kabir, if even one of the prayers I have been doing my life has been accepted, then nothing will happen to you son. Nothing will happen to you." Afreen hands the maafi nama to Sameera bi who takes it, and staring at Afreen, rips it into pieces.
Afreen cries and screams, "what are you doing?!" She gets on her knees and picks up every piece of paper. Sameera bi says, "Instead of picking up the pieces of this paper, its better that you go and look at your husband one last time, so you can remember how Kabir looked before dying. Your are lucky that Allah gave you this chance, I wasn't even lucky enough to be able to see my husband's face for the last time." They just stare at each other for some time, and then Sameera bi goes inside her house and shuts the door on Afreen's face.
Afreen turns around and thinks, "How will I go to ammi now? What will I tell abbu? That I came back empty-handed? I have broken everyone's trust now. I couldn't do anything. Now how will I go to that house…where Kabir isn't present." *Some vash nahi chalda taqdeer song is playing, sorry didn't get the words right* Afreen is standing outside Khan house when we hear voices. Khala goes, "ay Kabir putthar first you spend so much time cooking the biryani and now you are taking so much time in feeding it." Kabir is smiling while serving food to everyone.
Khala goes, "Kabir son you cant make better-tasting biryani than mine." Kabir goes, "accha, how can you say that?" Khala goes, "haath kandan ko aarsi kya aur paray likhay ko farsi kiya. Everyone start by saying Bismillah then we will see who makes better biryani." Mazhar and Salman agree and they all clap. Afreen enters looking down, but looks up when Kabir says, "mmmm, what a biryani you made Kabir!" Naz looks at him and makes a sign saying its great, and Azaan and Mr. Khan do the same. Afreen is happy to see Kabir. Kabir goes, "waise dad, have you ever made biryani like this?"
Mr. Khan goes, "the year nineteen hundred and sixty--" and he starts thinking while everyone smiles. Afreen says, "Kabir" Naz and Nadira make faces, Azaan just kind of smiles, and Mr. Khan welcomes her with a broad smile. Kabir gets up and goes to Afreen, "arrey Afreen! Its good that you came, or else all the biryani would be finished. Um Naz, get up and let your bhabijaan sit" Naz makes a face. Naz angrily gets up thinking, "the enemy of my happiness has arrived" She gets up and leaves from there, and Azaan looks at this, not liking it at all.
Khala goes, "arrey Afreen, come sit dear, taste biryani made my a man." Afreen just briefly looks at Kabir, then takes a seat. Kabir sits down next to her. Afreen asks what happened to the case. Mr. Khan tells her that Azaan took a 24 hour leave for Kabir. Afreen looks at Azaan and thanks him, and he just goes, "what happened to the maafi nama?" Afreen goes, "Azaan, um, I met with Sameera bi about that--" Azaan cuts in, "and after getting hamdardi you came back, right?" Kabir cuts in, "Azaan, Afreen, you two promised me that no one will talk about this. And if you want to talk, then talka bout my biryani, what say dad?"
The dad just fake smiles and goes, "yea yea". Kabir takes some in his spoon and gives it to biryani, "here Afreen, take this" Afreen says I am not hungry. He says, "no you have to eat, this is the first time after marriage that I have made something, and who knows, I probably wont even get a chance ever again" Everyone is upset at this. Afreen just gets up and leaves from there. Kabir calls after her, and then turns around and looks at all the angry/upset family members. He apologizes and then goes after Afreen.
In their room, Afreen is sitting on the bed crying. Kabir stares at her from the doorway for some time, then clears his throat and starts talking to the mirror, "Kabir, how many times have I told you that you have such a beautiful wife stop worrying her, stop worrying her, but no, you made her cry na? Tears are coming out of her eyes! Now go, and apologize to her by holding your ears, and promise her that you will never do this again, wont make her cry. Go!" He barks at the mirror, "Go!" and then makes a scared face and turns around, facing Afreen. "Afreen, please forgive me"
Afreen lashes out at him, "Stop! That's it!" (I'm divorcing you! Lol jk jk!) "Stop your acting" Kabir goes, "but I am really very sorry Afreen" Afreen asks, "Why? Why are you sorry?" Kabir says, "because I hurt you" Afreen goes, "so what's new about that? This is your habit!" Kabir goes, "Not habit but majboori, I cant see tears in anyone's eyes" Afreen turns around, "I feel like clapping for you. The one who gave tears to everyone, is saying today that he cant see tears in anyone's eyes?" Kabir goes, "your anger is acceptable Afreen, I am everyone's punisher, probably yours the most."
Afreen says, "why Kabir? Why did you do this?" Kabir says, "Believe me, I never do anything without reason. Believe me, whatever I did, the whole house's good was in it." Afreen says, "and where does my good lie?" Kabir walks past her, "I wish I could tell you. I don't have the answer to this question of yours. Just take it like this… maybe our journey was just for until here." Afreen turns around, "not so soon Kabir. You wont be able to separate yourself from me so soon. Allah wants us together, and I will do anything to save you. Then what position does this world and court hold. " *Tose Naina Laage plays and they hug* *flashbacks of the fire hugging scene*
Azaan is sitting in his room with a book in his hand, typing away on his laptop. Masooma knocks and tells him she has to tell him something. He tells her he is busy. She says, "Kabir bhai did not kill Shabbir chacha" Azaan looks up shocked. We see Razia khala behind Masooma, she quickly comes in, "arrey this is nothing new we all know that Kabir is innocent. Why are you wasting your brothers time? Let him work, you come with me" Masooma tries to talk but Razia doesn't let her. She looks at Azaan and tells him, "Poor girl is scared, she misses Kabir so much that she even talks nonsense in her dreams. I'm scared, might have to show her to the doctor." She forces her out of the room telling Azaan to continue with his work.
Azaan just stares the whole time. Razia pushes Masooma onto her bed. "What the heck were you doing?" Masooma angrily turns to her, "to tell the truth!" Razia goes, "I will pull your tongue out of your mouth if you even try to tell the truth." Masooma gets up, "why shouldn't I tell the truth? I should let my innocent brother die?" Razia shakes her, "let Kabir die!" Masooma is shocked. Razia continues, "And remember, if Kabir dies in order to save this house's reputation, then let it happen." Masooma shakes her, "you are so selfish, if it were your own son besides Kabir, then would you still tell me to stay quiet"
Razia cries, "Yes. You wouldn't know how much I love Kabir. He grew up in my arms, I love him a lot. But its true, when reputation comes in the way, mothers have given up their sons. And yes, if it would've been my biological son instead of Kabir, then these tears that you see in my eyes wouldn't be here. I would've let my son die happily" Masooma goes, "but I am not selfish like you! I cant take it anymore! I will go crazy!" Razia shakes her, "Look Masooma, all these days, I have tolerated this behavior for you because I have thought myself responsible for it, but I wont tolerate it this time. And I swear to God, by my hands I will kill you. So do what I am saying" With that she leaves.
Afreen and Kabir are in the front yard, and Kabir ties a cloth around Afreen's eyes and turns her around, running away from her. Afreen tells Kabir to stop it and takes off the cloth to find no one there. She screams when she sees Kabir standing on top of the house, waving at her smilingly and then falling. *Tose Naina Laage instrumental plays* She gets up from her dream and screams for Kabir. She screams out a bit more but doesn't find him. She runs out of the room, and Azaan and Mr. Khan come running to her. Zareen aunty comes too and asks what happened.
She screams, "mummy Kabir left me, Kabir, mummy!" Zareen aunty goes, "don't worry, he must be around the house" Afreen says, "no mom he isn't anywhere in the house" Mr. Khan asks Azaan if he knows where Kabir is and Azaan says he doesn't. Mr. Khan calls Kabir while Zareen aunty tries to calm Afreen down. They hear Kabir calling Afreen from downstairs. All run down to him. Mr. Khan angrily asks him where he had gone. Kabir replies, "jogging" Kabir goes, "why, did you guys think something happened to me? Don't worry dad! I'm not gonna leave you guys so easily"
Azaan screams, "stop bhaijaan! that's it! There is a limit of joking! A mother, whose heart is bleeding tears, but she's smiling, because its her son's wish. A father, whose arms are breaking from the fear that Allah shall not put such a weight on it that will break his back, and a wife, who is going though all of Rajistan not wanting raeth to fill her life, and siblings, all not wanting their sweet brother to get separated from them. And there sweet brother, that husband, that son, what is he doing? Making fun of everyone? I don't know how this emotion came in you, but tell us what will happen to us after you?" With that, he leaves from there.
Kabir looks at his dad and starts to speak, but his dad stops him with his hand and leaves. He looks to his mom, but she leaves as well. He finally turns to Afreen, who also leaves from there. Azaan is in his room angrily playing with a soccer ball. Kabir comes in and says, "you are really angry at me? Wont even talk to me?" He takes the ball from him. "That's it, your hands will hurt." Azaan goes, "your worried about my hands hurting, but you have no feeling about how my heart is bursting from fear"
"of what?" Kabir asks. "Of your behavior" Azaan replies. Kabir goes, "Behavior is a mirror of circumstances, not emotions. And I am doing what I should be doing under these circumstances." Azaan goes sarcastically, "wow, what a view you have" Kabir goes, "to understand my view, you have to look at yourself through my eyes" He throws the ball down. "Come here" he says, taking Azaan to the mirror. "I want you to become Kabir now" Azaan goes, "bhaijaan?!" Kabir goes, "Azaan, just listen. don't speak. My death will put more responsibilities on your shoulders, and I don't want you to drown in sadness and disappear. But I want you to come in form of me, and let everyone realize that I am with everyone in the form of you."
Azaan goes, "That's it bhaijaan. The strength of pain makes a person gusthak, and I don't want to do any ghustaki, I am your shadow and I will always stay this way" Kabir goes, "Azaan please, don't make my death more difficult. Promise me-" Azaan interrupts- "No bhaijaan! I will not make any promises! Remember, this mirror will stay here, and so will this shadow, in every way, one every account." He leaves from there. Kabir thinks, only lucky people get such a loving brother like you Azaan.
Afreen once again goes to Sameera bi's house, this time its her husband's house. The guard lets Afreen in. She enters the house and looks for Sameera bi, but doesn't find her. She opens a door and enters, what seems like the dining room. She gets a flashback of the body that she saw laying there, and shudders. Tears start coming out of her eyes, and as she walks forward, she drops a file. She quickly wipes her tears and bends down to pick up the file. There, her eyes catch a blue ear ring on the floor.

By the way, how come Afreen found this ear ring. Since it was a murder, shouldn't there have been an investigation, shouldn't the cops have looked around? :S
