Reports say that the production house wishes to see Amitabh Bachchan in Balraj Sahni's role, with Akshay Kumar in Raaj Kumar's role and Varun Dhawan would reprise Shashi Kapoor.Yash Chopra's 1965 cult classic Waqt', but based on the present times. And for this, they also have begun looking for actors for the perfect cast.

Nice movie bt dnt knw if varun should do it coz I think it would be 4 in a row where his movies would be multi starrers. Abcd, the jacky and john 1, srk-kajol 1 and than this 1. Bt if he does this 1 nice character

nooo please.. don't ruin these movies... what has happened to bollywood? :/ the story won't resonate at all no matter what changes they make..

What a joke. This is neither financially viable, neither can they put it together, nor are actors keen to remake classics.

I don't think Waqt can resonate in these times, even if they tweak the story.

Films of a certain period should be left to that period only.

The only thing interesting about this project is if they do a good modern version of the "Aage bhi jaane na tu" which in my opinion is the best song from the Waqt music score. Don't know why everyone's fascinated with the Zohra jabeen song which anyway sounds a lot better as a rabaab instrumental.
