After quitting One Direction, Zayn Malik has been one of the most sought after stars in the UK.
According to reports today, Gurinder Chadha is considering a role for the heartthrob in one of her upcoming flms.
Chadha told The Mirror, "We've met and spoken. He trained as an actor first then became part of the band. So I think what he'll be doing is staying true to his heart - and that's all you can ever do."
However, the filmmaker, known for Bend It Like Beckham' and Bride and Prejudice' added, "I don't have a part in mind for Zayn just yet but hopefully in the future."
Malik made his first public outing at Friday night's Asian Media Awards, since leaving the music band. A selfie picture, which also featured Shah Rukh Khan, has gone viral.
