Television actress Sakshi Tanwar was recently in Jaipur to promote her show Code Red, an ongoing series that talks about atrocities on women and children.
I always travel by road when visiting Alwar, taking in the beauty of the countryside. Rajasthan has always inspired me for its natural beauty and rich history . I have grown up internalising the state's ethos. I feel proud to be a Rajasthani," says the actress with her trademark smile.
Sakshi admits that being an actor, it is easier to raise one's voice for a cause through such shows since lot of people are watching it. At the same time, the actress feels that the success and popularity of the show has more to do with its content and not because she is hosting it.
"Even if the show had someone else as the anchor, it would have had the same impact. People like it because they connect with every episode. I feel good when people come to me and share their candid views about the programme," she says. An avid book lover, Sakshi loves coming up with new concepts, the way she did in the past. "Sometime back, I conceptualized a show for a friend aired on the national channel. If something similar comes up, I am game," she says.
