Chapter 5
Passing furiously through the corridors, Taani slammed opened the door
"What the hell Rithvik!! Ye kya bakwas chappa hai newspaper pe?"
"Taani" he walked towards her all relaxed as if nothing huge really happened, "Calm down, ye articles and all ko itna seriously mat lo! Its just for the hype"
"Hype? Mere bare mein aisi stupid comment karke aye ho tum and you call it hype?"
Rithvik placed his hands on her shoulder, "Ye humari next film ki promotion ke liye acha hoga! Log curious honge humari chemistry ko leke. People believed what I said and so they will be excited for us being together.I was just trying to help our film"
Shrugging off his hand Taani nodded her head, "I quit"
"you what?"
"Main ye film nai kar rahi hu. Main abhi jake producers aur manager se ye keh dungi ki muje ye film nai karni aur mere career me kabhi bhi Rithvik ke saath koi bhi film nai karni"
Saying that Taani stormed out of her room leaving Rithvik shocked and surprised.

Sitting on the edge of terrace she wiped her tears as she thought about the whole scenario that just happened.
"Tume bhi yahi lagta hai ki... Main aur Rithvik..."
She stopped as Rey sat down next to her leaving his legs dangling in the air, "logo ki baato ko itna seriously mat lo, ye media wale...this is their job aur"
" Their job?" she looked at him all shocked and angry, "mere life ke bare mein kuch bhi likna unka job hai?"
He shut his eyes and took a deep breath in and looked at her with a smile, "As long as tumhare dost, tumhare family tume samajti hai... media ke bare mein itna mat socho"
"Wahi toh problem hai!" with a stuturing voice she began to continue, "meri mom khud Rithvik pe zyada trust karti hai"
He looked at Taani as a tear rolled down her cheek; they stared at each other for few minutes. He gulped and blinked several times as he placed his hand over hers. Taani looked at him and then at their hands again, giving him a sad smile she grabbed his hand.
"Life mein kuch bhi ho," Rey began to speak his heart out, "Tumhara ye fan humesha tumhe support karega"
Taani smiled as she sniffed in and wiped her tears, "Thanks"
she felt grateful for him being there for her. She needed someone now, needed some support, someone to understand her and his presence made her feel that now she got what she wanted the most.
" By the way tum yaha mere saath reherse karne aye the right?" she asked in a sad tone.
Rey smiled and nodded his head.
Taking a deep breath in she continued, "Par ab koi faida nai. Maine film quit kar di"
Shocked and surprised Rey stood up, "pagal ho gai ho kya? Pankaj Mahat ki film quit kar rahi ho tum? Wo bhi ek rumor ke wajah se? aise roz rumors ayenge Miss Taani Superstar!! Har film quit karogi?"
Taani stared silently at him and then folded her arms across her chest and glanced at the city below her. Rey took a deep breath out as he began talking, "Taani tume in sabki adadt lagegi. Log padenge tumhare bare mein kuch dino bad bhul jayenge. Jaise hum bhul jate hai dusre rumors ke bare mein. Aur ye toh kuch bhi nai hai, isse bade bade rumors phelne wale hai tumhare bare mein. Just wait and watch."
"Tum samjha rahe ho ya dara rahe ho?"
Rey giggled at her cute antics, "Sirf bata raha hu Miss. Superstar. Ek fan ka advise hai, rakhlo, bohot kaam ayega" They stayed quiet for few minutes when Rey decided to speak up, "Ab jake Rithvik se kaho ki tum uski tarah unprofessional nai ho. Commit kia hai toh end tak rahogi, chahe beech mein kuch bhi ho jaye. Okay?"
Taani forcefully but gracefully smiled and nodded her head. Out of all people now his advise made sense to her. Mainly because everyone around her had some or the other profit from being with her, but Rey, with him it was different. His relationship with her had nothing to do with profit or gain. He wanted nothing from her, only thing he wanted was that Taani should be successful in her life.

Next day,
Taani walked out of the her room and smiled at Sam who looked a bit stressed.
"Sam! Busy schedule mera hai but tum itna stressed kyu ho?" she giggled as she picked up a slice of an apple.
Samentha just stared at Taani as she opened and closed her mouth several times trying to speak. Finally giving up Sam walked towards Taani and kept the paper on the desk.
Taani stopped munching and glanced at Sam and the newspaper, calmly she replied, " Sam! Ab kya chap dia?"
Sam cleared her throat and opened the paper for her,
"Taani Shikhawat..." She stopped and glanced at Taani who was busy staring at the apple, "Taani Shikhawat cheating on Rithvik, Caught flirting with other guy!"
Sam couldn't even finish reading when Taani began coughing as she just got choked. Dropping the paper Sam rushed near Taani and gave her some water. Taking a huge sip in she stared at the paper from far.
"Taani I'm so sorry pata nai kyu sab tumhare piche pade hai"
Without listening any further Taani stood up and grabbed the paper.
"When it comes to bollywood, you are guaranteed a lot of drama. But a recent report, claiming that Taani Shikhawat cheating on Rithvik took it to whole another level. Sometimes its hard to stay faithful when you're a famous celebrity! Well, this young lady is giving Rithvik a taste of his own medicine. Now that he has broken many hearts in the past,Lets see how he deals with his own heartbreak!"
Sam just stared at her as she began to giggle after finishing the article.
"Taani?" confused Sam walked towards Taani and grabbed her arms, "Ye koun ladka hai tumhare saath iss picture mein?Uska chehra nai dikh raha sirf pitt ayi hai pictures mein."
Taani glanced at the paper and at the un-clear pic and smiled at it. She was about to answer Sam when Mrs.Avantika stormed in her room,
"What is wrong with you Taani?Kal ke newspaper mein Rithvik ke saath hatho me haath dal ke ghum rai thi. Ab ye koun hai jiske saath tum terrace pe hath pakadke baithi ho?"
Taani rolled her eyes, "None of your concern"
"Are you serious?" Avantika grabbed Taani's arms, "Tumhe pata bhi hai tum kar kya rahi ho? Apne image ka value hai tumhe? Industry ko koi Casanova nai chaiye Taani. Apni izzat sambhalo, tabhi log tumhe yaha izzat denge"
Taking a deep breath in Taani shrugged her hands off as Avantika continued, "Limelight pe rehna buri baat nai hai Taani, but not for such reasons. Aise ulti seedi baatein chapengi toh producers tumhe sign karne se pehle 10 baar sochenge. tumhara career start hone se pehle hi khatam ho jayega you fool!"
Taani shut her eyes as she began giggling, "ab samaj mein aya wo apko over acting queen kyu bulata hai!"
"Taani!" Avantika yelled trying to get her focus. Taking a few breaths in to calm down she held Taani's shoulder, "Kal tumhare new film ke wajah se press conference hai, media tumhe iss ladke ke bare mein puchegi. Tumhe kuch bolne ki zarurat nai hai. Main sab kuch sambhalungi. Samjhi?"
Standing opposite her strong headed mother Taani felt she isn't strong enough to fight. Taking a deep breath in she looked at Sam and stormed inside her room.
