Everything in the show was going fine at least for me till Neil's version of Flashback came up.
The story that we was introduced with was of Ragini and Neil with their kids who have been living separated for 15 years. Reasons were not told back then yet we believed that something huge must have caused both of them in taking the harsh decision in going for a divorce.

We saw how Nishi didn't like Ragini's controlling methods and was missing her dad and tried calling him to India. As fate has it, Neil comes to India for an operation and his car accidents Nishi's bike. And from there, Neil learns that Nishi is his daughter. Neil also thought that Ragini had moved on assuming Dr Aman is her husband. As Nishi's wedding preparation takes place, we saw how both Neil and Ragini slowly buried their hatred for each another and started rekindling their love.

That was a beautiful and subtle progression shown in both of them that they have not moved on from where they left. Then came the flashback that made us all cringed. Storywise it was acceptable but not the loopholes shown in the show. No father, a dadaji appeared instead and no Pam. We always believed that Pam could have played a role in making them go apart but it was the differences between Neil and Ragini itself that made them drifted apart.

We may love Ragini and Neil as a character but everyone are after all normal humans with feelings. One does not react the same all the time. Sometimes, time and situation plays a role too. Looking at it in a neural point of view, the situation which took place was acceptable after all. Neil used to flirt and while seeing Neil with his ex flame and this time pregnant too, Ragini didn't think of investigating first before deciding. Though this is not Ragini's usual behavior, the situation made her react in such way. Neil too making a promise to Roopali is not able to reveal the truth. At times when you have not done anything wrong and when a person pushes it far that you have indeed made a mistake, in anger, you may tend to let a person think what they want instead of trying to convince them. That was the case here.

So if we are to blame, we are to blame both Neil and Ragini for not understanding each another enough and for making decisions in vast. They had only thought of that that moment instead of the future. This happens in real life as well. The basic ingredient in a successful marriage is understanding and trust. When that is out, then cracks starts to surface. Though we wished that their relationship was not easy to break for a mis-understanding but such mis-understanding have broken many marriages in real life. For example, even Nishi went against all the odds to get married but she have started having mis-understanding with Jignesh. So no relationship is perfect.

I would still say that i wished there were more of Neil-Ragini's happy moments in the past shown, but the show is not ruined. It faced a setback and i do believe its on track again. Pam and Nivedita making use of the situation to play their game. Agam and Suhani planning to re-unite Neil and Ragini. Ranbir hates Ragini while Aarav wants to start a business. Nishi having her own problem adjusting with the married life. The show is still within its storyline and have not gone out of track in my opinion. Husband and wife may go separate but not parents. It was that 'parent's duty that brought them back together again and it have opened a 2nd chance for them to fix what they had broken in the past. Of course they have the ones who wants to help them and the ones that wants to break them apart.

Well written Visha.
My heart is trying to accept all the points you wrote, and I hope that from now on somebody really handles the tracks well. The story has indeed a lot of potential and with such a talented cast, what more can one ask?

I would also have loved to see some more happy FBVs of NR - those FBs were indeed so adorable.,

Coming to the point t of separation, indeed it was fault on both of their parts to not think of the future and not even try to sit and talk about the same. Immaturity and hot headedness did 't help them either.

Let's see how things are planned out now. The story needs to pick up now and those loopholes be taken care of.

Somebody please answer for how long had NR been married actually?

Hi Vishal,
You r right, again when 2 people decide on breaking up, they confront each other, they fight for an explanation, they cry . Most importantly family and friends play an important role to sort the issues.

Here all these things are missing...

Now that you mention it, the role of the key people in their lives, and their friends are totally missing.

Forget about past. Even at the present, RK, KD are just useless pillars, especially when RK knows the truth

A sister like PAM and mom like Ashaben...

Friends like dimpy karan and RK

May be ... This is where characters like dadaji, supernani and Ragini's father were missing .

Separation was the result bcz of these people not the Love

Stroy is not good, but yeah it had the potential to be amazing.

Imagine something like this:

- They just had two kids. Agam and Suhani. Agam could have stayed with Ragini and Suhani with Neil in the US.

a) I cannot believe they had that many kids in such a short span of time. I mean they are two educated people (Doctors, oh the irony) with jobs for Christ sake.

b) I don't like Ranbir, Aarav at all. They have got to be the biggest idiots I have ever seen. I mean which people in their teens behave that way??

- Divorce would have happened, if at all over a serious matter. That reason for separating has got to be the most ridiculous thing ever, so childish.

- Nevidita, Pam, Bari Nani, Shilpa and her mom etc would have been a 1000 miles away from this story.

I don't find the supposed jokes that Nani makes to be funny at all. Rather they are so annoying and come of as total insults. I wonder how everyone smiles and copes with them.
The less said about Nivedita and Pam the better. The both should be shipped off to a mental asylum and their they can continue their I hate Ragini plots.
These characters along with Aarav and Ranbir are not even one dimensional. Such waste of viewers time and screen space.

- Aman would only have been Ragini's boss and a close friend. That is it, everyone doesn't not have to be a love interest.

- Dr. Devika to have a bigger and meatier role. She is so much better the the crap we are forced to see every week.

- Neil and Ragini otherwise are perfect and amazingly portrayed by Ronit and Pallavi. The only highlight of the show and reason I keep on watching it.

I might write a story or something based along these lines. I love the main leads and I think the potential in this story is amazing. But Alas! they have to go and ruin everything.

Yes, that's true. I'm a very picky person on the shows i watch.
Some shows i watch for the lead and the chemistry and rare i watch a show not only for the lead but also for all the characters. Such show is IKNMP. Normally in an Ekta show, you have the OTT drama but its all being played subtle here so far which is good. Only IF the flashback had been taken care well, it would have been perfect.

Yes, the fault here lies entirely on the flashback that was shown to us. Mainly because the flashback seems to be rushed. The point that Neil and Ragini separating due to mis-understanding was fine but here, they didn't show all the divorce process and the pain they went through.

I believe that once they divorced, Pam took Neil to US and Ragini went to her mum's place. Karan and Dimpy always wanted Ragini and Neil to be together and remember when they first meet Ragini in the supermartket, they stated how despite living in the same city, they are finally meeting after so long while Ragini said she wanted to stay away from all the people who would remind her of her life before.

RK's role was disappointing. I really thought that he would be a catalyst in bring Neil and Ragini together but maybe the point was to use the person who they got separated to re-unite them - Suhaani.
