Gopi may cut ties with Ahem, she may cut ties with her daughters, but she will NEVER cut ties with Kokila because to her, her Maaji is more important than anyone else. Ahem and her children have always been secondary to her.

So I'd never be surprised if Gopi divorces Ahem, I can see it happening, but I would be shocked senseless if she actually cuts ties with Kokila.

In a way I can understand gopi's loyalty to kokila. Kokila was the first ever person (albeit for her own selfish reasons) to give gopi a dignified life, treat her like a family member deserves to be treated and not as a servant to her own aunt and cousin, a social standing. Kokila's actions punishments everything made Gopi the strong woman she is today alongwith other circumstances ofcourse.

Even today Koki is ready to go against her own son to protect her DIL's rights.

That is true but she did not do the right thing by lying about her illness. However, it does not reduce Ahem's mistakes. He too lied to the girls about their mom, making them to hate her.

Yeah, I guess so. In a way, Kokila was Gopi's first mother and even her own mother could never take her place. But still, Kokila also did many wrong things to Gopi and I don't think any normal woman would be able to take that, especially when she has children of her own.
