confused

I am abit confused with friday's episode when Vibhor saw that the dupatta belonged to riti. He was looking very much in love with the dupatta or more so he wanted to see the girl who it belonged to. And when he saw Riti he looked like he was in love with her and than when he was told by Rajiv that riti was the girl he had come to meet he was fine. I dnt understand was there something missing from the video that I watched? I thought that he did actually see that the dupatta belonged to riti or did I miss something and he doesn't know. Sandia

Your not the only one Sandia. I found the way he reacted to the news that Rithi was the girl Rajeev would possibly marry kind of odd myself. It seemed he was quite smitten with Rithi from first glance but just kind of brushed it off after Rajeev told him who Rithi was.

hi Parm good to see u here. And glad I wasn't the only 1 who thought that it was an extremely weird reaction. Guess I expected more will blame it on the acting lol

I just discovered the show myself 2 nights ago, lol.

There are 2 separate families (Vibhor's and Rithi's) whom both despise one another from something that happened 5 years ago.

From the flashback's that have been shown thus far (I haven't watched today's epi though) it seems highly likely that Rithi was engaged to Vibhor's older brother/cousin ( I'm not sure who the other 2 boys in Vibhor's extended family are - whether any are his actual brothers or if they are just cousin brother's (I'm going to assume the latter though).

Both families are well to do, with Vibhor's family in the jewelery business (not sure what kind of business Rithi's family are in).

So basically in the flashback you see a young Vibhor being asked by his family members to take a package back to Rithi's house. He has no idea what it is for but does as he is asked. At Rithi's home you see her behind some curtains with mehendi on her hands when Vibhor hands the thaila ladden with stuff to someone and he leaves. Since then Rithi has never had a marriage proposal and her parents (especially her mom) is worried about her future as she is nearly 27 years old (in 2 more months). Her parents have her complete her MBA to keep her occupied after the broken marriage from 5 years ago. Her parents are pretty modern adapting to change whereas Vibhor's family is very conservative and traditonal (this is shown in the two celebrate a holiday).

Rithi is ready to marry and settle down and have a family (as shown by the way she responded to her cousin's married life and new baby) plus she wants to see her mom no longer having to worry about her future.

Vibhor is only 22 years old, has just completed his education and is not interested in joining the family business just yet nor really of getting married. He wants to have fun and enjoy his life, especially considering the constrictions of his very traditional extended family (grandparents, thia's family as well as his immediate family). The uncle (thia by the way is a pain in the arse). His family suggested getting him married as they feel that having a wife might make him more mature and responsible. So they start getting his bio-data ready for the marriage mart.

Meanwhile, Rithi's cousin sister says that her MIL has found an ideal canditate for Rithi. He's a Dr. that just completed his studies in London and is wanting to open a hospital. He is 28 to Rithi's 26 and her mom's first reaction was...Is there something wrong with him as he hasn't married yet😆. Her niece replies, no that he just wanted to complete his studies first. The sit down to get her bio-data ready at the same time as Vibhor's family is doing his and it shows the differences that the families are expecting in the would be spouses and similarities of Rithi and Vibhor when they comment on their families expectations.

Next, Rithi's would be suitor (Rajeev) is going to be at a destination wedding (from the groom's side of the family) in Macau and Rithi's family will be attending form the bride's side. This is where they will meet each other. Also, attending the wedding will be Vibhor as his bhua's family is also from the groom's side. She takes Vibhor with her to the wedding.

Just before leaving for Micau, Rithi hurts herself slipping down the stairs (she has a sprain). Her mother is worried that the boy's family may think she is handicapped and making excuses (this is when Rithi or her cousin (can't quite remember who) said can't we just tell them she hurt herself?).

On the way to to the airportt Vibhor notices Rithi's duputta flying out her car window. He seems mesmerized by it for some reason and tries to catch a glimpse of her but his taxi unfortunately speeds up just then so he misses the opportunity. (as noted in Sandia's post above).

Once at the hotel Vibhor (who is super excited to be family free for even a day (his uncle and aunt will be joining him the following day) bumps into Rajeev. They are busy chatting as they haven't seen each other in a while (they've only met once it appears at a previous engagement) when Vibhor notices the dupatta again and finally manages to see Rithi. He seems to be infatuated with her. That is when Rithi's cousin happens to notice Rajeev and points him out to Rithi. Unfortunately, when Rithi tries to see Rajeev for herself he has turned to greet someone else and she only sees Vibhor who is himself gawking at her. He smiles when he sees her looking at him and that is when Rithi mistaken him for Rajeev. Rajeev finally turns around sees her and tells Vibhor that that is the girl his family wants to meet. Vibhor seems to take this news rather well (the reason of course for Sandia's post in the first place).


Anyway, basically from then until yesterday's episode, Rithi is under the misunderstanding the Vibhor is Rajeev and actually seems to start liking him (they've had one or two run in and an opportunity to talk). Once she finds out the truth she seems a bit upset and then of course she has the pleasure of actually meeting Rajeev (whom seems to be quite the ass himself).

After her meeting Rajeev asks Vibhor to befriend her so he can find out more about Rithi and see if she is suitable to be his wife🤢.


Anyway, that's about it (sorry for the length and unfortunately I have to run so I don't have time to proofread what I wrote...hope it all makes sense Elita😳😆)

Awe, your both very welcome. Hope you guys get a chance to watch the rest of the epi's. Thankfully the show only started on March 30th and only 9 episodes have gone by which was the only reason I was able to watch them😊

Yes, she must be older than Vibhor's bhabi(s) I'm assuming which is probably why Vibhor's bhabi(s) made that dig at her during the promo's.
