Arey haan, exactly. They both just reassure and reinstate their love all the time, in hurt or happiness. I was watching episode 27 last night, where dhruv sufffers one of his fits in the cafe where Nandini works and Nandu calls manik to the rescue.

There was such admiration in her glance, her silent gaze heaped accolades onto an unaware manik singing away to sooth a restless dhruv. I am sure if Manik had seen her watching him, he would have melted with the heat. Love took her inadvertently, looking wonderingly at the monster who never failed to turn an guardian angel for his friends.
