I love the way you've explained Arnav and Maya's deliberate choice as parents to move forward as friends. It is an incredibly refreshing take in a soap opera world where exes are the devil incarnate, no? I have so many friends whose parents are divorced- but remain close friends because they've made the effort to not bring that negativity into their relationship, and as a result, have built a wonderful relationship with each other outside of what was once a marriage.

Your Arnav... uff. That's all I will say about him, because he leaves my heart beating quickly and a blush on my face. Your description of his voice never fails to make me swoon- how do you do it? It's so subtle, the way you describe the tone with which someone speaks, but as a reader... I can hear it.

"she was aroused"- you know, I have never thought about it in this way. I've thought about it in metaphors and similes and heat pooling in stomach and fire in your veins but this... there's a... sexiness to the simplicity of that statement. There are no implied, it just is.

And that's how their kiss is, from both of their perspectives. Your power in writing these scenes is your honesty with it. Their kiss is, well, erotic, because of the unfiltered thoughts of the two characters. Like the way his head tilts- who would have thought of picking that detail to describe with such candidness? And Khushi trying to figure out how to kiss him- that realness, the slightly imperfect makes it perfect. And sent fire through my veins.

I love this chapter. Love love love it!

Second Chances is journey that I am savoring like my favorite dessert, enjoying every bite , slowly and hoping it last forever... so you my yaara, take all the time you need, I want this to last for a long time to come.

This update had so many flavors to it, I was satisfied, but left wanting to know more, so much more...

Arnav, as a father was so endearing, and I felt the emotions running through him. As a parent, you want nothing but the best for their future... so I commend him and Maya for putting aside whatever broke their marriage apart and staying friends for Mohan. Their are many couples out there that remains friends for their children... I am surrounded around a few of them and believe me, this is not unrealistic.

When the last update ended, I was hoping to get a glimpse of what Arnav was thinking when he abruptly hung up on Khushi, and you didn't disappoint... I actually loved to see his impatience, and now I know why. A glimpse of their past, shows these two had such an amazing chemistry. The attraction between them was explosive, and their kiss...WOW! I loved it, reading it from both POV's, it gives insight of how the relationship started.

Now I can see why these two did not forget the other... Khushi with NK and Arnav with Maya, their relationship, attraction, love was different compared to what they shared for a short span of time. I am so glad Arnav opened the vault to the past and reminding Khushi... now let's hope she embraces the feelings... slowly but surely... I am looking forward to that journey...

Oh, oh, oh, oh... I want to know every dare, you hear me SS... everyone... this should be fun! And Khushi you go girl for acting on the attraction and kissing him, hell who wouldn't want to kiss our dear Arnav!

Can't wait to see who is at the door...

Another spectacular update, take a bow because you are simply amazing! 👏

Gosh Mirabell, I was completely taken aback when I reached the end of the update 😳 You are being way too kind, thank you :) It's your writing that is full of gems that leap out at the reader. It's your inherent ability to weave words, creating a tapestry of emotions that always, but always, engulf me.

As it did in this chapter. Ruminating over the past, reflecting on the present. Your heart goes out to the father in Arnav as he touches his sleeping child even while Khushi and Meera's mantra of "We are okay, we will be okay" echoes in the mind. Mohan will be okay. His father will make sure he's okay. I like how you're slowly giving us an understanding of Maya. We all have our crosses to bear, but to be able to look beyond the self is what defines us ultimately. Both of them seeking what is best for their child.

An intriguing peek into what transpired "10years 10months 8days" back. And to get it from both their perspectives was an absolute treat. "Their first kiss" *thud*. His eyes *sigh* "Hum toh fanaah ho gaye uskii ankhen dekh kar Ghalib, Naa janay woh Aainaa kiasay dekhte hogey ..."

"They just borrowed her womb for nine months" - a beautiful allusion to the close natural affinity Naren and Meera shared. Mirabell that moment when she realises she's able to smile at a memory with the "gut wrenching pain softened" was so lovely. The way you've built up to it is so lovely. Isn't that when we can genuinely look to the future?

In the meanwhile, waiting and wondering ... will he, won't he ...

Awesome... A little insight into their past... Why khushi thinks that being widow she can't feel any thing about other man ..A man who came in her life before nk... Will she feel guilty that what she feel for arnav is different from what she felt for nk... I myself feel that what she felt for nk was a companionship rather then love ... Let's wait and watch

MB, every damn update you just leave me speechless. I want to say so much, yet I feel words will betray me today to put my emotions in words. How do you do it??? How do you manage to take me to a whole different world with every update where I can just see Arnav, Khushi, Meera or Mohan around me.

First coming to Arnav and Maya, uff I am falling for this Arnav more and more with each passing update. For a man to put aside his ego and bitterness against a failed marriage and to establish a friendship with his ex-wife takes a lot of hardwork and patience. And I am sure both Arnav and Maya have consciously worked so hard to reach this stage they are at today. Kudos to them for doing it for their child.

As it is divorce between parents is tough on kids, and for Mohan who is a little different than other kids, if things were not pleasant between his parents, I cannot even imagine the negative impact it would have had on him. I admire Arnav and Maya for giving a love filled environment to Mohan and I must admire even Kailash for accepting this friendship between his wife and her ex-husband.

What should have been an uneventful event, turned out to be life threatening for Maya. Motherhood was bestowed on her with a bundle of travails rather than blessings. It wasn't easy to go against convention, especially where motherhood was concerned.

The above sentences has intrigued me a lot. Want to know more about Maya now. What happened to her during her pregnancy and childbirth?? How did it affect her marriage with Arnav? Also Mohan being diagnosed with ASD, did it have negative impact on their marriage?

I have heard a lot and read too that many couples break up post the death of a child or if the child has been diagnosed with sickness either mental of physical. Was it the case here too???

Now coming to Arnav and Khushi - OMG what an explosive attraction they had towards each other. You have described their first kiss in such a way that it literally set my computer screen on fire!!!!

Either be it their first kiss or the challenge for the exchange of the t-shirts, well one thing is sure, such chemistry is very rare to find in this world. No wonder even after 10 years neither one of them have forgotten even the minutest details about it.

Their past has been so well etched in their memories that time had just deposited a layer of dust on them and with each passing day, with feelings being rekindled, the dust is slowly getting blown away by winds of their hidden passion revealing to us readers what a rare and unique history they both shared.

Also MB, I would like to thank you for showing Khushi as a normal person with normal desires.

In India, either be it movies or sitcoms, it is always shown that a man initiates intimacy and woman usually fulfills his desire. How rubbish is that!!! Cant a woman have desires, cant she initiate sex, a woman needs it as much as a man needs it. Here I am glad that their first kiss was initiated by Khushi.

Ofcourse coming to the present, she feels guilty that she might be cheating NK's memories by rekindling those feelings and she is scared of the reactions from society, her MIL etc, all that is natural.

For all the magical spell words in the chapter, it should be expected and considered perfectly normal for every reader to find themselves speechless.

Going by the comments, you words are deservingly a rage. For me they are smooth and cool. Like a river, they flow like there is no ending or beginning. There is nothing methodical but there is also nothing messy about it. They feel like a conversation we are in and somehow we always end up acting it on our heads along with reading it with our eyes. Lot of authors make us connect but somehow you have reached that dimension where I feel that you are actually communicating with us with your story😊.

For a kid like Mohan who has parents who not only gave him his life, but also gave a lot of their life too, it is rather an unfair world's view that Mohan is the unlucky one. Thanks for making us part of Arnav's solitude moments with Mohan and giving us the background on Maya on what keeps her grounded.

Age is for the body. Now try convincing your heart about counting the years especially at a time when your brain is sending signals about the sweet memories of the hot kind. The kiss from the past and the tears from the present - just simply awesome. Touche to whoever said Eve was the first one to take that bite of the apple😉.

I guess I just realized how much of Lavanya we miss😃. I so wish she ends up in Delhi for nothing better than amusing us😊

Lastly, I will be devouring this chapter a few times before you give us the new one the following Thursday. What to do, the hunger of the senses is a tough one to please😉.
