Episode 10: The Beast of The Abyss
At Roshan's house, Mr. Roy was sitting in the living room before Roshan and Sanaya. Roshan and Sanaya were seated on the couch, trying to sit as far away as possible so they wouldn't raise any further suspicion from Mr. Roy. "So tell me...what's going on here?" Mr. Roy asked.
"What are you talking about, dad?" Roshan asked.
"You know what I'm talking about!" Mr. Roy exclaimed. "I came here because I knew something was up when I called here and a girl answered the phone!"
"You called?" Roshan asked.
"Yes! And a girl answered the phone and then hung up!" Mr. Roy said. "So obviously it was your so called 'friend' Sanaya!"
Roshan eyed Sanaya with frustrated eyes while she gulped. "Sanaya...you've been keeping quiet. Say something." Mr. Roy told Sanaya.
"Yes, uncle. I answered the phone," Sanaya replied. "Truth is...I've been staying here with Roshan for some time. Its because-"
"Oh I get it!" Mr. Roy exclaimed. He stood up from his chair. "I should've known about this when I first met you two! And frankly I shouldn't be surprised! This is how youngsters are nowadays."
"What are you talking about, dad?!" Roshan asked, scared.
"I mean...I know!" Mr. Roy exclaimed. "You two are in love, aren't you?!"
"WHAT?!" Roshan and Sanaya shouted in unison.
"Uncle, you got it all wrong!" Sanaya protested.
"Yes, dad!" Roshan agreed. "We're not-"
"Do I look stupid to you two?!" Mr. Roy asked. "I myself was a ladies man at your age! So I know when something is happening between a boy and a girl! Like that friend of yours...what's his name...Sagar! Aren't he and that Bhoomi girl in love?!"
"Dad, they're not dating!" Roshan responded.
"They'll say that! But I know something is brewing! Just like between you two!" Mr. Roy said. "As for approval, I like you, Sanaya. You seem like a very sweet, angelic girl. But of course I can't let you two just stay here together before your marriage."
"MARRIAGE?!" Roshan and Sanaya exclaimed.
"Of course! I'll have to get you two married some time! Not now! Wedding will be completely tip top! It'll take a couple of months! So for now, Sanaya, you can stay here for a few more days. I'll arrange for your stay at one of my penthouses nearby." Mr. Roy told Roshan and Sanaya.
"Uncle, that's not necessary!" Sanaya exclaimed. "And also-"
"I know you want to stay with your one and only true love! But just wait a couple of months and you two can stay together always," Mr. Roy said. "Anyways, I'll be leaving now."
With that, Mr. Roy left Roshan's house, leaving Roshan and Sanaya shocked and appalled. "What the heck was that all about?!" Sanaya asked Roshan in a shouting tone.
"I don't know! My dad didn't even let us explain!"
"And now he thinks that we're lovers and he's going to get us married!"
"This is your fault!"
"My fault?!"
"You answered his phone call! Why would you do that?!"
"You were knocked out! I wasn't paying attention so I answered the call and I panicked because it was him!"
"This is horrible! Just horrible!"
"Now what do we do?!"
"I GOT TO GO MAKE COOKIES! COOKIES ARE THE ONLY THING THAT CAN MAKE ME FEEL BETTER NOW!"
Roshan dashed off to the kitchen while Sanaya looked on in disbelief. "Unbelievable." Sanaya shook her head. "In this situation, he wants to make cookies."
Suddenly, a portal had then formed on the wall of the living room, startling Sanaya. She looked at it and called out, "Roshan!"
"WHAT?!" Roshan shouted as he then came out from the kitchen. He stopped, seeing the portal in his living room. "Are you kidding me?! One one end my dad is trying to get me married! Another end I'm out of cookie dough! And now this portal opens up and is going to attract more dust into my house!"
"Shut up,yaar! We have to go now." Sanaya said.
Roshan rolled his eyes as he and Sanaya went in the portal. They were then transferred to the chamber of Master Suri's tower where Sagar, Bhoomi, Krish, and Chaya had arrived in as well.
"Good. You two finally come." Master Suri said.
"Yeah, yeah! Can we get on with this already?!" Roshan asked in frustration.
"What's with you two?!" Krish asked.
"Long story. Let's not discuss it." Sanaya said.
"So you called us?" Sagar said to Master Suri.
"Yes. Its time to send you all on your missions. Are you ready?" Master Suri asked the Spectrum.
"Of course we are!" Bhoomi exclaimed.
"Where exactly are we all going?" Chaya asked.
"Vardhan has hidden the three shards in three different locations. I was able to find the locations but not the specific beholders if there are any. Hence, this will be a little more difficult," Master Suri explained. "Are you all ready to take the challenge?"
"We are." Sagar agreed for the group.
"Very well. Sagar and Bhoomi...you two will be sent to Sector Raat," Master Suri stated. "Krish and Chaya...you two will be going to Sector Mahi. And Roshan and Sanaya...you two will go to Sector Pani."
After assigning locations, Master Suri opened three portals for each team. "Each portal will take you to your sector. Good luck."
With that, the Spectrum split up into their partnerships and went into their respective portals.
At Sector Paani, Roshan and Sanaya had arrived from the portal into the area. The entire land was surrounded by large bodies of water which led towards what was known as the Kingdom of Water. "So this is Sector Paani?" Roshan said. "Interesting. Almost as I pictured it."
"Looks like the water has cooled you down."
"Hey! I'm still upset! My father is such a pain! How could he even think of getting me married?! How could-"
"What?!"
"OH DEAR LORD! THERE ARE ONLY FIVE LILY PADS ON THIS SIDE OF THE WATERS! AN ODD NUMBER!"
"Not this nonsense again."
Sanaya's eyes then beamed. "I sense something! It must be the prism shard!" Sanaya exclaimed. She then took off, transforming into her tiger form. "Hey! Wait up!" Roshan exclaimed as he then followed Sanaya.
Sanaya continued to run down the land until she reached a nearby body of water. She stopped, transforming back into her human form as she looked down into the waters while Roshan caught up. Roshan looked at the waters and gasped. "DEAR LORD! EVEN HERE THERE ARE FIVE LILY PADS!" Roshan cried. "HOW CAN THE RULERS OF THIS KINGDOM EVEN THINK OF DOING THIS?!"
"Right. Like they should make everything even numbered for the sake of your eyesight."
"Well of course they should!"
"Enough of that. I sense the prism shard's prescence down there."
Roshan looked down into the waters, noticing a deep chasm down in the water. "There's an abyss down there. Are you sure?" Roshan asked.
"Positive. Looks like we'll have to go underwater."
"No way!"
"Why not?!"
"There's no way I can go into a body of water that has an uneven number of lily pads!"
"You can't be serious?!"
"I am!"
"Fine then. I'll go on my own!"
And with that, Sanaya held her breath as she jumped into the water while Roshan looked on. As Sanaya went further down into the water, she hesitated, seeing the abyss as she got further to it. She then tapped her prism shard, transforming into spectrum form. Sanaya then swam down into the abyss, using the light of her shard to light up the darkness down there. As she continued to swim, she looked around every corner for the prism shard. And that was when she found it lying around on a rocky surface. But as she went towards it, she was frightened at what she saw. A large electric blue colored water serpent glowed in the shadows of the abyss upon seeing Sanaya. The water serpent made its way to attack Sanaya, but Sanaya swam away before she could get hit. Sanaya tried to look around for a light source. "Oh no," she said. "Without any light energy, I can't do anything! Roshan...I need you now! Quit acting like a fool!"
Sanaya then turned to see the water serpent launch a hyper beam attack which hit Sanaya directly. On land, Roshan was waiting outside. "I'm sure she's doing fine! After all, there's no way I'm going down in the water when there are an odd number of lily pads!" Roshan exclaimed. Suddenly, Roshan stood aback as the explosion from the hyper beam attack rose upward in the waters. When it died down, Roshan looked down into the waters. "On second thought, she probably needs help!"
Roshan tapped on his prism shard, transforming into spectrum form. He then jumped into the water and immediately swam downward into the abyss. Before he could even look at the water serpent, he saw Sanaya laying on the ground injured. The water serpent then launched another hyper beam attack. But before it could hit Sanaya, Roshan got Sanaya out of the way. "Now you decide to come?!" Sanaya shouted at Roshan.
"Hey! At least I came! And how come I can talk underwater?!"
"In spectrum form, you can! Its part of the package! Now are you ready to finish this monster off so we can get the shard?!"
"That thing?! How can I?! It'll kill us! I can't-"
Roshan then turned to the water serpent and gasped. "WHAT AN ATROCITY!" Roshan exclaimed. "THAT ABOMINATION HAS THREE EYES! AN ODD NUMBER! NOW WE HAVE TO GET RID OF IT!"
"Oh good. For once, your even number obsession puts you in the right drive."
"Are you ready?!"
"Yes! Lets take him down together!"
